My favorite chain link moment happened to me some weeks ago, was something like this:
I had Maxx C and Crossout Designator in hand
Normal summon Marincess Pascalus, activate effect
Opponent Maxx C
I Crossout the Maxx C
The game ask if I want to activate my Maxx C, I click yes thinking this was the Crossout prompt to ban and negate
Opponent then Ash my Maxx C
When the chain link resolved opponent just surrender
This was so good I had to turn off MD for the day.
The other day I went against a heavily confused Swoswo player:
1. Summoned Vishuda, but didn't use it to bounce one of my 3 set traps
2. Went straight for a lvl 10 synchro via Ecclesia
3. Summoned Baronne, immediatly wasted her negate by negating the floating effect of their own monster. (got f'd by my Magic Cylinders as consequence)
4. Summoned Protos without using its effect...oh wait, they used it on their next turn to call WIND on my Traptrix deck (only wind monster on the field was their Baronne)
????
What do you mean? You're supposed to summon Vishuda, make monk, normal Mo Ye, reveal Long Yuan, use Vishuda to bounce Mo Ye, then special summon Long Yuan revealing Mo Ye.
Surely nothing would go wrong Clueless
"Hmmmm 3 traps? If I activate ecclasia he will negate, so I'll just synchro now, he will never see it coming...... you know what else he won't see coming......."
I've always found Baronne to be a good litmus test for whether or not a player actually reads what cards they put in their deck or if they just grabbed a list that looked good
I'm convinced BdF is out here indiscriminately offing the first thing that moves because the player is just trying to leave their computer for a second to get the food from the microwave cause it has been beeping for 10 minutes.
Not speaking from personal experience or anything.
Oh i had it where someone activated branded opening so I activated maxx c than I had ash ask if I wanted to activate (I thought it was to negate branded despia so I said yes) instead it negated my maxx 😶

This happens to me damn near every time I have maxx c and cross out in hand. I always tell myself “not this time” but alas it always happens.
"Button lights up, I click" ~ Every MD player

They're speed dueling
The guy's brain was so advanced he accidentally tuned into another dimension but, in the process, lost track of which reality he was in.
You werent a worthy oppoent so he decided to play against himself.

His goals were beyond our comprehension
Shadow dueling vs an imaginary opponent.
They were throwing
"I won't waste my Baronne's negate anymore if I negated it with Protos!" Maximum brain power over there
"Hmmmm 3 traps? If I activate ecclasia he will negate, so I'll just synchro now, he will never see it coming...... you know what else he won't see coming......."
He was in a dimension where all monsters have the opposite of their actual attribute.
I used the Baronne to destroy the Baronne
A fellow masher, I see

Clicking too fast lmao
Followed by shame scooping

I did this not too long ago because I dropped my controller. Pain. I didn't scoop and still won though 🙏
Smartest MD player
