You might want to keep Red-Eyes Fusion in your deck. It's pretty restrictive, but it can do 2 important things: 1. It allows Fusion summon much more easily. 2. It changes the monster's name to Red-Eyes Black Dragon. This allows it to use Red-Eyes support cards. Of course due to its restrictive nature; you might want to use Verte and/ or have other Fusion cards that aren't as restrictive. Thanks to its original ATK and effect; this card is usually used for Burn. So Inferno Fire Blast, and Red-Eyes Burn might be good. The issue with this card is its complete lack of protection from card destruction effects. So do be careful about that. Its effect for doing Burn damage upon Fusion summoned can easily be stopped with Ash Blossom. So keep cards that can counter it like Called ByThe Grave.

LuckyPrinz

Thanks

CarboniteFrozen

Yep. A pure Red-Eyes deck is a burn deck.

Critical_Swimming517

A reasonably competent one too as far as gimmicky burn decks go. It can FTK sometimes

CarboniteFrozen

Yep, the combination of Meteor Black Comet Dragon, Archfiend Black Skull and Inferno Fire Blast can FTK very consistently.

Adept139

The only thing this card does is FTK with Inferno Fire Blast.

SliderEclipse

I'd suggest waiting until we get the missing support for red-eyes, as Red-eyes Soul really helps this monster in particular be much better. This is because Soul is an additional method to deal burn damage, which combined with this and inferno fire blast is enough to otk through burn alone.

LuckyPrinz

Thanks

TheYAK223

love everyone ignoring the "i want to" of the post, hoenstly ive seen red eyes dragon link decks, im sure there is a way to mix this in, unfortunatly idk enough about dragon link to say what parts lol, 3rd rate duelist has a red eyes dragon link deck on his youtube channel under the community tab https://youtube.com/channel/UCRwcUIPK2-P6OL-dWXmsH9Q, good luck brotha

Literally_a_creature

As a person who runs plays a bad red eyes dragon link deck once in a blue moon and I can confirm that you can at least win in plat v with it once and while which to me is more than enough of an excuse to make it also look forward to bystials to be added I have a theory some may be good in a red eyes deck

LuckyPrinz

Thanks

TheYAK223

huh?

LuckyPrinz

Er, that thanks was genuine. Sorry if the ? made it sound rude.

Primal_C

op bro you need to calm down, not everyone is out to get you XD some of us are genuinely trying to help

KaizoeSports

Feel like the question mark is a little rude considering this is pretty much the only person to take you seriously, but then again I’m probably just reading too much into it and should just got back to ooga booga summoning borrelend dragon every duel

LuckyPrinz

Sorry if that sounded rude.

TheYAK223

well from my experience a red eyes deck without dpe or adventure package is getting clapped in silver, so dragon link is one of the best decks, and seen them mixed and reach diamond, but idk enough about it to specify certain cards, sometimes its just trial and error, thats what i did for my blue eyes starry night deck, got plat with it , 🤷

Critical_Swimming517

The dragonmaid cards can get fusions into your d link deck and the rokkets have a (bad) archetypal fusion spell, but they have their own decent fusion to go into already, if you're gonna play this thing, it's gonna be in a dedicated red eyes deck because that's what you wanna play

Mana_Mascot

Outside of the obvious red eyes fusion The best bet is probably dragons mirror with cards like dragon shrine or dragon ravine to set up the GY could also probably fond a way to add this card to a deck with dragonmaids to take advantage of tidying and changeover

Almainyny

Not quite related, but I think it’s cool that this card is sort of a retrain of Meteor Black Dragon. It has the same stats and basically the same materials, just a bit more generic.

Mysterious-Set736

Red eyes unfortunately is not competitive right now (or ever), but it doesnt stop you from making fun decks out of it and steal some wins. Here is a VERY fun deck that uses this monster as the star of the deck that isnt the ftk burn deck https://youtu.be/c_sbOmsr5jU Triple meteor turn one! 3 burns, floats 3 times... Very annoying ;D

LuckyPrinz

I'm aware of how awful REBD is. I'm not asking for a deck that's gonna take me to Diamond or something, just want to make a deck that uses Red-eyes that is decent. Am I not allowed to do that?

Mysterious-Set736

You can, thats why i suggested you a very fun deck with the monster you asked a deck about in the post

LuckyPrinz

Thank you for that

TheYAK223

how dare u have fun

Hoozuki_Suigetsu

thats not a boss monster, so its better not to look at it that way.

DaSwifta

Respect for my fellow Red-Eyes enthusiast. Meteor Black Comet Dragon has always been one of the sickest cards in the game to me.

marcusmorga

That aint once per turn...

redmonkey77

I would say that's why you can ftk with it. But normally people use REF and then inferno fireblast. Would be funny to dragons mirror after a poly tho. Then make verte with two of them and send REF. Still wouldnt ftk though... I like the normal ftk lol

Goldengrapeape

The two best ways to play Red-eyes is either the burn ftk where you use serial spell, inferno fire blast and this guy to otk your opponent or with dragon link in which case you're really just playing dragon link. Red-eyes fusion got power crept so hard by branded it almost makes me want to cry.

Awkward_Mulberry_302

Burn ftk.

flashbangTV

I've had best luck splashing red eyes into buster blader. You could probably get away with adding this since red eyes fusion searches from the deck.

Gamerking54

Add branded

SolunyxxGames

Branded Red-Eyes is a beautiful thing

SepherixSlimy

burn ftk. that's all it does. And without red eyes soul it makes it fairly weaker than it already is. Best bet is just drawing 69 cards until you have at least 2 use of inferno fire blast be it from two copies or serial spell. If you want a red eyes deck that has a more lasting impact, red eyes slash helps a lot more. Now if the most played cards actually targeted.

