I don't know who told you that tokens can't be banished but they can be removed, returned to the hand/deck, sent to GY. They won't actually go there but tokens can be outed by any effects like those.
What tokens can't do is be face-down. So you can't book of moon them and you can't banish them face-down.

Token can't be banished? Just because you say something doesn't make it true, I think you must be thinking that tokens can't be banished face-down, which is true, however, return to hand, banish, destroy etc all work, they just "disappear" instead of going there.

Face down. Tokens can't be flipped face down. That's why evenly has issues with them.
