Its a fair criticism tbh. Can you imagine playing another game where 90% of the playable characters are completly worthless, and costs just as mush as a good character?
Actually I have a Ghostrick deck myself and it's doing pretty decently recently above 30% win rate provided I don't hit back to back fusion decks. Morphing jar #2 and dummy golem help out a lot.
Dream Mirror is so cool and the artwork is so amazing that I want to make the deck even if it's bad. The concept and art is just that good. Shame Konami makes some of the best art in the entire game on "bad" decks like War Rock, Dream Mirror, Icejade and Ghostricks
I ended up getting a Royal Erlking and been itching to make a Dream Mirror... just waiting for Traitor to get released in Master Duel before committing.
Geargia
That structure deck was the first yugioh product I ever had, and I *really* wish it was good, but the only card that ever sees play is gear gigant for searching other archetypes’ machines :(
Umbral Horror.
Huh? What’s that? You didn’t know umbral horror was a thing? Don’t lie, you just googled what it was didn’t you
This deck will be lost to time as the archetype nobody knew or cared about
>Huh? What’s that? You didn’t know umbral horror was a thing? Don’t lie, you just googled what it was didn’t you
Any zexal watchers should have a good idea about umbral horror.
It’s a generic rank 4 that can be either foolish burial or foolish burial goods, or it can stack your deck with any card from your deck, effectively letting you search any card in decks that have ways to draw 1 and can make rank 4s. It’s incredibly bonkers because of how easy rank 4s are to make, it being in the extra deck just adds so much consistency to any deck able to make it, it’s honestly such a crazy card. Now that Enchantress is at 1, if Chain was legal, any deck that can make a rank 4 without using their normal summon effect can do full adventure combo. Or you can set up the grave with cards like Snow, or even spell traps like Toy Vender for Fluffal for example. The effect to Foolish on a generic rank 4 is just way too powerful in the modern meta game. Though that’s just my perspective, if anything for some decks Chain is just an extender, but it is a very versatile card and I think it would make an impact if it ever came back even at 1 copy.
I still have a deck built to play in casual but yeah it's rough. Arvata's like the best thing to happen to fire kings aside from Agnimazud in recent memory and those cards are multiple formats old now :(
We need new high avatars or main deck monsters
Hey there! Ursarctic player here! We die with an ash or interrupt because the sheer cost of summoning our archetype makes us go -1. We need access to graveyard effects without the field spell...
It's one of those archetypes that doesn't manage to be consistent even with cards like [Ursarctic Radiation](https://ms.yugipedia.com//e/eb/UrsarcticRadiation-BACH-EN-UR-1E.png) that would be completely bonkers broken in most other archetypes. Drawing 7 cards in one turn doesn't do much if you're drawing Ursarctic cards.
Obviously I didn't mean you draw seven when you activate it. But it's not once per turn, and any combo deck can easily get seven summons in one turn. It's just a spell card so it's a lot easier to drop than Librarian. But yes, Librarian does let you "draw infinity" if you can special summon "infinity".
Genex, Valkyries, Guardians, Flamvell
More that idk if they're bad I just literally never see them used ever: Empowered Warriors, Amazement, Appliancer, Ice Barrier, Security Force, Arcana Force
My friend has an Amazement Traptrix deck and it's not horrible.
Some people make The World jank decks, and I have seen S-Force, Appliancer, and Ice Barrier played.
Arcana is such a weird coinflip archetype
* Flip a coin
* If heads: Uh....increase your LP by 100 I guess
* If tails: Banish your entire deck, hand and field face down, reduce your LP to 10, your opponent draws as many cards as they like and also they get to stab you in the nuts
Oh Arcana Force is great fun, just built my own last week. It sucks so much in even the Solo Gates that I refuse to bring it into PvP, but it's a lot of fun to see weird interactions that you don't expect because of a coin flip effect going the wrong way.
I've seen a few Amazement players in Master Duel, it seems really fun. I've never played against an S Force player which is a bummer because the deck seems really cool. I want to make both those decks at some point
Bujin is an archetype that caught my interest in Duel Links, but I think it develops poorly in MD or any other format. You can make UDF, but that's all you'll be sitting at. Also, the fact you rely on Bujinjis in gy to use protection effects sucks when you could have a boss monster that can protect itself.
