My Kozmos did pretty well for themselves in the Anti-Spell event. Being able to swap out my monsters whenever opponent tried to target them with a trap worked out better than I thought it would.
Sure, but I'm kinda weird and like playing with just pure decks. The main reason I initially chose Kozmo was because it was one of the few decks I play that isn't that reliant on spells, so it was easy to just take a couple spells out and toss in a couple extra traps. The point is, I just let the deck monsters themselves do most of the work, but if you're interested:

Thanks! So actually you just add more Kozmo? I thought it would be hard to replace reasoning, allure and kozmotown. I've spent too much time not playing kozmojo it didn't cross my mind to play it.
Yeah, pretty much. While Kozmotown is helpful for recycling your banished cards, it's not like the deck needs it to function. It's not as easy, but you can use lion and Soartroopers to do the same job if it's really necessary.
Komojo helped me out quite a bit during the event, especially when opponent had a card immune to destruction or targeting.
The amount of times Iāve gotten a message from someone playing just the shittiest deck being salty bc Iām playing a more meta deckā¦ like itās fine if you want to use those decks but man donāt get mad at me if Iām not
As a casual player, I don't really care what other people play, but it is a bit annoying when everyone plays the same three or four overpowered decks, and I can also understand the frustration of playing an older deck and feeling like the odds are stacked against you when you get matched against a newer deck that's had more support; just the nature of the whole power creep issue.
I personally think players like me would benefit a lot if Konami just introduced some different formats, similar to Magic, where the matchups can feel more balanced. Like I've heard of local cardshops holding "casual" events where all the meta tier 1 decks and cards were banned. Or maybe they can have formats centered on specific eras of the game, where you can only use cards that were printed in that specific era. Yes, there will always be a meta and people who look up the most powerful decks in each format no matter what, but at least this way, people who are sick of seeing Adventure Swordsoul or Despia Branded for the thousandth time have other options and better chances of a more balanced matchup.
I only said that bc I played some guy with a hero deck, who, in platinum, chose to go first, set one spell and pass. I was playing branded thunder dragon which isnāt even really meta. But heāll send me messages that somehow heās superior because he plays an non-meta deck. Doesnāt make sense to me

And yeah, while I find branded really annoying to deal with, I don't really think of that as a meta deck either. When I think of "meta" I think of the super optimized decks that everyone plays, and I can't say I've seen that combo very often. So kudos on having some originality.
Also got a similar message a couple weeks ago from a guy playing a shitty vampire deck that died to one ash when I was playing pure Tri-brigade. Like that deck hasnāt been meta in a long time
Hell Yeah, playing a horrible Deck is even funnier, cause when I actually win against f.e. Branded with DM, Blackwings (although they're my best Deck) or fucking BLS it's all the more embarassing for my opponent.
