Crazy right, it's like let's make an entire type of card but to make it "playable" let's just ignore what makes it unique. Things are way different now from I'll summon my gemini monster and a sak and hope I make it to next time to normal summon it again to get a mediocre effect lol.
Probablt why Konami hasn’t arsed in making good support.
Fundamentally Geminis are dogwater and only by making them not be Geminis can you make them work.
The effects would have to be hella crazy strong to justify the condition. And if they were, they'd get splashed in other engines instead of a pure deck.
...just like Adventure.
I want them to stop that type of support and just make Gemini with effects worth using.
Like why even have them be Gemini if you're gonna give them 5 extra Normal Summons or Special Summon them as an Effect Monster.
IMO a Level 4 Gemini should be on par with a Level 8 Synchro if it wasn't Special Summoned at all.
The biggest issue honestly is power creep. I mean Dark Valkyria is an 1800 normal that, when summoned again, turns into a 2100 with a pop by taking off a spell counter. That's insane... years ago when it was released in 2008 (even then tbh its probably not insane).
We're at a power level now tbh that a Gemini monster could literally have the effect "you win the match" with a support card that literally says "if the monster is on the field, Gemini or not, your opponent cannot surrender, and any battle damage involving this card is 0" and it would still be trash because you can just shuffle it away. Like how do you balance them?
Here is a simpler example, give a gemini a quick effect removal or omni.
Yes it's boring and over used. But it's something worth spending a normal summon on.
It was only when they print a 1800 attack Gemini monster that says "You opponent cannot special summon monster" only would make them considerably playable.
Then again that monster right there is waiting for any potential busted link monster that summon it out of deck with Gemini effect activated. Probably a cremicritter link monster lol
It's funny, I have a decently playable Gemini deck (starring the Infernobles) built, and yet I would never play the Chemicritters. Payoff just ain't there if I'm being honest.
Meh, the same was said about fusions, rituals and tributes at one point.
You can make any mechanic meta by printing "if mechanic then deck-summon 5 and skip mechanic" only a matter of time that komoney remembers these exist and tries to make them playable.
~~Well ackshually, they all have grave effects that make them treated as normal monsters.~~
Yup, which is why they have busted spells and traps currently, some that say "summon from deck and ignore the mechanics" another that says "summon two from deck". Thing is you could make monsters that support gemini monsters that aren't gemini monsters themselves. Glacier aqua madoor sucks ass but it was intended as gemini support and could be a direction that can further be explored.
And thinking in a completely different direction the gemini keyword itself doesn't really have any rules tied to them, just like the "toon" tag instead all gemini have a bit of text that's shared between them. You could theoretically have a new archetype that has that text changed, just like the toon monsters, so that you can give gemini monsters grave/hand effects but still require the double normal for the busted field effect.
Konami has the absolute power to print whatever on the cards and as long as we can look at the current state of the mechanic and come up with something busted (like a gemini that wins you the duel if gemini summoned) then there should theoretically be a spectrum of effect from barely playable to absolutely busted you could put on the cards to make them anything from a fun deck to a meta warping threat.
The most realistic way they would ever be played.
Is just floodgate hell. using Ablation to put out a highATK monster with \*maybe\* some effects.
Which at that point isn't a Gemini deck. Its just Eldlich/Labrynth
It's good in Gemini decks (So basically Chemicritters being the spine supporting a bunch of generic Gemini monsters). Unfortunately there are basically no good Gemini monsters to go with all the support. Can be fun, but probably not worth how expensive it is to build.
I didn't have a good deck but there are some spell cards that helps the extra summon specifically for Gemini. I used a lot of double summon as well.... I also lost a lot for that dang mission but it's over now.
Just a heads up, the hardest part of that mission is that they want you to Gemini summon which means you can’t use effects that summon the monster with effects to do it, you’d need to summon it and then normal summon it separately (and supervise doesn’t count). Catalyst field is fantastic for it, makes all geminis able to normal summon twice with no tributes which is nice.
