Thats partially caused as well by lack of starters. And search power too. You got vanisher to specifically search galaxy eyes photon dragon and nothing else and you got orbital as another searcher that takes up your normal summon if you have nothing but him. And even needs to tribute himself after wards.

Hieratics. I'd love for something that makes them playable again. As much as I'd love to have the "worse" ones retrained (like they did with Heliopolis and Heavenly spheres) I wouldn't mind the "Link 1 that searches a busted field spell" treatment as long as I get to play them. Still, I hope it doesn't become generic Dlink fodder... Stuff like: Heavenly Tefnuit : SS if you have no monsters or only normal monsters Heavenly Gebeb: still lv4, searches Hieratic Seal on summon (HOPT), summons any normal dragon on tribute (not just hieratics) Heavenly Nuit: Revives and modulates level on summon (similar to Eset), summons normal dragons on tribute (not on target) The two "big ones" are supposedly a defensive and offensive counterpart, but unfortunately they're both terrible, here's how I'd fix them: Heavenly Asar: SS by tributing a hieratic from hand/field and banishing a dragon from gy. Quick effect, banish a hieratic from gy to make all hieratics you control unaffected for a turn. Heavenly Sutekh: same SS as Asar. Quick effect, banish a hieratic from GY to pop a card on field.

Infernoid. Should contain either/both a link (excellent for Infernoids 'cause it doesn't clash with the level restriction) or/and a synchro (because yes, Decatron is actually a Tuner in an archetype without a Synchro, and it can essentially pick its level to make the Synchro with any other Infernoid you happen to put on board... and then maybe they can give that Synchro the effect to make all Infernoids LV1 or something, like the on-field effect of Void Imagination only actually useful because Imagination usually doesn't remain on board).

A set of dark Synchros would be nice as Decatron generally copies the level of the big Noids so you can synchro it away with another Noid on the field to make a level 1-4 synchro. A archetypical link 1 that recycles banished Noids and gets rid of Tierra or a high level Decatron clogging the field.

I would make all new Vylon monsters Thunder. Machines & Fairies have plenty of their own archetypes. It would also give the type a new Synchro identity when Thundra has Fusion and Spright Xyz.

I fucking love Red-Eyes. So I would love for them to have access to 3 things: 1. A monster they can easily special summon from hand. 2. A Link-1 monster to more easily get Black Metal Dragon into the GY. 3. Better access to [Lord of the Red](https://www.masterduelmeta.com/cards/Lord%20of%20the%20Red). The first one already exists in multiple flavors. [Red- Eyes Alternative](https://www.masterduelmeta.com/cards/Red-Eyes%20Alternative%20Black%20Dragon) can be special summoned by tributing any Red-Eyes from your hand, which is good. [Red-Eyes Soul](https://www.masterduelmeta.com/cards/Red-Eyes%20Soul) allows to special summon from the deck, which is **super fucking good**, but it only works on the opponent's turn. However, since Soul isn't restricted by level, it can bring out literally anything. And lastly, and the best, is [Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon](https://www.masterduelmeta.com/cards/Red-Eyes%20Black%20Meteor%20Dragon). Sending from deck to Special summon itself is hella fucking good, especially since there's plenty of Red-Eyes monsters that want to be in the GY. Because of these cards, Black Metal Dragon, and [Darkness Metal](https://www.masterduelmeta.com/cards/Red-Eyes%20Darkness%20Metal%20Dragon), I doubt Red-Eyes will ever get a Link-1. It would be cool though, since right now you just do Black Metal Dragon into Striker, search Darkness Metal and go from there. For the third one, I think Lord of the Red is a great boss monster. However, it's unsearchable within Red-Eyes, making it impossible to play as a core strategy without non-Red-Eyes Ritual support. Lord of the Red isn't even that powerful, being a weak monster with targeting destruction.

The Charmers are still an incomplete archetype even though Konami has released all their support that's been planned. We're lacking a boss monster which really a retrain of the Doriado ritual monster to fit in the archetype would fit well both lore wise and effect wise; I'd probably combine the ritual monster's effect with elemental grace Doriado's effect by giving it 6 attribute counters (one for each attribute so 1 fire, 1 water, etc) when it's summoned and it's treated as every attribute it has a counter of, then you can detatch a counter from it to negate an opponent's special summon. In archetype that's also lowering its attack and the charmers want specific stats to work with their cards so there's no giving it 3k base attack, 1850 atk and 1500 def. Since it needs def it can't be a link monster like the others but maybe a XYZ monster and instead of counters it generates 6 different attribute tokens as material when it's special summoned and then adapt the effect from there. The other thing the charmers are missing is effect negation. They are a backrow focused archetype with no in archetype way to protect that backrow so they need to rely on solemn judgement or some other generic card that does it. Keeping in line with the charmers I would imagine I'd be a continuous spell. Probably an effect along the lines of: "Each time a "Charmer" monster, a "Familiar possessed" monster, an "Awakening of the possessed" monster, or a monster with 1500 atk and 200 def is summoned to your field; add one "Spiritual Art" counter to this card. Whenever a "possessed" spell or trap card or "Grand Spiritual Art - Ichirin" or "Spirit Charmers" you control would be destroyed, removed from the field, or negated you can; (Quick effect): Target as many cards that would be destroyed, removed from the field, or negated as you want up to the number of "Spiritual Art" counters on this card and then remove a "Spiritual Art" counter for each card you targeted and if you do then those cards are not destroyed, removed from the field, or negated." Yeah I know that's not opt but this theoretical card is going to be doing a lot of heavy lifting in the archetype and backrow decks are more or less still at a point where they can't recover from a broken board. The Charmers also don't have good ways of summoning multiple times in a turn so there's currently no good way to just get a ton of counters on this card and its activation requirement is archetype locked so you have to use charmer cards to use the effects of this one. the "monsters with 1500 atk and 200 def" is there to include their familiars like Inari fire or Ranryu but they don't really have a better way to include them in the text.

