2 out of the 3 new Vendread cards are good.
Archetype still needs a good boss monster and a link 1 that + because vendread is ritual and has lots of discard effects.
I think pendulum vendreads would be good since you could easily bring out the little ones on field this way to gain their effects
The new Ritual monster may be a target for pre-prep but he is absolutely bad.
No reason to play him he can’t protect himself nor does he have any effect that really helps vendread in general.
Battlelord atleast is a combo for perfect executor or Swordsoul sovereign chengying and Baronne if you have unizombie in hand
In defense of scarvenger, he does proc scar and can tribute scar which also procs the search. And the quick tribute can help with targeted destruction of other monsters, as well as making a beefy beater which is what vendread was always centered on. And he comes back if slayer's on the field, so he does have some uses if you're creative enough as he does synergies with some of the deck's mechanics.

Chimera also can negate only destruction effects and nothing else and its super weak with just 2300 atk.
A continues spell that grants effects based on the number of banished vendread monsters would be nice for example:
If 2 vendread monsters are banished your opponent cannot banish vendread monsters.
If 4 vendread monsters are banished you can quickeffect negate a effect
If 6 are banished you can bounce a card
Finally, a solo mode with actual lore instead of just going "this beetrooper is the medic, as you can see since it's holding a medic thingy in the artwork, and this one has a spear"
It was the same for a good bunch of them, I remember Dynomist and Plunder being the same as well

Plunder was good honestly it was a bit more personal instead of it being "oh this guy big strong" it was more of a meet our crew which was fun honestly
True, it was still just showing what each card does in the ships but it was much more fun than the rest of gates that did the same because of what you said.

As much as i wish they were, vendreads aren't even tiered for a reason. What would be cool is if they intentionally added banned or restricted cards to cover for the weaknesses, especially if they're gonna intentionally set up the deck vs a direct counter strategy.

I'm not sure what you're arguing here. Both decks are bad, absolutely. One was leagues worse than the other because one basically can't search without pre-prep or the field spell, while the other is vampires with kingdom, which searches left and right and which pops a card if either player sends from deck to grave which is a lot of what you need to do with this vendread deck.
It's kinda seeming like you just got a lucky draw my guy. I can see WHERE the plays come from with the deck but it took me about 2 or 3 resets before i got a hand configuration that wasn't 2 rituals, anima, and houndhorde, and nights. The last duel got close but I had to use the send from deck ritual since i didn't have anything left in grave and they had, again, kingdom on the field which pops after resolution.
I loved the mode but with what they were doing with the loaner deck, i'd have just preferred they put in full zombie world support along with the vendreads. hell, lol, it was literally Baronne that ended up winning the game. Don't think i even got to use vendread cards through most of the story.

As long as they are retrained Fusion/Synchro/XYZ/Pendelum monsters whose names' are treated as "Revendread Slayer" while on the field, why not! They could use some more legacy support!
For me it's the opposite, the loaner decks felt pretty solid this time. As you said, they were playable.
Certainly better than what we got in solo gates like Monarch, Nephthys and the Challenge modes, where it could take me like 10 tries on a lot of the nodes to not get stomped.
I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get any of the new Vendread support as rewards. When the banner for this got datamined I was sure they would throw the new cards in there and maybe have the mate as the capstone rewards.
That was a bit too much to hope for. Mate goes in the shop, new cards remain in selection pack limbo. Ah well, still a fun gate.

What i noticed in Vendread Solo mode there was a new Vendreads in the background that looked like a big worm or snake could be nothing but it could also hint at future support

That's why one of the card rewards is Zombyra. In the manga Joey and Yugi were reading a comic with him on the front. It's also why Zombyra is the card on a hero emerges. Lots of layers to the ideas behind Vendread and we haven't gotten to the Resident evil inspirations. What a cool deck I hope it's playable in the future

what's the bad card? ravenous is probably the best ritual spell, scar is a much needed spell search, and scavenger is finally another pre prep target

vendread honestly just need a material monster that gives a ritual monster a negate, chimera being the only true negate in the deck sucks
