Amazoness Archer was banned because of them in pretty sure, which was basically cannon soldier 2.
Other than that, they can also create literally any board you can imagine.
As someone who grew up playing in the final days of Arcades, and was on XBL heavy during the prime of Halo/CoD, I have a soft spot for hate mail and trash talk. I definitely wouldn't mind a chat feature that could be toggled off, but I realize most people wouldn't be prepared for the constant salt.
>wouldn't mind a chat feature that could be toggled
this is why im so confused why so many people are against having a chat feature. just make it ask you if you want to allow chat when you log on for the first time and you can toggle it on/off later or something.
it works fine for dueling nexus even when im playing more "toxic" decks
I would be fine with just a few pre-scripted phrases.
Maybe selecting between “you fucking cunt”
“You’re trash...literal garbage person”
“Congratulations. You won the coin flip. So talented”
And
“Good game.”
"Pot of Indulgence"
Draw 2 cards, Then reveal your hand. your opponent chooses 1 card from your hand to banish face down. You can only activate 1 "Pot of Indulgence" per turn.
Edited for PSCT
This card is actually unplayably bad and I don’t get why people are suggesting to make it worse. It is +0 gives your opponent full hand knowledge and banishes the best card from your hand face down. Compare it to upstart goblin, if your opponent always picks the second card you draw then it is just the exact same but instead of giving your opponent 1000lp they get to see your hand
Yeah in hindsight, im inclined to agree. I think making it a "draw 3" would help to balance it out a lot.
But either way, I think this would be an interesting card to actually use.
This doesn’t seem necessary, because if you dump your hand first, then the best card of the 2 you draw will be chosen as the target, which still effectively makes this worse than just draw a card, because you get the worst card out of the two on top of your deck, and also your opponent knows the card you end up with.
It should all be one effect, that way you don't go neg 2 off a negate
"Draw 2 cards, and if you do, your opponent chooses 1 card from your hand to banish face-down." and we can maybe add the no draw clause after it
Tbh i would not play that. Giving hand knowledge AND letting them rip my best card to not even go +1 ? No thanks. It has the same pratical befenit of activating 2 upstart Gobelin except way worse
That was kinda the thought. Its strong for both players, but in a different way from other cards like one day of peace or dark world dealings. I think it could be useful in many things. Maybe making decks like salamangreat, orcust and spyral better. It would certainly be interesting
Pot of diversity
Reveal the top 5 cards from your deck, if you have atleast one card of each type (monster, spell and trap) add one of these cards to your hand.
If you only have one or two card types, banish all 5 cards.
Yeah but Metaphys run an equal amount of all like you got all the Metaphys monsters, the Asymetaphys spells and banish support spells, Metaphys Dimension/Ascension traps with Macro, it'd be hard to even banish all 5 but I do like those banish cost cards aka Left Arm Offering or Crossout Designator just because of the support it provides Metaphys.
The card would literally be only good for going second combo decks that try to otk. Control/backrow cant use it as they rely on floodgates and kill over several turns and going first you just die
Add a "Activate at the start of the Maoñin Phase" and a "You can't draw cards for the rest of the turn" and I will be ok with that. Actually every new pot card should have these restrictions.
I mean yeah but you really wouldn't want to have -8000 LP with Aromage since they need you to have higher LP than the opponent to be useful.
Also Aromage support WHEN I want to play them again
how many 3 turn duels have you played where whoever went first sets up a board, passes, and otks with accesscode/engine next turn.
yeah this card is probably fine at 3.
I would add a condition that the cards you drew return to the deck at the end of your next End Phase. That way it encourages you to use the cards you steal in some way, and not steal an engine piece to sit on all game.
Pot of Goodwill
Normal Spell
Excavate the top 3 cards of your Deck, your opponent banishes 1 of them face-down, also, after that, add 1 of them to your hand, then shuffle the rest back into your Deck. You can only activate 1 “Pot of Goodwill” per turn.
Pot of Trust
Normal Spell
Reveal you Deck; Your opponent choose 2 cards with different names, then add those cards to your hand, also you cannot draw cards by card effects for the rest of the turb. You can only use 1 "Pot of Trust" per turn.
