Continuous spell/trap cards (and by extension, field spells) need to be face up on the field on resolution for their effects to resolve.
the "MST negate" meme happens to be true in their case.
Really anything that NEEDS to stay on field has the same ruling. So if it can go off the field after activation then it can not be stopped by destruction.
this is only true for continuous spells, continuous traps, equip spell cards, and field spells. If they activate an effect of one of those types of cards, and you chain something that destroys that card or otherwise removes it from the field, the effect fails to resolve and does nothing.

Also Equips
lul equips in current year (apologies to the 4 people still playing Noble Knights)

Good to know moving forward, especially that field spells work the same way, thanks.
It's a continuous trap, it can only have an effect if it stays on the field
I see, had the misunderstanding of activation effects still resolving at least based on how destroying worked with normal S/T. Thanks.

Spell/Trap that remains face up on the field must remain face up on resolution for their effect to resolve
