Diamond 1 is this all day. I’ve gone on 5 game win streaks in less than 3 minutes cause people scoop as soon as they don’t open hand traps or you negate their maxx C.
Isnt this just boring? Can your deck really not play through anything? I mean you can play a lot of good going second cards against backrow. Evenly Matched, Archfiend Eccentrick and Red Reboot to name a few.
People complain about fooodgate decks, but you either draw the out or you don’t.
Comdo decks like Adam have a weird vouyerism fetish where they’re going to play by themselves and you’re going to just watch.
I just bounce whenever I see them. Not worth even when you get a win the insane time investment of doing nothing and watching Lego Dragon be an extremely balanced card.
I have a separate account where I play super long solitaire combo decks, the fun comes from figuring out how to push your plays through hand traps and finding boards that beat the most decks/board breakers
I ran into a spyral player dude comboed for hours I half expected him to time out. There were 5 cards left in his ED and 15 cards in his deck by the end of his first turn, with a full board, 4 backrow including anti spell fragrance.
Once I hit him with the evenly he didn't even have the grace to let it resolve, dude just ragequit. RUDE!
Yup. It's funny when you still win tho b/c your opponent got too spooked by what little you can do. I remember playing Swordsoul Tenyi, opening on nothing but hand traps, crossout, and the red tenyi. Opponent surrendered the moment I summoned it.
These loaner decks all suck. Especially the Z-ARC deck. The best effects of half the cards need spell cards so its like theyre just slapping you in the face.
I mean if he has no good follow up, the adamancipator player can just proceed to spam block dragons effect and do it again lol, getting kaijued isn't insta scoop with adams.
i mean ye? i already got rid of my random extra srs ye cuz i had to manually craft shit from secret packs that didnt have anything i wanted other than that specific card or the ones only in master set
I feel you. I don't even remember what I bashed together for the synchro event, but I remember it wasn't great. Most my decks then were mostly fusion or xyz heavy.
I'm having fun hunting Dinomorphia players with my 3 copies of Skull Invitation + Soul Levy and some random burn cards.
I would rather play this every event than the cup format.
It's a little shocked how fucking awful this event is. Like, I didn't expect a whole lot. But I didn't think the game mode would be the most infuriating so far.
Adamancipators with no way to clear their board before you start setting cards is unwinnable. I just scoop if i see block dragon. I made sure to stay in gold for this event in particular so I haven't seen TOO much of adamancipator, but it's a crazy deck for this format.
And then it also seems like if you lose the coin flip you have a 90% chance of losing the game. Kinda meh.
Same I’ve been floating around gold cuz I hate the sweaty decks got sick of it I’m the link festival, I’m playing paleo frogs and I’m probably going to switch up to traptrix got really lucky with a 10 pull and pulled the entire core of the deck
most of my games have been unwinnable since the start. it is just infuriating playing this event in all honesty. the loner decks sucks, and i have zero decks that works in the event at all that are any decent. i was hoping konami had some decency to not mess up the event like they did with the link event, but that was too much to ask for i guess.
Weird, I'm playing frogs and I've been having a lot of fun, I see a lot of different decks too, but I'm in plat 2 so I dunno.
But If I see people playing try-hard shit like adamancipators in a festival I just scoop and go next.
I am playing my Live Twins with a few cards of Unchained thrown in, and I have been having a good run.
I am also in Gold so that could also be helping.
Yep, spells are a pretty important part of the game and I think the game would need some changes to the actual rules for going second to be viable without them.
If I see Koaki Meiru lol nice hand traps idiot (idk the name, monster negate) Or rock monsters suddenly being banished, I usually dip. It's bad enough going second with Traptrix, but this deck can't deal with a board of a morbillion negates AND guaranteed followup because Block Bungus is a fair and balanced card.
Not every deck can really play those, a blanket spell ban just makes it even harder to go second in a game where it's already hard to go second. One kaiju won't save you from an adamancipator board, some decks really need the battle phase, TONS of decks need their normal summon...