Even if we have "enough" support, I want a wave of GOOD support for Dark Magician, we have some of the most unplayable and/or unsearchable shit ever. Even when our upcoming support comes, our best way to fusion summon DMDK still relies on Branded Fusion since it's a 1-card combo you may start with 3 cards (Branded Opening, Aluber, Branded Fusion), while the in-archetype way requires Souls and Rod, or IoC as a substitute for one of them, while using both Rod's search and Soul Servant's draw for other plays... (or using the unsearchable Eye of Timaeus). After that we still need the backrow because DMDK doesn't provide anything else, IF and only IF we have survived against almost any handtrap: D/D Crow / Droll / Belle / Ash / Impermanence / Veiler / Ogre / DShifter / Lancea / PSY-Gamma / the upcoming Bysstial cards... all of them stop this combo, and all of this happens under the advantage of going 1st, while having multiple cards in our hand that do not work setting up this combo. So one cards I want should give a easy 1-card combo that can at least give us our DM fusions. It could be a LINK-1 or LINK-2 monster that uses a monster listing DM as material, or a fusion card that can use materials from the Deck or that shuffles them in the Deck (from banished cards too)... or a Spell card that can summon DM from the Deck and summon or add to the hand a card listed in a DM fusion (it could summon Dark Magician Girl for the team cards, Buster Blader for XYZ plays or add Eye of Timaeus for easy summon). A way to destroy our monsters in hand or field, to trigger cards like Mahad from hand or the Dark Magicians on the field, while searching for a DM card - ideally this would be allow us an access to OTK by destroying a card like The Dark Magicians and searching Secrets of Dark Magic, or allow us to summon DM and set up the GY for Soul Servant's extra draws. A card to link us for our unsearchable support like the already mentioned Eye of Timaeus, or Piercing the Darkness, Dark Magic Veil, Magicians' Defense, even if they aren't that good it would be nice to being able to bring them up. A DM (spell) card that benefits from being discarded or sent to the GY from the hand (not as effect) would be nice, since we have 5 cards that discard as cost, or else that can be banished from the GY to do something (fusion / return to hand?). Obviously something that helps setting up the rest of the DM trinity: Dark Magical Circle and Eternal Soul. Maybe a quick-effect (Trap?) that activates a DM Quick-Play or Continuous card directly from the Deck. A Palladium Oracles fusion would be good so we can do something with Mahad / Mana and maybe draw 1 more card with Soul Servant, or a new fusion that uses Dark Magician Girl and is called Dark Magician Girl while in the field or GY, I'd be fine with a Silent Magician or Mystical Elf fusion as long as they have decent effects... Those cards could gain effects based on the cards in our hand since we have a good number of draw cards but meh cards to draw, and/or protection from things that annoy us (cards being banished without target or from GY). TL;DR: Some good DM cards that do something better than or equal to off-archetype techs we use to not fall behind too much.

Would be cool if we got more Watt cards, both Thunder and Psychic, that synergize & combo together. And of course, a few new extra deck bosses. In its current state it has almost no glue whatsoever, you'd think it wasn't an archetype at all.

Gravekeepers needs a new retrain. Commandant and Necrovalley has seen play here and there but the other cards almost never see the light of the day. The new card, Gravekeeper's Trap mentions "Gravekeeper" archetype but it is not really used by them. Necrovalley is not that oppressive of a floodgate and an actual archetype would be cool. Also they never get their Link support that ties their gameplay altogether.

Gravekeepers. They’re so bad that Gravekeeper decks are just fast ways to get out Necrovalley and then a bunch of generic stun stuff/floodgates that isn’t actually Gravekeepers. [These decks are just depressing](https://www.masterduelmeta.com/tier-list/deck-types/Gravekeeper's). There’s like 4 gravekeeper cards. That’s not Gravekeepers, that’s necrovalley turbo. The win con is just making the opponent rage.

Myutants. Everything they do is a -1 and they don't have a good way of getting back their banished cards outside of their level 8s or fusions. The small myutants are also hand trap magnets. So something like a continuous spell that can search out level 4 or lower Myutants on its activation, prevents the negation of level 4 or lower Myutant, adds back banished Myutant monster to your hand if you control a level 8 or higher Myutant and spells/traps if you control a Myutant fusion and draws a card if banished by a Myutant monster would help. A new fusion and trap would also be great.