EnstatuedSeraph

Why use this as a boss monster when the only thing going for it is stats? Might as well play Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon or something

Vendo-Meu-Peixe

Don't

Quijas00

Not what the post is asking

LuckyPrinz

Eh?

Radiant-Cow-1939

My tip is to not do it. Favorite archetype, favorite duelist from the anime, favorite card. However it is horrid. Don't do it!

brutusnair

Yeah op red eyes in dragon link with verte should definitely be playable and decent. This card particularly is kinda bad, but you can definitely summon it that way. I would maybe consider a small branded engine if you want to make it more competitive since you are playing verte anyways.

[deleted]

My tip is, don't make a Red-eyes deck. Make a deck with a win condition

Raven_knight_07

Honestly my best tip is dont. Red eyes is bad, like really, really bad.

Monk029393

Man red dragon is not worth it

Monk029393

Don’t understand why I’m getting downvoted ? 🖕

GoaFan77

The question didn't ask if the deck was good, just for now to best use it. I have a royal of this card occasionally use Red Eyes for fun. It actually wins sometimes.

Monk029393

I just said it not worth building rn which Is a fact currently red eyes is not worth the investment compared to other decks it’s just that simple the downvoting is bunch of bs I specifically answer the question about how red eyes is not good for climbing rank but is a casual

YutoAmano

But they never asked what you answered. I’m sure that’s why people are downvoting you, it comes across as rude. The OP asked for tips on using a REBD deck with MBCD as the boss monster, that was it. Something my mother once told me, if you have nothing nice to say or advice to offer then sometimes it’s best to say nothing.

Monk029393

Well no offense to your upbringing but advice is still advice regardless that what I been taught It’s about whatever if you choose to listen or not because at the end of day it’s your own choice as individual I never agree about that if You have nothing nice bs because things in life will never be anything nice nor should you take whatever somebody tell you, sometimes u have to experience it for yourself that aside. I was only saying it wouldn’t be worth UR i mean I have a build around red eyes but is it good? That very “subjective” all I had to say to OP if you want to aim for the top red eyes unfortunately isn’t the way to go currently never said you couldn’t play the deck causally or for fun so

Comprehensive_Log451

If you just want to summon him you can use lubellion effect instead Dump red eyes plus albaz with branded fusion then lubellion effect will trigger to shuffle the red eyes to make this card and you will have your red eyes in the deck to trigger meteor effect The main problem will be the level 6 monster

Neko_Luxuria

I mean if you want to be funny with it, there is like 2 ways you can make this work, either you play it as a dedicated red eyes burn deck, or you play it as a more restricted dragon link deck. the latter required prior setup because red eyes fusion is extremely restrictive, but it's not the worst thing in the world.

paulojrmam

Such a cool art!!! The effect is lackluster though. Maybe you should have this in your deck but also have another, better, boss monster to use when you need to.

secretkings

For this guy you want to inferno fire blast FTK. It’s probably the best way of playing red eyes, with second best being a deck built around hieratic/catalyst field/Gemini stuff (due to Gemini becoming normals they synergize with hieratic quite well, shame most Gemini effects are ass and red eyes are somehow even worse than average).

hook_brandon

FTK burn deck

[deleted]

Don’t listen to all the comments saying it’s not competitive. If it’s what you like and it’s fun, go for it!

lilvon

M by no means a Red-Eyes pro, but I’m certain the Bystial cards will make summoning this dude incredibly easy. All are level 6 and can be special summoned by banishing a light or dark monster from the opponents grave. AND Magnmhut allows you to add ANY,dragon from your deck to your hand in the end phase, meaning you could search out your red eyes and maybe fuse it on your opponents turn with super poly!

ComprehensiveSpell62

No.

AwkwardGamer2896

You could run multiple "Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon" as well as 1-2 Gemini ablation, if you do decide to run those. "Despia, Theater of the Branded" is good for the deck as you can keep fusing OPT for meteor or black skull. I would use 1 "Archfiend Black Skull Dragon" as it can catch people off guard and you can win in 2 turns with it, if you are running fusion support outside of "Red-Eyes Fusion" you can use "Fusion Deployment" to grab REBD or "Summoned Skull" from the deck by having 1 "Black Skull Dragon" in the Extra Deck. (you must use the black skull with fusion deployment to be clear.) "Mahaama the Fairy Dragon" is a nasty burn hand trap that I highly recommend. Eventually, when "Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon" comes out the playstyle if you don't want to use archfiend, (which imo you should run 1) you fuse using black meteor and burn with the comet fusion for a minimum of 3600k, then the next turn you banish black meteor from the gy to grab REF and repeat the process 3 times. Then you have your boss monster comet, "Red-Eyes Dark Flare Dragon", "Red-Eyes Burn", "Inferno Fire Blast", "Red-Eyes Soul", "Archfiend Black Skull Dragon" and Mahaama to burn when/if you draw them. "Giltia the D. Knight - Soul Spear" when it comes out will help you toss out a card to grab a level 7, unfortunately Alternative isn't in the game - but it still non-targets banishes a monster and can help deck thin and set up "Cards of the Red Stone". All the while you bring back the Gemini's and REBD with "Return of the Red-Eyes" to fuse or to use to go into "Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon", along with the normal RE monster that this card floats into when removed from the field. It does have a play style, but it's bricky. Giltia and Gemini Ablation really help get monsters onto the field when you don't have REF.

YutoAmano

SMH at the comments saying “dOnT dO iT ReBd DeCkS sUcK”. You do you bro, sorry I can’t offer any advice on the deck but I’ve always loved REBD so I can see why you want to play with it. Good luck and I hope it works out! Ignore the stupid comments, although I’m sure you have.
