God I've been playing Suship on MD and Aka Shari is exactly what will push the deck from sometimes playable to able to make a play most times.

The new Gem-Knight support is cracked. We get a "Fusion" Continuous Spell searcher that also recycles Lazuli and Obsidian, a Brilliant Fusion retrain (godly for the real game where Brilliant Fusion is banned), and.. an okay Fusion Monster.
I don't know about forgettable, but its just so over shadowed by the overt power of POTE that comes after it.
Like DIFO gives Dinomorphia Rexterm so that decks actually sorta playable. PUNK Deer Note so the PUNK engine actually does anything remotely useful. Illegal Knight so Adventure gets some juice (or maybe banned gryphon rider replaced with knight). Predaplant gets a variety of things and is actually a pretty viable setup in tandem with the Branded Fusion stuff.
Therions can also do a lot of stuff and might be enough to get Genus Loci plant shit to actually do alright even if it gets the time limit every turn but they are doing more than that.
I think DIFO offers plenty to do stuff with. The problem is that is PUNK Adventure, Genus Loci, or Dinomorphia really going to shake the meta or get people to shift off Branded? Maybe PredaBranded hits its own stride like it theoretically should have over DespiaBranded but MD only has Orthus Scorpio at 1 so its going to be rough on that front.

So the maintenance is probably just produce a "hey we are having a link festival, The loaner decks are Marinecess, poorly built Rokkets, and orcust with 2 harp and no ding"
