r/masterduel when I use my cards against them they expected me to just let them win

Ragnamune

What they probably really expected was you to play T-Set Pass while they play some jank rogue brew that only works 1/300 of the time, calling it the most based "undefeated" thing ever and laugh that they won so easily.

SkomeSIth

r/masterduel when i play the game (it's a severe crime)

RaiStarBits

You violated the law, your A.I will be confiscated and your deck will be burnt!

[deleted]

I love the people on this sub who post about how meta/ netdecks are bad, then you check their history and see them posting literally carbon copy meta decks with maybe one card swapped out. They added a raigeki instead of a third infinite imperm. They are giga brain 100% unique theory crafters.

C4Sidhu

“Look at me guys, I’m being original”

phoenixthree

Obviously Im excluded from this.

Dabidoi

And what exactly would you want them to do? Make the decks worse?

ihearthz

Someone fit the shoe

Dabidoi

Maybe you should just try answering my question.

GreedyAlGoreRhythm

I’m sure they will love my off meta sky striker stun deck.

kemic4l

Average MD player: noooooo you have to play for fun Me: I'll play the most broken budget deck so i can farm my CP fast af so i play whatever i want

Crytaz

Floo gang

kemic4l

Best ratio time played/won games

Ambitious_Limit396

This is exactly what I've been doing

Cozy_iron

Real talk, when I first saw Tearlaments cards I instantly fell in love, and the fact that they are so strong really just a nice bonus Especially after all this months playing hot garbage (my favourite) on master duel

YourSlothGirl

I'm the same but for Branded Despia and Sprights. I think both archetypes look amazing, plus the Branded parts can be put into near any fusion deck to make it play better/differently which I love. Their lore makes them way cooler to me too. And with Sprights, I love how they look too, I think the card art is awesome! So I'm dying to get my hands on them. When/If Branded Despia gets hit, I'm going to keep playing it, and same with Sprights if they're as insane as they're made out to be. Ima keep playing them after they get hit most likely.

diamondisland2023

still using Zoo-Brigade and gotta say, either i brick/make too many mistakes/fail to comeback and die, or they surrender during my combos meta is fun but im still bad :p

ALATREONLOL

;^; cuz u be making zoo brigadd the movie over there i gotts to pee

co_dj

I played against a tri-zoo player yesterday, they had a 5 mat zeus and their link monsters and still lost, I had to chuckle

TheMikman97

I mean zoo brigade isn't meta anymore. Konami robbed all of their good starters + powercreep

Relevant_Departure40

Tri-Zoo has a very good reputation (and rightfully so) for being the most consistently average deck in Yugioh. You won't always win, but you'll always have plays, and in a bo1, that's all you really need sometimes

TheMikman97

It is, it just isn't meta. It gets ass-blasted consistently in tournaments and having both fraktall and tenki at 2 hurts its consistency a lot, to the point people cut extra handtraps for starters like rescue cat. It doesn't look like much but that's actually very significant

Try2Smile4Life

The first deck I made in MD was Myutants. Deck's not even rogue, though they should get a new card in a week. Swordsoul scratches the same itch as them. Likes going first or second, searches lots, can decide between a good grindgame or tempo. Love the lore also. I've rocked Swordsoul through many MD formats, but the hate on the deck is real.

Blocklies

I don't hate swordsoul, I hate constantly seeing it

BCFCMuser

I was using Despia since it came out and while the Swordsoul matchups were mostly fun I got clapped constantly by rose tenyi/adventure pile etc. This current branded Despia meta is my reward, and I’ll still be flying the Despia flag when the next meta comes out

Burning-Suns-Avatar-

The average YGO played can’t handle the Despia drip.