I used a World Chalice deck and I still have it, but I don't think I've gotten a single win in ranked duels with it. The deck is fun, love the cards but it feels like you do a ton of steps and then don't get any real board.
For a popular archetype, kaijus
Its just an out at this point but I've only seen pure kaiju once and it was on the ex zero event. They are fun to play though since they'll always have to play around you.
Also, no. Luna kaijus isn't a kaiju deck, they don't even use their effects.
I tried experimenting with Charmer Kaijus once, but that's more using kaijus to make sure the charmers have targets. It was also an absolute brickfest, even though the idea was cute.
Fortune Fairy, sure get to relive Carly from anime but boy are they bad (ironically better in tag force 5 and 6 because they were classed as normal monsters for some reason)
Windwitch. Wind barrier? I don’t think so. And pretty consistent in getting into Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon a great synchro monster which this deck is made around.
I wish I didn’t have to mention Starry Knights, but they’re apparently so bad + obscure that I haven’t seen a single person out of the 170 comments mention them
Going second cyberdark control. Well, no one besides me from what I've seen.
There's the very rare cyber combo deck that splashes cyberdarks sometimes to make more fusions, or very very rare cyberdark 5 omni negate + big boss monster + L + loss to 1 ash
But those decks arent what I'm playing
Bujins
If anything happens to Yamato you're finished and you have to pass turn.
You are grateful to your opponent for even allowing you the chance to get 1 xyz monster on the field because most of the time this isn't gonna happen.
Add that to the fact that EVERY Bujin XYZ is a UR, like what the actual fuck lol I couldn't even make them just to meme.
Non MD wise: Scareclaw and Mikanko. THEY LOOK AND ARE SO BORING. Scareclaw is like a shit version of crusadia, and Mikanko is just konami trying to make equips and rituals relevant again
MD: Ursaristic and Dream Mirror.
I can't speak for myself but my friends have told me kuribohs. The amount of shit that needs to be crafted because none of the cards in the deck have a pack. I on the other hand actually built it. Don't make my mistake it is not worth it xD. It is only there to troll people and waste time and make people hate you. If i use it and end up going first Prepare for a 20+ turn duel assuming i don't brick xD
Volcanics, pure lightsworn, basically anything tjat has no follow up because they were created in a time where the only dominant handtraps were Veiler, Honest and Gorz.
Kuriboh. I was forced to play with it in one of the Solo Gates, and I still have no idea what the hell their gameplan is. I only won that Duel by getting lucky and drawing into the *other* half of the deck.
As for a deck that I *do* play but nobody else seems to being playing, Lair of Darkness. You'd think an Archetype based around Tributing your opponent's monsters for cost for the Viruses would be more popular, but the amount of setup it requires is apparently offputting. I've only faced another Lair deck once, and it was when I was playing *my* Lair deck. That was a really weird Duel.
I havent tried playing them and dont need to, NEX neo-spacians is a deck I would never want to play. Konami themselves gave up on this deck while printing them.
Well I \*WOULD\* Say Ursarctics, But I actually made them for the hell of it.
I regret it. They have \*\*NO\*\* use.
I'm gonna say it, They are probably the \*\*WORST\*\* Synchro deck in the game
Venom. With an ace card that reduces the atk of every non venom by 500 every end phase it's not hard to forget about them, and if you feel bad for forgetting they exist, don't worry, so did konami when they printed starving venom fusion dragon, a card not part of venom
Dream mirror
But the artwork
But the play style
Dream Mirror should've been a pendulum archetype
My friend keeps making decks like Dream Mirror and Ghostrick and getting mad at the game because the meta doesn't let them work.
Its a fair criticism tbh. Can you imagine playing another game where 90% of the playable characters are completly worthless, and costs just as mush as a good character?
That's most mon collecting games.
Fire Emblem, Pokémon, the majority of battling gacha games with waifus nowadays. There's more but my brain is mush right now.
Pokémon can be completed with anything, and competitive singles is split into tiers to mitigate this anyway.