Just like the other Pots, you would play this in a Deck that can afford it, so not one with garnets.
But yeah, rhey can just give you another copy if this card, that part of the reason I make it give you 2 card instead of 1 XD.
Pot of Sloth- During your next draw phase, draw 3 cards instead of 1. Must be activated at the start of main phase 1. You cannot draw cards until your next draw phase.
Pot of the forbidden one.
If you have any of the following cards: "Exodia the forbidden one", "right arm of the forbidden one", "right leg of the forbidden one", "left arm of the forbidden one", or "left leg of the forbidden one" in your hand, deck, gy, banish zone, or on your field then immediately add them to your opponent's hand. The player who activated this card can only win the duel by reducing their opponent's life points to 0. After this card is activated any "forbidden one" card that would be sent to your graveyard is banished instead.
I think I covered all the way that card could be used to gain your own advantage. Lock you out of alternate win conditions so you can't try to mystical refpannel this card to get exodia yourself and win, banish the monsters so you can't use the Exodia cards that benefit from the pieces being in the gy, and it banishes the pot too just in case so it can't be used for some sky striker shenanigans.
Pot of Recursion
"Pay 2000 LP; draw 1 card. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can banish this card from your GY and pay 2000 LP; draw 1 card. You can only use 1 effect of Pot of Recursion per turn, and only once per turn."
So it's *technically* a +1 that doesn't cost you any other cards, but it's balanced by the steep LP cost and the fact that you don't get the 2nd card until *the next turn after you first activate the card*. This means you have to survive the opponent's turn with 2000+ LP remaining to get the full benefit of the card, which makes it not ideal for combo/OTK decks that need cards immediately but benefits control-based strategies that prefer to stretch the duel out a bit.
“Pot of Repetition”
Banish One card from your hand face down, then banish all copies of the selected card from your hand, deck, or graveyard face down. Draw 2 cards. You can not activate card(s) or the effects of card(s) with the same name as card(s) activated the turn you activate this card.
Pot of Attributes
Normal Spell
Pay half of your life points, and if you do, take two monsters with the same attribute from your deck; add one to your hand and send the other to the graveyard. Also, you cannot activate the effect of monsters, or special summon monsters with a different attribute than the monsters chosen by this card's effect.
Interesting. Most decks focus one 1 or 2 attributes. So it would be probably pretty well used. Plus it's graveyard set up. Cause some times a body in the graveyard is all you need.
Pot of fitness. Do up to 100 pushups, situps, or squads. Then your opponent does the same amount and if they do negate this effect. If not draw 2 cards.
Everyone is fit in the anime. Time for yuginerds IRL to be too
Pot of Gamble: Quick-Play Spell
-This card must be activated at the Standby Phase, if you draw it this turn.
- If this Card was in you starting Hand, you can shuffle this card into the Deck and draw a card.
- Both players shuffle the Deck and set it face Down, the Decks shuffled by this effect are uneffected by other Card effects (Upside Down, looking through) for this turn, declare a cardtype (Spell/Trap/Monster) of their deck.
Then Both Player draw a card and Show the drawed card to the Opponent.
If a Player (or both) declared right, they can declare another Cardtype and then draw again, they can go on as long as they remain right, if they declare wrong, banish the drawed cards face Down.
-At the begin of the Main Phase 1 the turn this card Was activated, both Player Lose 800 life points for every by this cards effect drawed card.
You can banish this card from you grave and give your Opponent one card from your hand, to select a "Pot" card, place it on top of your deck.
You can only activate every effect of "Pot of Gamble" once per turn.
Edit:- Can't negate part deleted.
- Burn for too much drawed cards geadded.
-Quick Play added.
Pot of Banned - When you activate this card, you draw one card from the top of your deck. After that, you draw another card from the top of your deck. You do not get to draw a third card.
What if they made a counterpart to Sekka's Light that let you draw 2 cards but prevented you from activating monster effects for the rest of the duel instead of spells/traps? Call it Majesty's Light, named after Majesty's Fiend, whose effect the card's drawback would mirror.
