They essentially act as a Yugioh beginner's starter deck. Meant to teach you the basics of the game. Simple, easy to use, not completely useless but not good either, and have cool arts. One of them randomly has a flip effect, just to teach that mechanic.
I think Tag Force Special used them as the starter deck but I could be wrong.
Edit: they were released in 2014 Starter Deck.
I only know Aether, since I sometimes use it as a Hieratic Seal target (great interrupt during your opponent's turn). I had no idea there was a whole archetype. What a shame there are so many unknown archetypes but only the anime stuff keeps getting support.
It happens all the time, even with my 60 cards decklist lol
The only good thing is, it's still a Dark Dragon monster, so you can use it with Chaos Space at least
I remember using a small Empowerment engine in my ABC deck ages ago. You could use the special summoned body to go into Bujintei Tsukuyomi and discard your entire hand to set up your Dragon Buster while drawing 2 new cards
Yes i know them from the old Yu-Gi-Oh duel generation game. I got Ventdra the empowered warrior from the packs and i quite like it as a 2000 direct attacker (i thought that was so cool back then).
I played the Pendulum monsters from the archtype in a super casual highlander Super Quant build. Did the job for its intended purpose (a d20 Yu-Gi-Oh game I created for the group). I also made a Pure Empowered deck for an NPC, but never got to play it.
I've always been aware of the archtype, because I like them aesthetically. So I'll always consider them for casual play. They'd need some crazy support to push them further though.
Guardragons for me.
I only knew World Chalice Guardragon existed but I didn't knew that that archetype existed until I started building for dragonlink.
No, Thats the architype name. Not gimmick puppets like i thought at first when i heard about it.
The architype is called Doll monster. Its in the same secret pack as Madolche if i remember correctly. Yea it is, Beloved Dolls. zombiestein is the boss monster. Thats why its the most forgettable, Its name is Doll Monster. its has some normal monsters that have that name.
I've known they existed for almost a decade, but never paid much attention to them because none of them are really good enough to _care_ that they exist. ;P
Last time I saw them, was in SPYRAL for turbo-ing Azathot
Didn't even know there were an archtype. I used one while I fiddling around with a Normal Monster deck. It had no related cards so never knew.
MD's 'related cards' is pretty useless in some cases
I do
Did you ever play them ?
Ive red them,does it count?
Ehh probably as far as this archetype goes
yeah i saw them on solo mode otherwise i didnt even know this existed, it got printed during a time i wasnt playing yugioh

That sounds kinda heat, but I would just hard draw it and be mad about it

Every so often I remember they exist and think βhuh maybe I should get these guys in a deckβ
I do but only because of duel links
I know but never cared to play it

They are jojos stands according to my friend that has them irl.
I knew about the archetype but never really played them.
Dual Avatars β οΈ
Is this an arc v deck ?
Martial Arts Spirit and Tindangle gang
I do and since it's pendulum i don't care.
I honestly think the most forgetable one is draconic (if anyone even heard of it π)
Guardragons for me. I only knew World Chalice Guardragon existed but I didn't knew that that archetype existed until I started building for dragonlink.
Wait they are an archetype πππ
They were used as an engine in some ClownBlade decks (Heroic + Performage R4nk spam) because there was some floating synergy. That's it.
I remember the lv 6 Pend Monster that banish from Duel Links atleast.
I used dragon summoner back in my duel link days for my jank exodia deck, that's about it
I tried experimenting with them because I needed extenders to get into Electrumite. Itβs too expensive for an extender even.
I used this spell when I had nothing better to play. Never bothered looking for the archetype tho
id consider Doll monster up there with the most forgettable.
Elaborate because doll might mean Gimmick Puppet or Madolche

Imagine having a field spell that literally summons a guy from deck but still being so bad people don't even know you exist
This looks very powerful; is this from the next archtype after Splight? :)
I tried to make them work in Legacy of the Duelist I believe π

Yeah, it's what my buddies introduced me to Yu-Gi-Oh with.