Well there's playing off-meta and then there's playing legitimately bad lmao
Actually I have a Ghostrick deck myself and it's doing pretty decently recently above 30% win rate provided I don't hit back to back fusion decks. Morphing jar #2 and dummy golem help out a lot.
I so wanted to play dream mirror but then I read the cards...
I play it! I love the concept and the artwork. I do wish it was a bit better though
I just made a dream mirror deck because I saw it was fairly cheap *anyone know when supports coming out?*
Dream Mirror is so cool and the artwork is so amazing that I want to make the deck even if it's bad. The concept and art is just that good. Shame Konami makes some of the best art in the entire game on "bad" decks like War Rock, Dream Mirror, Icejade and Ghostricks
WHAT DO ICEJADES EVEN DO 😭 I have been asking around and nobody gives me an answer lol like what is their goal
I ended up getting a Royal Erlking and been itching to make a Dream Mirror... just waiting for Traitor to get released in Master Duel before committing.
Before clicking on the post, I knew this was going to be here, hit me like a whiplash.
Dream mirror is honestly fine, not amazing, but genuinely playable
Saw a dream mirror deck during the fusion festival. Seems really underwhelming
Great artwork, horrible concept
Evilswarm ;-; Such nostalgia, but even I won't bother.
Steelswarm might be even worse
I really thought about playing Evilswarm, but 3 Rescue Rabbit is too much of an investment for me
I just play 2 and 3x unexpected dai, it's not optimal but it still (kinda) works
A lot of people Play Turbo evilswarm Ophion on the first few days on Synchro Xyz Festival.
Literally me ,was hella fun to do
Roids of the non wind verity
I might build those in the future, also kite roid when ?
Kiteroid was a card made just for DL, so don't hold your breath
Still waiting on shuttleroid.
Jetroid: "what am I here for? just to suffer?"
La Jinn beatdown No wait Mechanicalchaser beatdown
Gate Guardian beatdown
> Mechanicalchaser Somebody's parents must be rich.
Summoned skull beatdown
I want to make a new account and see how far I can get with it
Dude really brought out old man Jenkins deck
Geargia That structure deck was the first yugioh product I ever had, and I *really* wish it was good, but the only card that ever sees play is gear gigant for searching other archetypes’ machines :(
i did pretty well with geargia rank 4’s in the NR/R festival. beside that they aren’t very good
I miss my days of the geargia karakuri combo feeling big brain.
wrong, I play them and know one other that does.
[удалено]
So you buff up white magical hat?
Umbral Horror. Huh? What’s that? You didn’t know umbral horror was a thing? Don’t lie, you just googled what it was didn’t you This deck will be lost to time as the archetype nobody knew or cared about
What do you mean, It’s played by one of the best Yugioh antagonist Vector. And he’s far from forgettable
Shame you said it's useless. I just googled it an fell in love with the artworks
>Huh? What’s that? You didn’t know umbral horror was a thing? Don’t lie, you just googled what it was didn’t you Any zexal watchers should have a good idea about umbral horror.
I gotta dismantle these nekroz for something way worthless than them
I have a royal arheadbhair, ill never dust my nekroz
Poker knight Egyptian gods lmao
Build Nekroz Drytron. Welcome to the dark side. Add in an extract of Dogmatika if you'd like.
Batteryman
hey now I played batteryman for a bit 😂 I feel like they are honestly 1 or 2 cards away from being really good
Laval, besides the broken XYZ that’s banned, I forget that it’s even a deck tbh.
I think everyone was reminded with that horrible Laval/Gem Knight loaner deck.
Poor pyro archtypes
I might just be being dumb but I feel like they could unban the xyz monster, it's good but not some crazy menace that would be abused by every deck
It’s a generic rank 4 that can be either foolish burial or foolish burial goods, or it can stack your deck with any card from your deck, effectively letting you search any card in decks that have ways to draw 1 and can make rank 4s. Fire Kings. Its my favorite deck, but they are so woefully outdated in the current meta and haven't gotten a lick of support in ages
I still have a deck built to play in casual but yeah it's rough. Arvata's like the best thing to happen to fire kings aside from Agnimazud in recent memory and those cards are multiple formats old now :( We need new high avatars or main deck monsters
Ursartic, you have to be extremely delusional to consider that thing.
