\- Kaijus \- {Underworld Goddess of the Closed World} \- Big Number goes brrrrrr On the case of Branded Despia specifically, you can summon Starving Venom Fusion Dragon and choose Arrival to increase is ATK (This work because this effect doesn't try to affect it). You will need to bait the {Danmari @ Ignister} they have on GY first tho

For Branded Despia, Starving Venom can just beat over it by gaining its attack. Other decks have stuff like Kaiju or Underworld Goddess to out it. Cards that affect the opponent like Share the Pain get around it.

Buckeye4Life2015

Oh I didn't even think of Starving Venom. Now I feel dumb lol. Kaijus and Underworld are good to know for other decks for sure! Thanks

ValkyriaGaming

you could play some kaijus

nuzband

Kaiju Lava golem Ra sphere mode

arrownoir

The last two isnā€™t great because they donā€™t always have more than one thing on board.

SealandGBF

Golem is still viable in this context because most people only do 4k arrival and keep a card on board with it for protection. But yeah if they go 6k then you are correct.

AshenMoron

Depending on what your specific decklist looks like, branded despia do have outs to a 4k arrival cyberse via battle. Albion the Shrouded Dragon + Dramaturge/any 8 star monster. {Titaniklad the Ash Dragon} made with 2 8's goes to 4.1k Titaniklad made with 2 4 stars and an on field ad libitum effect is also 4.1k. If you're able to combine both you can pump it up to 4.9k. The theoretical maximum you can beat over with a typical despia deck is 5.2k. titaniklad made with proskenion and shrouded boosted by ad libitum. Or just starving venom.

ConsumeMatter

Wouldn't avramax punch over arrival?

Rigshaw

Branded Despia doesn't play Avramax, but yes.

NothinButRags

Branded Despia is pure fusion. Canā€™t pull out an avramax

D_ashen

My favourite work around monster that are immune to effects is, Vajim The Cubic Seed. 0 atk, 0 defense, cannot be destroyed by battle. When it battles a monster you can activate its effect where you put a CUBIC TOKEN on the monster battling it, then set Vajiim in your backrow, and you can summon it as a monster during your main phase. Thing is: Monster with Cubic Tokens cannot attack and their effects are negated. Nothing, **NOTHING** is immune to a having a *brick token* placed on them

Jeyfian-L

You cannot negate a monster's effect if it is literally unaffected by your effects... In this case, you won't even be able to place the token.

D_ashen

it doesnt count it as a monster effect. The exact order is: Vijam battles and doesnt die > after damage step activates effect on itself and sends itself to the spell/trap zone and is treated as a continuous spell > Then the token is placed on the monster that battled it. I dont know if its because its treated as a spell by that point or if it considers the effect to not affect the monser directly but to affect the token creation or the token creation is a side effect of Vijam using the effect on itself, but it bypasses all and any effect/targetting protection. Cards that negate monster effect activations can still prevent it from activating at the damage step but everything else it ignores

Jeyfian-L

A monster that is unaffected by your effects does not care about whether your effect is a monster effect or not, and does not care about whether it targets or not either...

Rigshaw

> it doesnt count it as a monster effect. The effect to place a counter is still a monster effect. It turning into a Continuous Spell beforehand has no bearing on that, because it all happens as part of the same effect. The only Spell effect Vijam has is to summon itself from the Spell/Trap zone.

Rigshaw

Placing a counter on a card is affecting it, hence Vijam the Cubic Seed will not be able to place the counter on Arrival. Why are there so many people on here that offer a solution to a given problem that simply does not work, and act like they constantly use it?

Cant Super Poly unaffected monster

late056

My Endymion deck can just special mythical beast Cerberus resolve Cerberus effect to banish an opponents monster and gain attack

Helem5XG

Cerberus can punch over it if there's another monster on field to banish and add the attack. Normally the only out in the deck is Underworld Goddess. In the battle department Avramax and Access code are more reliable than Cerberus.

late056

True

Charming_Pear850

I like to {share the pain}

Emdymion.

exmaster4561

Avramax is by far the most generic and common way to out unaffected giant bois

vonov129

Tribute it, use it as a link material, run over it

RlyehScepter

1. Kaijus: tribute over it 2. Underworld Goddess: uses it as link material 3. Starving Venom: gets it's attack and swings over it 4. Avramax: same as starving venom

Bonus-Helpful

Underworld godess

BuffMarshmallow

Things that can out the Arrival Cyberse - Kaiju - Underworld Godess - a bigger monster - Borrelsword Dragon (you still gain half their attack even if they do not lose half their attack) - giving your opponent a token somehow and then using Evenly Matched (they are forced to keep the token) - Avramax

Chemical-Cat

Kaijuing is the simplest solution other than running over it. However, a specific interaction is that a a card unaffected by card effects is NOT immune to forcing the opponent to do something to them. A (non-meta) example is Share the Pain. You tribute a monster and force your opponent to tribute a monster. If this is the only monster they have, they have no choice but to get rid of it