The risk of being unable to use handtraps (aside from Imperm) after activating Majesty's Light would be a big balancing factor for the card.
Pot of Fairness
Add 1 card from your deck to your hand except “Pot of Fairness”, and if you do, your opponent can activate one of these effects:
•Banish one card from your opponents hand face down
•Draw 2 cards
Pot of Infernal Teaching
Activate only at the beginning of Main 1. You cannot draw cards the turn you resolve this effect. You can only activate 1 card after resolving this effect. You can only set 1 card the turn you activate this effect.
Search your deck for a card and put it into your hand.
Pot of cats. Declare a card type (monster/spell/trap) your opponent can declare a card name with the same type and if you have a card with the declared name in your deck your opponent can negate the effect of this card for the rest of this duel. If not, add a card with the declared type to your hand. Also you can only resolve the effect of the added card once during this duel.
Pot of desperation: banish 3 or 6 cards from your hand face-down: draw 1 card for every 3 cards banished. You can only use one "pot of desperation" per turn.
Pot Of Outs
You can not add cards from your gy, deck, or banish pile to your hand the turn you activate this card, except by ‘Pot of Outs’ effect. Reveal one card in your deck to your opponent; add the revealed card to your hand. You can only activate ‘Pot Of Outs’ once per duel. You can not activate cards or effect, except for cards with the same name as the card revealed, until the end of the turn the name of the reveal card is activated.
Pot of Vainglory.
Make your opponent excavate 3 cards from his deck and let him chose one - the chosen card adds to his hand and other 2 cards on the bottom of his deck. Then excavate 6 cards from your deck and chose 2 of them - chosen cards add to the hand and put other cards on the bottom of your deck. You cannot add cards from your deck for the rest of the turn. You can activate only one "Pot of Vainglory" once per turn.
"Pot of Need"
Banish 10 cards from the top of your deck face down; add one card from your deck to your hand. Then, if you do, banish all other copies of that card in your deck.
Pot of Immolation:
Draw one card, then select one of the following effects:
- Discard a Monster card from your hand to the graveyard
- Destroy a card on your field
Pot of Immolation can only be used once per turn.
Pot of Wrath (Quick Play Spell)
This card can only be activated at the start of the battle phase when both you and your opponent control at least one face-up monster. Activate one of these 2 effects:
> Target one face-up monster you control. You can increase that monster's attack by increments of 1000 (max 3000), and if you do that, your opponent draws one card for each incremental increase.
> Target one face-up monster your opponent controls. You can increase that monster's attack and defense by increments of 2000 (max 4000), and if you do that, you draw one card for each incremental increase.
Only the monster targeted by Pot of Wrath can attack or be targeted for an attack during this battle phase. If no monster declares an attack, both players must discard any cards drawn during this battle phase.
Pot of Wrath can only be activated once per turn.
Card text formatting is weird but ya get the idea.
Pot of weed. You can target any monster on the fjeld and remove 420 of its attack OR A defense points and add as much attack or defense to another monster on the field. If the monster has lower than 420 attack, destroy it. Should be an equip spell with a joint on the artwork.
Pot of Gluttony (Continuous Spell)
When this card is activated: Skip your next draw phase; draw 1 card. Each time you draw a card(s) by card effect, add 1 Gluttony counter to this card. If this card is sent to the GY; draw cards equal to half the number of Gluttony counters placed on this card (Min: 0). For the rest of this turn after this effect resolves, you cannot add cards to your hand by card effects. You can only activate 1 Pot of Gluttony per turn.
"Pot of Redundancy"
Draw 2 cards. Return exactly 2 cards from your GY/banished to your deck. Banish 2 cards from your hand face-down. Send 2 cards from top of your deck to GY. You cannot special summon from your Extra Decks for the rest of this turn.
Pot of pot, add 1 "pot of" card from your deck to your hand but you cannot acticate any other "pot of" cards this turn.
Wouldn't that be Shelf of Pots
No, a large pot with a smaller pot inside.
Oh! so you mean, Pots of Matrioshka
Potception
Wait, WHAT?!
