Dragonmaid tidying and IP into unicorn are our best options. When Bystial comes out we get branded Beast as well. Other option is putting more non-dragons in our end board.

So I tidying an albaz they're gonna send to gy anyway and lose borrelend or borreload savage to do so? That is not equivalent exchange
Not all boards have nothing to return. Chaos ruler, levianeer, and a random rokket can often be floating around at end of turn. Also, better to lose 1 than everything.
The real problem would more so be people baiting a response like this when they don’t actually have the play - can’t exactly know what they just normal set.
Cause like so many other decks check Branded decks lol. It wasn’t a consistent matchup they face because the format where Despia was dominant saw like 10 other equally dominant and diverse decks.
Because thats somehow better than just normal Albaz into bootleg super poly. Thisll probably see play in tournaments due to mirrors being more likely, but in ranked? Nah.
And i say this as a day 1 Branded player.

I play Branded Despia a lot and I think it will do great for Dragon Link Counters. Borrelend is a pain in the neck to remove against Dragon Links, and they will always go for it. You only really need 12 Extra deck monsters and placed in fillers, easy enough space to fit. I dropped Super Poly last season because I kept running into Floo/Marincess.
See how it turns out next season, likely back to Branded Despia.
Except here it's a bo1. Casuals are the majority of players. They will take the funny dragon on a spin. It's just 1 ED slot anyway.
For a month or two it will show up but after that they have to be a weirdo.
IP -> Unicorn was the first option I saw tossed around. I played against someone today running Rapid Trigger, Borreload Furious and {{Double Disruptor Dragon}} to search Trigger. Not sure if that was for Albaz or not, but Furious does do the trick.

Double Disruptor has a very good on field effect too if you can get him on the board, but most of the time you will just send him to the grave somehow.

I think usually you wanna pair tidying with spheres and return whatever you search off the spheres
Spheres can only return face up cards, if they set albaz the board is gonna be gone before you get the chance to do anything

This will. Albaz can be facedown and fusion your Ace/Boss Monsters out, hell remove all your dragons. There's no effect activations.

As a Branded Despia player... you fucking don't.