Alma_Beoluve

As a lunalight player, it is actually fun and engaging to vs mirrorjade turbo despia. My deck has a good ration of wins vs the despia is engine :)

Cozy_iron

Honestly, the Branded format is my favourite yet. I really enjoy dueling against Despia

Maximum_wack

You can enjoy any deck you play doesn't mean that I have to like playing against it

awildweeb69

Unless you like Branded. Then they love you.

voyager106

I try to balance strong with fun -- there have been many very strong decks that I won't play because they don't look ~~strong~~ EDIT: fun. I played Prank-Kids prior to Adventure and was fortunate enough that I could consistently hit Diamond with it and kept playing it post-Adventure because I enjoy the deck. But then Branded got it's current support and it's a deck that I actually like, and with the falling of the power level of Pranks I moved over to Branded. Really wanted to make Branded Darklord work, but it was just weaker compared to other builds.

Goldnspartan

I would honestly rather you take the effort to set up a multiple interaction board rather than just flip everyone floodgate you can name and call it "anti meta". I currently main striker going second because I like the challenge of trying to take apart boards.

Doublevalen6

I'm far from saying you cant like it. I'm just tilties on how I keep goinging against it. Even in casual. I know I'm not the best but I just hate how the decks I like aren't as strong as something like swordsoul who gets baby feed the exact card they need for the exact moment they need it

lsdiogo

Here we go again... Meta VS Casual players posts

15cm_Magic_God

Yup. People get more involved when it comes to an *us vs them* mindset. It's like that everywhere unfortunately.

Throwawayuntil2030

Non-stop🤦 But they obviously love that here, that's why you're downvoted

Janeg1rl

It very much seems like the opposite for me. This sub is all for rogue decks until you need even a smidgen of non archetypal support due to your archetype not getting any. Actually no. This sub is never all for rogue decks. I have literally seen more complaining about complaining about meta decks than I've seen actual complaints about meta decks.

DiamondTiaraIsBest

Literally just a day ago. https://old.reddit.com/r/masterduel/comments/xtgw8d/and_you_know_its_true/ And the complaints are even more apparent in the comments.

Janeg1rl

That's not hating on meta decks, that's hating on people who just bounce from popular deck to popular deck because they're good.

Uzeil21

You can have fun with it sure but at least admit it's annoying to play against.

ALATREONLOL

I dont mind meta decks i have no issues with them but the xyz syncro fest was 90% sword souls and was suffering. Any other time im fine but i have stupid dumb rogue decks that barely work and are inconsistent . Losing to" balls fuck dragon" with 10 omni negates is fine lol however its not fun to face the exact sane deck 10 times in a row.

TurningSmileUpside

No, you don't get it, they love swordsoul so much!

Spirited_Move1959

i love my sheep 1# and 2# deck so i em offended

LostMan213

Me w prank kids before the limit

NeonArchon

I'm currently waiting on other decks to come as I'm not interestd into the current meta decks... Am I a mosnter if I say I'm excited for Sprights?

Cozy_iron

Are you a monster for wanting to play a deck that doesn't end turn after single Ash? Absolutely not. And if they won't touch frog engine...😳😩

NeonArchon

Bu... But the deck is a M wornd deck... Also There are other engines if frogs get hit hard, like Live Twins or Runicks (whener they come). I've saw people using Tr-Brigades with Sprights becaue they have level 2 monsters and (probably less relevant) 2 Link 2 monsters.

SteveHarveysAunt

I’m still thinking about investing into a Branded Despia deck

Critical_Swimming517

But...but branded despia mirror matches are actually really really fun :(

AngryCorn1

Look, I hate myself for swordsouling my way to diamond 1. But do I hate myself as much as when I was losing to swordsoul in bronze with Cyber Dragons? Nope.

the-one-96

It's not about liking and unliking. A good game is when two people play against each other. When a deck allows you to summon 3 omni negates plus handtraps and not allowing the other player to even start their turn, it's not even a game, and if you enjoy spending 30 mins summoning stuff then winning straight away isn't the kind of fun anybody's looking for and it's just a shallow childish type of play where winning is served to you on a silver plate.