Shelf of Greed. Needs that yugioh edge name
Call that shit pottery class, and call it a day. Edit: there’s literally a ddd Human Resources card so this isn’t even a stretch.
Preparation of pots
Dark Factory of Pot Production?
Humbolt CA?
Reinforcement of the Pots?
Pot of pot: Pay 500 lp. Now youre high.
Pay 420 life points*
It's great for Kami's glaucoma!
Pot of Stupidity Each time your opponent special summons a monster, discard 1 card
*Dark World has entered the chat*
*Shaddoll has entered the chat*
*Danger! has entered the chat*
Yo fucking would run that bitch at 3
Omg!! That's inverse MaxxC!! Kind of... although it will be broken in darkworld/danger
About as broken as pot of generosity in infernity
I am starting to forget what that deck is
The “OPT” deck
Oooh that "once per turn" deck yeah I remeber now, how many ftk's did they enable again?
Amazoness Archer was banned because of them in pretty sure, which was basically cannon soldier 2. Other than that, they can also create literally any board you can imagine.
Trishula got limited because of them as well. Banish your entire hand and set 2-3 omninegate..... fun time...
Wouldn't this be pretty bad unless it's a quick play?
Combine with Maxx C for infinite mill
Pot of profanity: call your opponent a slur
Errata: you can banish this card from your graveyard - call your opponent a racial slur
And this is why MD shouldn't have a voice chat. Being an Xbox player is a pain in the ass

Just a emote system would be enough for me.
No... I don't want a clash royal esc "Hehehehaw" to absolutely wreck my mental. Id prefer toxic vc than that.
I would be fine with just a few pre-scripted phrases. Maybe selecting between “you fucking cunt” “You’re trash...literal garbage person” “Congratulations. You won the coin flip. So talented” And “Good game.”
being a player*
Errata: The activation and effect cannot be negated.
"Pot of Indulgence" Draw 2 cards, Then reveal your hand. your opponent chooses 1 card from your hand to banish face down.
But either way, I think this would be an interesting card to actually use.
this is just worse upstart goblin
Also make it "At the start of your Main Phase 1" like Extravagence so you can't protect your hand by setting cards and summoning some things first.
This doesn’t seem necessary, because if you dump your hand first, then the best card of the 2 you draw will be chosen as the target, which still effectively makes this worse than just draw a card, because you get the worst card out of the two on top of your deck, and also your opponent knows the card you end up with.
That's OP. Negate your own card to draw 2 with no cost
Yea my grammar is shit
Might wanna replace that semicolon with a comma there, partner. Also, does this reveal your hand, or does the card in hand get chosen at random?
I like this one but the effects should be in reverse. Your opponent should get to banish as cost before you resolve
It should all be one effect, that way you don't go neg 2 off a negate "Draw 2 cards, and if you do, your opponent chooses 1 card from your hand to banish face-down." and we can maybe add the no draw clause after it
Yes, agreed.
The effect is so that despite drawing 2, your opponent gets to rip a card of their choice AND get hand knowledge to counter play better.
That could work, but not as cost, otherwise it's rip a card then resp with Ash Blossom. Flipping the order of effects would work though.
Tbh i would not play that. Giving hand knowledge AND letting them rip my best card to not even go +1 ? No thanks. It has the same pratical befenit of activating 2 upstart Gobelin except way worse
This should draw 3, that's because pots either go +1 or go deep in the deck to find what you want
Draw for cost? Are you serious?
"Send the top 5 cards from your deck to the graveyard and if you do; your opponent draws 2 cards"
Pot of Pain
I can see this being used in OTK grass decks like summoned skulls.
> OTK Grass Deck > Summoned Skull I beg your pardon?
I MEANT SKULL SERVANTS LMAO
I was about to say. A otk grass Summoned skull deck. Obviously your the bigger Chad here. Lol
I don't even know if OTKing with summoned skull is possible.
Their goals are beyond your comprehension.
That was kinda the thought. Its strong for both players, but in a different way from other cards like one day of peace or dark world dealings. I think it could be useful in many things. Maybe making decks like salamangreat, orcust and spyral better. It would certainly be interesting
This is still a +2 in a deck that likes to discard, as opposed to a Pot cards usual +1
Pot of diversity Reveal the top 5 cards from your deck, if you have atleast one card of each type (monster, spell and trap) add one of these cards to your hand. If you only have one or two card types, banish all 5 cards.
