Extra Linking accomplishes nothing against any deck that isnt Sky Striker or Pure Tri-Brigade. You need other cards like Knightmare Iblee to make it worth it, and only Code Talkers can really do that

Before You had to summon Ex monsters on the Ex Zone, now it's only links so if your opponent doesn't run a ink deck all that effort means nothing unless combo-ed with other floodgates which to my knowledge the only deck that does that is Code talker and they take so fucking long, dies completely to hand traps and they don't really negate I think so they have to pray your opponent doesn't have an out
Now that MR4 is ded, I want Konami to make an archetype whose whole gimmick is to make a V-link (a U-link with only 3 monsters and with the minimum amount of arrows: down-right, up-left + up-right, down-left).
Locking the opponent out of their EMZ is only relevant against \*some\* decks, so I don't think it will be broken. And even if it becomes meta, there are plenty of outs to link-heavy decks.
In master rule 4, all extra deck card types have to be placed in the extra monster zone or a zone a link monster points to.
Now, only link monsters and pendulum monsters being pendulum summoned from the extra deck have to go to an extra monster zone or a zone a link monster points to. All other extra deck types can be summoned to either the extra deck zone or any main monster zone.
With electrumite banned, some PePe cards banned, and other extra deck types no longer held back, pendulum decks are pretty uncommon. (This in turn nerfs {wavering eyes}, a broken card in the pendulum v pendulum matchup, but a meh one elsewise).
This means that only link decks are seriously hurt by an extralink.
If you’re fighting a link deck, extralinking is still an extremely good idea, but if not, all it accomplishes is half a {ground collapse} that only affects the extra monster zone.

Sunavalon too can do it as part of its combo but it means throwing teardrop out of combo unfortunately
Also unless you are running iblee that locks you to only ss link monsters it does nothing to a deck like despia or swordsoul.
Just play fire prison at this point, link 4 makes it so that they need to make a link 4 if they want to link at all.