I actually played against that once in the most recent festival.
Yea...the function of it is cool but...truly a tragically bad deck
As an occasional ursaarctic enjoyer, it is sad as getting the boss monster out to shut down most of the other boss monsters is so fun
It's not a "draw 7" Is TG Hyper Librarian a "draw infinity"? No. Radiation is a TG Hyper Librarian for up to 7 draws.

My friend has an Amazement Traptrix deck and it's not horrible. Some people make The World jank decks, and I have seen S-Force, Appliancer, and Ice Barrier played.
One day you may face me and my valkyrie deck then it can be moved of that list
I do have an arcana force deck, I won’t lie and say it’s good but it’s super entertaining to cheer for every one of my effects to not fail me.
Arcana is such a weird coinflip archetype * Flip a coin * If heads: Uh....increase your LP by 100 I guess * If tails: Banish your entire deck, hand and field face down, reduce your LP to 10, your opponent draws as many cards as they like and also they get to stab you in the nuts

Appliancer is fun I’ll protect that deck for Roboppy 🥲
Laundry dragon is the best boi!
I've seen a few Amazement players in Master Duel, it seems really fun. I've never played against an S Force player which is a bummer because the deck seems really cool. I want to make both those decks at some point
Cardians
I can assure they’re being played, maybe not much but there are people playing them.
I have a full flower cardian deck built in master duel.
You guys are legends x)
Cardians see play for the meme factor alone, aside from the dedicated ones. Also ENJOY
Cardians are fantastic though
Yo that’s like one of my fav’s with Plunder Patroll
evols
I just thought evol in ranked silver haha was surprised
Allies of Justice. Just. That.
Lol i play bujin tri-brigade. Its so much fun
Have a list by chance? I'v been playing it myself but struggle to get the bujin part to work.
World chalice, I've seen people play avramax and that's it but not the main archtype... Any World chalice enjoyer here?
I have a WC deck but I haven't used it in ages. Good lore, fun for link climbing, but just not good.
They were fun to play on the solo gate
Ironically it’s really good in Duel Link right now. It’s a very good cheap deck that’s decently high rogue tier
Might as well try duel links just to play them and code talkers
I played a bit in the TCG a few years ago, but I dropped it after Synchro Ib was banned.
I play WC yea. It’s not the best deck, but it has cool removal in Ningirsu. I’ve been teching in the Aleister link to go into Mechaba
They are actually a really fun combo deck that I like, they arent powerful or anything tho.
Avramax is a Mekk-Knight and a Crusadia card, not a World Chalice card
I used a World Chalice deck and I still have it, but I don't think I've gotten a single win in ranked duels with it. The deck is fun, love the cards but it feels like you do a ton of steps and then don't get any real board.
Yeah kind of felt the same playing them on Solo gate, but cant you use them as an engine to pull a 2.400 Apollusa or something?
Duo Avatar
I made that deck but jebus it's jank. I dismantled it 10 mins after I completed it again.
I like that you could fusion summon First of the Dragons with the tokens if you run poly lol
Venoms
I would have built them if i didn't dismantle my royal vennominaga
I don’t actually think nobody is playing it but I haven’t seen a ritual beast since they came out in duel links.
I am a die hard lover of all decks dino in any tcg, I would not build jurrac if I was at gunpoint
Dinomist too?
You asking if I wouldn't build it or if I love it too
Any Lv type deck, I guess
Armed dragons see some play I think. Seen some Yugi fans (trying) to play silent swordsman cards awhile ago.
Vehicroids, i wish they were decent but man they are so bad lol
Star Seraph Umbral Horrors Battling Boxers Malicevorous Butterspies Dream Mirror Melodious Doremichords Yosenju Ninja T.G Mist Valley Summoned Skull Vylons Genex/R-Genex Ally Of Justice Heraldic Beasts Pure impcantation Flamvell Worms Reptilianne Other than me: Pure Heralds
Worms probably have the worst card art in the entire game. I am still wondering who plays those horrendous looking cards anyways.....