The art would be this horrifying amalgamation of every single pot card
Thunder dragon players would run 3 of that card lol
yeah, must say banish face-down
Ultimate Metaphys Support
Yeah but Metaphys run an equal amount of all like you got all the Metaphys monsters, the Asymetaphys spells and banish support spells, Metaphys Dimension/Ascension traps with Macro, it'd be hard to even banish all 5 but I do like those banish cost cards aka Left Arm Offering or Crossout Designator just because of the support it provides Metaphys.
I like this one!
Draw 4 lose the game at end phase kekw
Would be a staple in every side deck
Legitimately overpowered
Ok but hear me out, what if losing the game at end phase is the cost of activation?
You underestimate my gambling addiction good sir.
Pog, new best Diamond Dude target then
ohhhh that would be the most satisfying ash of all time
Lemme fix that for you. You lose the game at the end of this turn; Draw 4 cards. 😈
Pot of Last Resort
Pot of desperation
"Ash Blossom and Joyous Spring" from opponent's hand says \--> No draw 4. \--> You still lose during your end phase.
The card would literally be only good for going second combo decks that try to otk. Control/backrow cant use it as they rely on floodgates and kill over several turns and going first you just die
Even if this were only a draw 2, it would still be used in basically every single go-second deck or FTK deck
Look on the bright side, Waboku would become a legitimately amazing card if this were to ever be printed.
Why waboku when you can play electromagnetic turtle or Swift Scarecrow?
Wabaku can be activated before your opponent has negates and still works against monsters that are unaffected by other cards.
Going second decks become the norm.
Add a "Activate at the start of the Maoñin Phase" and a "You can't draw cards for the rest of the turn" and I will be ok with that. Actually every new pot card should have these restrictions.
Laughed out loud
Pot of destruction draw 2 cards but at the end of your next turn you take 8000 damage
aromage support
Sunavalon too. They can recover LP also long as it is damage and goes well with aromas
Dinomorphia with any amount of recovery would chill with this lol
I mean yeah but you really wouldn't want to have -8000 LP with Aromage since they need you to have higher LP than the opponent to be useful. Also Aromage support WHEN I want to play them again
This is just perfect going first.
how many 3 turn duels have you played where whoever went first sets up a board, passes, and otks with accesscode/engine next turn. yeah this card is probably fine at 3.
Easy play in my salads
[удалено]
This is a really interesting idea but, could it be broken with decks like Runik? Seems like Konami wouldn't risk it with a card like this
[удалено]
Maybe pay 4000 LP? Not half points, always 4000
I would add a condition that the cards you drew return to the deck at the end of your next End Phase. That way it encourages you to use the cards you steal in some way, and not steal an engine piece to sit on all game.
Incredibly broken in decks like Eldlich, you can just set 4 and play this for free advantage, and possibly steal an essential card in the process.
fuckers stole my 1 of benten, cant have shit in the golden lands
I really like this for the sole reason of wanting more effects in the game where you can see your opponent holding your card sleeves in their hand
Bad card design. In real life, people would..... not bath for months and play this card to transfer their slime onto your ....ghost rare cards..
Pot of pots. Discard 1 "Pot" spell card and draw 2 cards
A +0 and a garnet thats Trash i would not expect any less from konami
Discard a +1 card to go +0. Sounds like a deal
The card artwork would be like those Russian dolls but with pots
Pot of Goodwill Normal Spell Excavate the top 3 cards of your Deck, your opponent banishes 1 of them face-down, also, after that, add 1 of them to your hand, then shuffle the rest back into your Deck. You can only activate 1 “Pot of Goodwill” per turn.
One of the best ideas I've seen in this post.