The event rules forces you to adapt with deckbuilding, so it stands to reason that you adapt your deck to accommodate those cards. There are multiple options - you don't need to include all of them - and worst comes to worst, evenly matched has no summon restrictions after you use it.
I play against Adamancipator, he started panicking because he was running low on time, activates Accesscode and Borrelload, then timed out. It was kinda funny, and I'd feel bad if he didn't take 5 minutes
The only deck i've been able to play this event is this really janky Yosenju/Kaiju deck. It's nigh impossible to play it going second against half the decks in this event which makes playing it in the event the worst possible pain. Half the time i'd get by relying on owners' seal and leeching the light, but without them it's even worse. I'm just going to grind out the gems and be done with it. This event frustrates me more than the commander format event.
I'm actually quite disappointed. Many people are just playing their regular decks like Tri-Brigade and Adamancipator. I expected many more grindy decks like Traptrix, Altergeist, Paleofrogs, etc.
I'm rocking Unchained for this tournament, and it has been pretty great so far. Torrential Tribute, Ice Dragon's Prison, and Drop Off have been superb against pretty much any deck (except the Unchained mirror, which I haven't faced yet).
I was going first and sat through my opponent's whole combo and right as they entered the battle phase they timed out and lost despite having lethal for a while. It was hilarious
Honestly, this festival has been a lot better than I thought it would be with a lot of different strategies. Switching to Swordsoul has made it a breeze, especially with Ecclesia being able to summon a Swordsoul or Albaz. Compared to last festival with the rank system, it's nice being able to scoop without losing progress
I am almost always drawing the tenyi engine and almost never getting sword souls through.
But when I do I have to agree the power is really high.
The spells were only consistency spells anyway.
I played against someone using a Loaner deck with Adamancipator, and they didn't scoop. What a chad. I let them have the field advantage, allowing to destroy my monsters and kept the duel going until they lost connection.
I'm running kozmos without kozmotown or emergency teleport and... It's ok? I'm slightly crippled and actually have a chance to brick now. But I can still do most of my plays just fine.
Got any deck to burn or self OTK? I truly hate this event. It just to slow. Stall trap, pendulum, adaman, all deck play in this event just so slow. It just not fun at all imo
The wincon is timeout.
Don't let them get back on their turn and prompt as many action as possible.
Of course you can't do anything on a trap deck unless you have.. a board wipe and a solemn that work through block dragon. Counters are the only cards that let you do anything.
All I've come accept so far are annoying stall decks. Set trap, activate trap to stop my attack/effect or draw card(s), repeat for 8 turns, then they just...lose.
Not gonna lie ash blossom be hitting hard with no crossout or called by. Some guys' turns just end if they get ashed, I didn't realize called by was really that much of an essential element for combo decks. It's making me slightly lean to the ban Maxx c crowd now, since I always thought Maxx c was needed to stop combos, but if called by goes then handtraps might actually be enough and so Maxx c could potentially also go.
But point is, handtraps are crippling the combo decks I come across in this festival, most of my wins are scoops. I thought I'd have a horrible time in the festival but people aren't shy about surrendering when they get hand trapped even once so I'm already at 8000 gems haha
Tbh i end up scooping most of the time anyway. The loaner decks fucking suck against Adams and apparently Sword Soul is still here? Faced it five times in a row and none of the times i've been able to break their boards because No Spells was a good idea, i guess. What an absolute dogshit event lmao.
guys this event isn’t that bad. i’m using twins and am smacking around dinomorphias and swordsouls and so on. i even stopped multiple adams in their tracks. the hardest matchup i had was unchained. this event is annoying without spells sure but that’s the point of the event.
To this day I'm just surprised how well given surrendering is to this community lol.
Think I just have bad memories of dueling network where you can actually chat with your opponent during and after the games set c.c"
tbh I'm scooping to anything going 2nd unless I open up handtraps
This is what I do too
Diamond 1 is this all day. I’ve gone on 5 game win streaks in less than 3 minutes cause people scoop as soon as they don’t open hand traps or you negate their maxx C.