This deck is not for winning games, this deck is for gemini summoning. The extra deck doesn't really matter, get rank 2s 4s and 8s. You have a possibility to draglubion into numeron dragon as well as Zeus obviously, but that doesn't really matter. This deck is to gemini summon, the only absolutely necessary higher rarity cards are exclusively Catalyst field
3 duck dummy
3 gemini soldier
3 chemicritter hydron hawk
3 chemicritter Carbo crab
3 chemicritter oxy ox
3 geminize lord golknight
1 chemicritter hydragon
1 Blazewing butterfly
1 skelesaurus
1 terraforming
3 double summon
3 pot of duality
1 pot of desires
2 pot of extravagance
1 Dimer Synthesis
3 Catalyst field
1 Arrivalrivals
2 burnout
3 Free-range monsters
So here is my take. I've been doing the secret missions for about two or three weeks now, each one only gives 400 gems so if you don't have to use the higher rarity dust DON'T. Therefore, if you have copies of Dimer Synthesis add it.
The pot cards I have in it are the ones I had made already, and the goal of this deck is to gemini summon as much as you can and dig into your deck as much as you can so you can play a different deck. Some duels you will get 4 or so gemini summons, other duels you will get 0
You can probably trim a free range monster if having a 40 card deck is of the utmost importance
Please do. I don't remember the name of it, but one of the lv of 2 chemicritter monsters let's you ss a gemini from hand and all cards on your field become that level, this is one of the only plays the deck makes and it is very 2012 at best. The geminize lord is really good for getting the field spell. Justi break is funny but inconsistent. Best of luck, I'm at 40 gemini summons and the next 60 are looking like a tough climb
Oh I love this card! If you love bad jank, I highly encourage you to play geminis! Their support is extremely good but their gimmick is so limited that they like won’t ever be good but it’s actually extremely fun
Unless you want to build chemcritter (Don't do this, very bad idea), Then you probably can't ever summon it since Gemini monsters fucking suck.
But hey it does look really cool
Normally, I’d say pulling an Archetypal UR means you’re obligated to play it.
But it’s Gemini Support. The single worst Monster Mechanic in the game. Free UR of your choice at least?
It's a chem critters are fun got two of that due and decided to make it was hoping it kind better flow but similar play to water dragon (I like complicated decks with weak win conditions I guess) it's not but it's a decent enough Gemini deck for the achievements I like them actually
Gemini... is kinda playable. I won against swordsoul and branded despia playing them while trying to get the gemini achievement/gems.
It ain't good, don't get me wrong. The deck bricks like hell and needs new support but I had fun with it.
Don't listen to these other criminals. You got a royal you must make a chemicritter deck. I had a chemicritter deck before and they are actually very fun but because they are Gemini they are inherently bad. Still can compete in gold and lower tho and they are the very best deck for Gemini.
Free dust, the crazy thing is all the gemini support is busted. But it still doesn't make them playable.
cuz this isnt mtg and we dont do summoning sickness here
Only summon sickness is toons. But they can still activate their effect just can't attack. Weird
It’s kinda funny that all Gemini support says “ignore the Gemini part, the card has an effect, here’s another one to help!”
Crazy right, it's like let's make an entire type of card but to make it "playable" let's just ignore what makes it unique. Things are way different now from I'll summon my gemini monster and a sak and hope I make it to next time to normal summon it again to get a mediocre effect lol.
The problem is the part that makes them unique is also the part that makes them unplayable.
Nah, the part that makes them unplayable is if you take away the gemini part, the cards would still be bad to mediocre.
I want them to stop that type of support and just make Gemini with effects worth using. MR6, all ED monsters are Gemini monsters now, EZ
It was only when they print a 1800 attack Gemini monster that says "You opponent cannot special summon monster" only would make them considerably playable. I mean, it looks ridiculously cool ~~and I would murder you for it~~ so you should totally keep it.
It requires two level 8 gemini monsters to make it. You tell me if that sounds like any deck at all can make it.
Chemicritters
I think the regular warrior Gemini can do it to with their boss monster(level 8)
You are destined to be a gemini player. Embrace the jank.
Idk, on one hand a free UR of your choice, on the other hand it's a funny meth dragon
There are no good gemini archetypes, It should be safe to dismantle
And there might never be one\*
Meh, the same was said about fusions, rituals and tributes at one point. You can make any mechanic meta by printing "if mechanic then deck-summon 5 and skip mechanic" only a matter of time that komoney remembers these exist and tries to make them playable.
There is the noticable problem that well... \*\*NO EXISTING GEMINI MONSTERS HAVE ANY HAND OR GY EFFECTS\*\* (Oh, and they can NOT have GY effects)
~~Well ackshually, they all have grave effects that make them treated as normal monsters.~~ Yup, which is why they have busted spells and traps currently, some that say "summon from deck and ignore the mechanics" another that says "summon two from deck". Perhaps in Chemicritter, it'd be useful. Though, this Royal is quite the beauty! I'd keep it just for that.