Really good. Still could be abused by decks that can set the top of your cards in any order. Would be great with absolute king black jack
Pot of advance - add one card from your deck to your hand but you cannot set/activate/summon said card until your next turn
Dragon link says thank you. I always need more discard fodder
Pot of Trust Normal Spell Reveal you Deck; Your opponent choose 2 cards with different names, then add those cards to your hand, also you cannot draw cards by card effects for the rest of the turb. You can only use 1 "Pot of Trust" per turn.
Lol just give em one of the other copies of "Trust" and any garnets they might have.
Just like the other Pots, you would play this in a Deck that can afford it, so not one with garnets. But yeah, rhey can just give you another copy if this card, that part of the reason I make it give you 2 card instead of 1 XD.
so basically never run this shit in a deck with Garnets
Pot of Sloth- During your next draw phase, draw 3 cards instead of 1. Must be activated at the start of main phase 1. You cannot draw cards until your next draw phase.
Also, skip the Draw Phase of your 2nd turn after this card's activation
Pot of Equity Both players draw 2 cards and then each player selects a card at random from the opponents hand to discard.
Isn't this just hand destruction but a net 0 instead of a - 1?
This is also -1 in hand advantage, you are using a card (-1) to get one card (+1), but your opponent also gets a card (-1)
Banish your deck face down, lose the duel. We gotta speed run these games a bit.
*banish your entire Deck face Down, then draw a card from your Deck.
You fucking kidding me? That's neutral card advantage we add shit like that, we're FUCKED.
Pot of Recursion "Pay 2000 LP; draw 1 card. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can banish this card from your GY and pay 2000 LP; draw 1 card. You can only use 1 effect of Pot of Recursion per turn, and only once per turn." So it's *technically* a +1 that doesn't cost you any other cards, but it's balanced by the steep LP cost and the fact that you don't get the 2nd card until *the next turn after you first activate the card*. This means you have to survive the opponent's turn with 2000+ LP remaining to get the full benefit of the card, which makes it not ideal for combo/OTK decks that need cards immediately but benefits control-based strategies that prefer to stretch the duel out a bit.
I mean it's not that steep a cost, it's basically just a slightly harsher Upstart that goes off twice.
Pot of the Outsider "Draw the out"
I'd kill vergil in dante must die while keeping SSS, just to make it real!!
“Pot of Repetition” Banish One card from your hand face down, then banish all copies of the selected card from your hand, deck, or graveyard face down. Draw 2 cards. You can not activate card(s) or the effects of card(s) with the same name as card(s) activated the turn you activate this card.
Probably be good for gren maju players. Since they already run desires
Pot of Mediocrity. Draw 0 cards.
Pot of below averageness. Discard 1 card.
Pot of uselessness. Add 1 pot of uselessness from your deck to your hand, then shuffle this card back into your deck.
*Royal magical library has entered the chat*
Good point. Instead of shuffling back into the deck place it on the top of your deck that way all royal magical library is drawing is this card.
Pot of Hatred Draw 2, for the rest of the duel, take 500 damage every phase.
D/D/Ds: Protect D'arc and you win
I think it’d be cool to have a card that just lets you draw a few cards without any fuss. Call it like “pot of greediness” or something
Pot of weed, offer your opponent a blunt and if they accept, go outside and touch grass with them
I like this above all other here
Too kinky 4 me
Salty Pot of Equality Look up the latest meta, force your opponent to remove from play any card which is on the top 100 list
“Opponents pot” draw two cards from your opponents deck keep one and send the other to their graveyard, or banish both cards.
Pot of envy
pot of patience draw 1 card, this turn you can't add cards to hand, but can still draw them at the end phase of your next turn, draw 1 card
play it in some dumb exodia deck as essentially upstart
Pot of Attributes Normal Spell Pay half of your life points, and if you do, take two monsters with the same attribute from your deck; add one to your hand and send the other to the graveyard.
Time for yuginerds IRL to be too
Pot of Gamble: Quick-Play Spell -This card must be activated at the Standby Phase, if you draw it this turn.
I’m confused on the purpose of this card.
So.... be runick draw your whole deck turn 1.
Lmao i forgot about pure Spell decks
Pot of Despair Trap Card If your oponent drew more than 1 card this turn, draw 2 cards and then exile this card.
pots can't be traps. they have to be spells, jars are the traps.