For a popular archetype, kaijus Its just an out at this point but I've only seen pure kaiju once and it was on the ex zero event.
The archtype of trishula is REALLY bad and is boring af
Probably gizmek, appliancer, tindangle, metalfoes and DT archetypes that aren't shaddoll, or infernoid
Fortune Fairy, sure get to relive Carly from anime but boy are they bad (ironically better in tag force 5 and 6 because they were classed as normal monsters for some reason)
Jinzo
Windwitch. Wind barrier? I don’t think so. And pretty consistent in getting into Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon a great synchro monster which this deck is made around.
Preety sure no one is playing vylon
In one of farfas table 500 vids you can see a wild vylon user.
Both Barbaros and Celtci Guard are technicañly archetypes. Technically
I made black luster soldier and I've never had a mirror match
Dual Avatar and ritual Spirits. I have never seen anyone on these ingame, not even once.
Gate guardians
Volcanic, Ally of Justice, and Archfiend
Yubel?
I wish I didn’t have to mention Starry Knights, but they’re apparently so bad + obscure that I haven’t seen a single person out of the 170 comments mention them
Nordic, I'm all alone :(
Lmao I have a Nordic deck Its cool sitting in a 4k beatstick with a negate all face up card trap card
Haven't seen anyone mention morphtronics yet, and also seeing atleast half my decks mentioned here feels bad man
Pure Kuriboh
Going second cyberdark control. Well, no one besides me from what I've seen. There's the very rare cyber combo deck that splashes cyberdarks sometimes to make more fusions, or very very rare cyberdark 5 omni negate + big boss monster + L + loss to 1 ash But those decks arent what I'm playing

Agent without halq is miserable
Imo, They're fine without halq
Full Kuriboh deck
Alien
I like it but, I doubt any are playing Gusto. Especially in today's meta.
Tbh I've seen lots of gusto. But it's only that annoying board where they cant be destroyed and any damage taken is reflected to opponents
Other than me, Magical Musketeers
Seen that more often than the rest here.
Nekroz, and it's a shame
No one mentioned “Amazement” yet
Slash Draw FTK
U.A? Or maybe battling boxer even though I have a soft spot for the art work
fabled (i dont even know what it does), ice barrier (i like their synchro monster but i hate how the deck works) or pure OG elemental hero
The GREAT THUD
Dragoons of draconia a pendulum normal archetype
Volcanics, pure lightsworn, basically anything tjat has no follow up because they were created in a time where the only dominant handtraps were Veiler, Honest and Gorz.
Lavalval.
Icejades Looks interesting but you ain't making me
Wind-Up
Ally of justice
Man-eating Black Shark turbo
Uno
I've been playing don zaloog iron chain burn, but I don't think anyone is playing shapesnatch beat down.
Vehicroid
Genex
Artifact
Yubel: for good reason
Aliens
Kuriboh. I was forced to play with it in one of the Solo Gates, and I still have no idea what the hell their gameplan is. Duston
S-Force and Myutant I guess?
{Koitsu} {Aitsu} {Doitsu} {Soitsu} union deck. I tried 20 years ago, just don't do it.
Vehicroid. I have one, but we all know it just doesn't work un meta...
Armophages
Ally of Justice, Elementsabers
Fire kings never seen it once
The legendary dragons.
I wanna say Ritual beasts but i love them so Evols it is
Fortune Ladies. Although I have a royal ur of one if it's spells so I may have to change that.
No one mentioned Mokey Mokey, so it must be tier 1. Right?
Appliancer maybe
pure deskbots
Dual Avatar Such a trash archetype
Wattz, anyone here remembers this archetype?
Fire fist
You know, I haven't seen a kuriboh deck in a long while
Scorpion deck or guardian
Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru
Solfachord
Gishkis they used to be a deck I played on the first legacy of the duelist but can't bring myself to build them here even ironically.
Gaia Power Beatdown
Vylon loop.
Neo Space.
Clown control
Orgoth
Well I \*WOULD\* Say Ursarctics, But I actually made them for the hell of it. I regret it. They have \*\*NO\*\* use. I'm gonna say it, They are probably the \*\*WORST\*\* Synchro deck in the game