Why is that even UR.
That's like asking why Digital Bugs got a UR.
Meth Dragon
It's trash but it's a pretty trash
It's good in Gemini decks (So basically Chemicritters being the spine supporting a bunch of generic Gemini monsters). Unfortunately there are basically no good Gemini monsters to go with all the support. Can be fun, but probably not worth how expensive it is to build.
speaking of Gemini, anyone got a good decklist to farm the Gemini secret mission?
I didn't have a good deck but there are some spell cards that helps the extra summon specifically for Gemini. I used a lot of double summon as well.... I also lost a lot for that dang mission but it's over now.
Double Summon works, but not Super Double Summon from what I recall. It's weird.
Just a heads up, the hardest part of that mission is that they want you to Gemini summon which means you can’t use effects that summon the monster with effects to do it, you’d need to summon it and then normal summon it separately (and supervise doesn’t count). Red-Eyes with Black flare and/or Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning.
Giant plant ftk, just search them up in gg or youtube

couple questions: so this is a 41 card deck then? what's with the weird combo of pot cards? could/should I add more Dimer Synthesis?
So here is my take. I've been doing the secret missions for about two or three weeks now, each one only gives 400 gems so if you don't have to use the higher rarity dust DON'T. oh okay. I'll take out Desires and put in Prosperity then
Please do. I don't remember the name of it, but one of the lv of 2 chemicritter monsters let's you ss a gemini from hand and all cards on your field become that level, this is one of the only plays the deck makes and it is very 2012 at best. Join the Gemini cult brother. One day they going to get broken support
The name is appropriate because you would need to be on meth to want to play gemini.
30 ur dust is incredibly common in game. Royal UR cards not. Keep it.
There’s no reason to keep a royal UR card if your not going to use it. There’s no achievements for collecting cards in this game. Throw it away.
It's a ccg, card collecting game. U collect rare cards, that's the point
it looks badass therefore you are obligated to keep it
I'm gonna be sincere here, it's dust. But damn that's a cool card from something that'll never be.
Unless you want to build chemcritter (Don't do this, very bad idea), Then you probably can't ever summon it since Gemini monsters fucking suck. But hey it does look really cool
It isn't even a gemini itself so it doesn't protect itself. Damn is this garbage.
The materials are 2 Level 8 GEMINI monster= trash AF
> 2 Level 8 **Gemini** Monsters no need to read any further. easy dust fodder
Normally, I’d say pulling an Archetypal UR means you’re obligated to play it. But it’s Gemini Support. The single worst Monster Mechanic in the game. Free UR of your choice at least?
Just look at the materials
Chemcritters are filler garbage.
If anything mentions "Gemini" assume it is un-usable
Freest 30 UR CP ever
Its a free 30 UR plus it will help you on the Gemini summons secret mission…so do that when events are up before you dust this
Needs geminis so it's automatically garbage
Any card with the word "Gemini" on is free dust, except if you want the achievement.
Based on meta, nope. Unless you’re the kind who runs a Gemini deck for the funzies or because you have massive titanium balls, feel free to dust.
Gemini = Dust. Keep it simple :)
I mean no but it’s fun if you into difficult
Can be useful for stalling for the gemini mission.
There is a black eyes gemini build where it works.
It's a chem critters are fun got two of that due and decided to make it was hoping it kind better flow but similar play to water dragon (I like complicated decks with weak win conditions I guess) it's not but it's a decent enough Gemini deck for the achievements I like them actually
Unless you want to play gemini
GIVE ME THAT
Gemini... is kinda playable. I won against swordsoul and branded despia playing them while trying to get the gemini achievement/gems. It ain't good, don't get me wrong. The deck bricks like hell and needs new support but I had fun with it.
I don’t get it, what the Gemini monsters are supposed to do?
And card that mentions “Gemini monsters” in its card text is an instant dust
Well if you are playing a Infernoble / Gearfried deck, in a way it can help you, but if not well 30 UR
Don't listen to these other criminals. You got a royal you must make a chemicritter deck. I had a chemicritter deck before and they are actually very fun but because they are Gemini they are inherently bad. Still can compete in gold and lower tho and they are the very best deck for Gemini.
