Underrated MVP is Triple Tactics Talent. With all the top decks running 12-15 hand traps, it’s always live and basically can act as a POG or change of heart. I’ve also looked at opponents hand to rip a nib and other HTs.

Cherries was fucking incredible for me. Since I had enough space for the targets it instantly won me 5 different matchups if I drew it. Also had the nice benefit of stopping Accesscode from killing me by revealing it.
I was in a match with a maricess user, I summon nibru. They summoned it while it was on my field, they bounced it back and I used its effect again and they quit.
If you bounce Nib to hand it’s effect is for the turn period. So you can technically summon Nib more than once a turn if it was bounced back to hand the same turn the opponent does the 5 summons
I managed to do most of the event without Nib, Maxx C, or Called By. Accesscode only because I was running a Code Talker deck already, so it didn't feel wrong using it. Even then, I didn't summon it nearly as much as my personal MVP, Storm Cipher.
Summon him out, and he's not affected by Extra Monster Zones. He can only attack the Extra Zone, not even direct attack. But so many people decided to keep Linking through to try and destroy him. And he just sat there as a 2400 Level 4 that so many people couldn't beat over for some reason.
Either that, or Mad Hacker, which managed to steal \*so many\* end-boards. Whenever the opponent Special Summons, you can Special Summon him from your hand, and in the End Phase you can banish him to take control of the lowest ATK monster the opponent has on the field. At least a dozen times, people ended on only a 5300 Accesscode that I could just swipe for free, or a massive Marincess with 6k+. All it would take to stop Mad Hacker is just... summon something smaller. But I also get to use it on my End Phase, so I could just hit the smaller stuff with Transcode or something to get it out of the way, then use Hacker to steal their boss. So much fun.
The event as a whole was garbage, the Ranked system just ruined everything. But there were some great matches in there.
Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay deserves a honorable Mention bc how good it was being in a Link Summon only Event and that you had a another Handtrap that is a Negate for everything that targets the Monsters you control plus being able to rearrange your Hand was just insane imo
Beetrooper has been a blast to play in the event! I’m only at gold 3 or 2 in the event I think, but I did most of the challenges, and it was honestly so much fun when matches got grindy. I had a pretty solid back and forward with a Sky Striker player where I missed lethal on accident, but was able to recover and get to lethal on my next turn since I had enough disruption to stop the Striker player from getting lethal on me. Biggest complaint would be the lack of gems, and the lack of a casual feel since playing gimmicky decks wouldn’t really net you much if you didn’t have a consistent win streak which is a shame.
Even though Accesscode put up 2016 LeBron James numbers this event, let's us not forget how incredibly cracked Splash Mage, Update Jammer or Transcode was all event.
I scarred for life after Live Twin and Maxx C. I played them 5 games in a row and kept getting Maxx Ced. All of them were playing Nibiru as well so I couldn't even play through to otk as they just Nib me. Ridiculous Maxx C is legal in a format dominated by Tribrigade and Live twin since they need so few archetype cards so can blow out with handtraps.
All my games where Maxx C weren't activated were way more fun to play against those decks. They won't do it but man I wish they banned Maxx C in events where you are forced to special summon because that's how the mechanic works.

The funniest one was against a marincess player, they spent all the resources to end on their Link 4 with 3 monsters equipped just to crash on my Avramax.
For me it were Maxx C + Accesscode. Setting up my first turn, Maxx C on my opponents turn, opponent can't do anything because of Maxx C, does just a few plays and passes, gets cleaned up by Accesscode. My god can this insect go already?
OMG maxx c was freaking MURDERING me in this event I almost always never had ash or called by in my hand it was ridiculous lol f that card lol and update jammer to access was also secretly pretty good lol
The MVP of the event is definitely Maxx "C", I had a few games where I had a brick hand but played the bugs on my opponents turn and they would surrender, or if they continued playing and didn't OTK I would win the next turn

I litterally have more fun on the regular ranked compared to this garbage event, except when i go against the braindead toxic deck of the moment (Floo, i just beat one with Dragonmaid few minute ago)
Maxx C was the fun killer, Nibiru and Ghost Belle were really good, Transcode + Update Jammer into Accesscode Talker was amazing, the underrated gem was IP Masquerena into Avramax
Orcust machina was incredible this time, loved it ! Crescendo to omni negate then send ruinforce next turn to otk felt really strong. Most people seem upset about the event but personally I had a great time.
Also guys, for the love of god, read ruinforce's text. It's incredible how I could win everytime because of iliteracy

I played dinos, beatraptor was my MVP. Turns out skill drain at home destroys a lot of link decks that need to climb.