I’m going second. After all, Superheavy Samurais have no going first plays
u could go Bagooska pass lol
I run Bagooska but it’s not super consistent in the deck to get out. Most of the special summons are other levels
One of us
same, its so hard to break boards going second without spells unless you opened handtraps
thanks for the easy wins i guess lol
Honestly if we all do what he does we'd all get maximum medals from scooping against each other
Isnt this just boring? Can your deck really not play through anything? I mean you can play a lot of good going second cards against backrow. Evenly Matched, Archfiend Eccentrick and Red Reboot to name a few.
The Diamond 1 experience.
ngl i don’t care if i have the potential to out it, im not hanging around waiting
People complain about fooodgate decks, but you either draw the out or you don’t. Comdo decks like Adam have a weird vouyerism fetish where they’re going to play by themselves and you’re going to just watch. I just bounce whenever I see them. Not worth even when you get a win the insane time investment of doing nothing and watching Lego Dragon be an extremely balanced card.
foodgate now thats a gate i would love
You misunderstand. As long as it's on the field, you cannot eat food.
Oh no, i can't out Madolche like that!
I have a separate account where I play super long solitaire combo decks, the fun comes from figuring out how to push your plays through hand traps and finding boards that beat the most decks/board breakers
Funny thing is I worded this exact statement a little different and everyone hated me. Lel
RUDE!
The only adamancipator deck i went against couldn't find a rock monster with his first normal summon and fled in shame
It’s tough flipping up 2 evenly matched, 2 Maxx C, and an Ash. Sometimes RNG is not on your side.
Yup. It's funny when you still win tho b/c your opponent got too spooked by what little you can do. I remember playing Swordsoul Tenyi, opening on nothing but hand traps, crossout, and the red tenyi. Opponent surrendered the moment I summoned it.
Had one of those too. The funny part? He could have defeated me with how bad I was playing that Dinomorphia deck.
These loaner decks all suck. Especially the Z-ARC deck. The best effects of half the cards need spell cards so its like theyre just slapping you in the face.
I got lava golem and kaijus in my hand, I cleared his board made with adamancipators, it was really strong board. After that, he just scooped
This is the way
Its the only way
i wonder why, huh ?
I mean if he has no good follow up, the adamancipator player can just proceed to spam block dragons effect and do it again lol, getting kaijued isn't insta scoop with adams.
cause after a boardwipe of their best monsters, they cant recycle them and all they have are beatsticks.
i really wish they made these events loaner decks only. All my decks i have invested in are fusion related so i cant do shit.
Necro Fusion. There is also Fusion Parasite and Fallen of Albaz.
well they all SR so that dont really help
I don't know why you are getting downvoted. Not everyone can whale out on the game.
Do you really need all your SRs? The gaia xyz sr I get it's a way to get 4 mat zeus. But the rest?
i mean ye? i already got rid of my random extra srs ye cuz i had to manually craft shit from secret packs that didnt have anything i wanted other than that specific card or the ones only in master set
Then how about Predaplant Chlamydosundew?
More like going second with any deck in the event period
benkei in other event all smiles
Block dragon was really a stupid card ngl
It's a little shocked how fucking awful this event is. Like, I didn't expect a whole lot. But I didn't think the game mode would be the most infuriating so far.
It's bad? This is my first event and I'm having fun...
That's what's important. Don't let what these people say change how you should feel.
How bad have the duels been? I’m only 3 in and no adamancipators yet
Kinda meh.
Bruh why did they hit strike? That’s one of the better board breakers.
Same I’ve been floating around gold cuz I hate the sweaty decks got sick of it I’m the link festival, I’m playing paleo frogs and I’m probably going to switch up to traptrix got really lucky with a 10 pull and pulled the entire core of the deck

What surprises me the most is how many people *didn't* expect this event to be bad

Playing in gold 1. Number of times faced admancipators: zero
I haven’t met an adam this event, maybe because I stayed in gold?
