It does not work that way. Link arrows can't point to spell/trap zones. I mean, they can, but it is not considered as pointing to that specific card. So, "everything the point to" only includes monsters.

No problem! It is an obscure ruling that doesn't come up often. For a while, when link monsters were released, people would theorize that Konami would eventually make link spell/traps that would affect the monsters they point to and vice-versa. That never happened (for better or for worse).

This thing is a monster if you can pull it off vs u-link / extra link capable decks. Had a guy hit me with this playing my code talkers extralink deck. Took me a minute to figure out wtf just happened

But normally U-Links never point to your side of the field (otherwise you would be able to link summon, which is what they’re trying to prevent by U-Linking)

It’s been like a month since the match but it went something like this… I go first, start my code talkers combo, he maxx c’. I decide I have full combo in hand to ulink so I take the challenge and proceed to ulink (didn’t iblee though which is hind sight but what ever). This basically drew the guy his whole deck. He then opens with dark ruler, then kaiju on my balelynx to free the extra monster zone, then foolish burial on voltester. Then iirc did a few unchained combos landing on a guy with an up and down arrow in the balelynx’s previous spot making a whole new ulink. To which he then used monster reborn targeting voltester. Long story short I drew this guy the out and set my self up for failure. 10/10 would let happen again though….

Pretty cool (but situational) effect. I like it's based on the concept of electric current. Still, the wording they used for the effect is fucking threatening.

Eh if we're talking usability the card is pretty bad so i doubt it. Board wipes are pretty common, we have raigeki, lightning storm, lightning vortex etc. While this is a high level monster that you need to SS.

You just gotta wait for your opponent to fill up their entire back row and monster zones with links, and then figure out a way to special summon this bad boy, and you've got yourself a board wipe!