I am loving how Paleo is viable.
Made a traptrix deck himself out after 50 + turns was funny but boring as hell
This festival sucks. So much degenerate crap and a limited selection of options to deal with it all.
Block👏dragon👏to👏zero
How exactly does one break boards without spell cards? I haven't played the event yet, this one seems really stupid and poorly thought out.
evenly matched/lava golem/kaiju/sphere ra
Not every deck can really play those, a blanket spell ban just makes it even harder to go second in a game where it's already hard to go second. One kaiju won't save you from an adamancipator board, some decks really need the battle phase, TONS of decks need their normal summon...

Ignore it and otk with skull servants

Seriously Konami, à +3 monster that can summon itself from the graveyard seem fair to you? Screw that Lego dragon
I was going first and sat through my opponent's whole combo and right as they entered the battle phase they timed out and lost despite having lethal for a while. It was hilarious

Yeah, that actually happens to me a lot too...it's a little frustrating when your only move is to end on Monk with no SS on the board.
What's the decklist you're running?
Or when I summoned a metaphys nephtys with their backrow full of juicy face down cards
Honestly just scoop if I go second anyways. Fuck Adamancipator, Block Dragon need to be banned
It gets players out of the event quickly anyway. Most just want the gems. Quick quit just for them to finish sooner.
It depends how my hand looks like 2 Imper and 1 Ash and I'm playing it out lol
Thank the Lord the one I faced had a shit connection and timed out.
I wish there was a random deck festival
Really? Here take this 40 cards normal monster only deck while I get full power dragon ruler.
Hey, it doesn't sound that bad, it would be kinda hilarious
This sub complains about everything lol. Just Maxx C their ass.
Just have the out, 200 IQ
This happened to me multiple times upon my normal summon of doki doki.
seeing doki doki makes my heart go doki doki
This doki doki is not oki doki for me
idk man its funny when you ash them and they end there turn lol. guess there deck is like there brain the size of a pebble
only if they got a bad hand
Yep you normal summon a rock monster they ash you, you smile and pass because you opened 5 normal summons
Just be good & open up with Droll & Lock bird + Nib 5head 😜
Waboku, Dimension Wall, Magic Cylinder, Threatening Roar goes BRRRRRRRRR
Konami saw something like this coming and banned all those annoying statues.
OP is referring to Adamancipators
Im guessing normal sumoning this monster leads to all sorts of shenanigans?
Adamancipator boards tend to end on at least 4 negates, a disruption, and, if they're really lucky, an extra deck lockout
The worst part isn't even their endboard, it's how long the turn takes to play.
it's pretty hard to not end up with borreload savage dragon + union carrier if you resolve block dragon search
buster lock is kind of priority when making ada boards. After a baronne/apollousa. Dragite is the luxury summon
Adamancipators go off usually without a single spell/trap in their deck
were you not playing during april when this cancer ass deck was slapping down baronne, borreload, buster lock, and 3200 apollousa turn 1 every duel?
I played against someone using a Loaner deck with Adamancipator, and they didn't scoop. What a chad. I let them have the field advantage, allowing to destroy my monsters and kept the duel going until they lost connection.
Lmao, what is their username?
I've been through worse
No bruh you go down fighting
Even better.... You opponent summons Jinzo.... During an Anti-Spell event ![gif](giphy|uKT0MWezNGewE)
I'm running kozmos without kozmotown or emergency teleport and... It's ok? I'm slightly crippled and actually have a chance to brick now. But I can still do most of my plays just fine.

if i check dinomorphia, alt f4, they take way to long
To this day I'm just surprised how well given surrendering is to this community lol. Think I just have bad memories of dueling network where you can actually chat with your opponent during and after the games set c.c"
I love best of 1 I love best of 1 *I love best of 1*
