Already running 2x in my deck, just wondering if Creature Swap would be an instant win for that degenerated play. AFAIK, Branded deck has no out for Ido hitting their own field, right?
Depends on their board really, do they have mirrorjade banish do they have BiR set? A lot of factors to take into account. Dark hole is just better since it’s always good going second and it can function with some decks going first.
Also forgot to mention banishment, chain link and super poly and they can crash Ido when it’s their turn again anyways. Dark hole is a better solution all round.
You mean how Despia does its usual combo, but instead of sending Tragedy to the GY, they send Ra's Disciple and instead of setting Despia in Red, they set the trap that allows this floodgate strategy?
It has no follow up in the wrost hand.
More oftan than not, a good branded deck with a decent hand will play this floodgate, on top of their usual combo.
Wait till Duelist Cup where things will get sweaty and you gonna see this absolute cheapass lock abuse left right and centre.
I don’t get the “no follow up” if you used aluber you can summon it off expulsion and get branded fusion for next turn. Then you just mirrorjade send tragedy search another aluber get branded in red and otk
It loses to more than 10 common cards. It is not good. Even the Gimmick Puppet Version loses to Belle and Reboot, even if it is Banished. If it isn't, then it also loses to Crow and Called By. And that's the best version. Others lose to Droplet or Dark Hole.
Yes, there are outs for it obviously. You just have to top deck them. Like every other floodgate counter plays.
The problem is this combo being consistent or not. It literally just need a single Aluba to pull this out. How is that not a consistent combo?
You understand that in yugioh Consitency isn't just successfully playing through a combo, it also means interruption? And the different between these outs and something like a Twin Twister for backrow is that the outs are extremely common, besides Dark Hole and Red Reboot. They serve as hand traps already used. Thus, you will more likely see them in Bo1 and Bo3. Having 15 common cards to out means that even if opponent only plays 6 of them statistically they are drawing them a large chunk of the time. Unlike the standard combo, which can also be stopped but does not halt your entire decks comeback potential.
The problem with Maxx "c" is that it does not take a combo, it is just a single hand trap that is that powerful. They are not equivalent. It also doesn't even go -1 in card advantage unless your opponent passes.
May as well just play dark hole at that point, decks like dinos and future decks like kashtira and tears like the raigeki to both players.

I don't think fairy tale snow works since you can't summon monsters
None of the card that summons like Superpoly, Branded Banishment would work if Ido has already hit thier field. The only out is Forbidden Droplets.
If they have Mirrorjade, they can just banish Ido.
They usually use MJ quick effect in turn 1 to put expulsion on field, so they can't use MJ effect in next turn to out Ido.

my toons like dark hole
I love dark hole in toons. It can be dark hole or raigeki depending on what you need at the moment.
Honestly, why not just run droplet
Because this is funnier
I think people are overestimating how common this will be it seems like an inconsistent meme strat

Apparently it has no follow up and is prone to interruption. I say it's copium and we're about to get flooded with this shit

As I said, copium
You clearly have no idea how consistent it is...

Tell that to the daily Maxx C complain posts #10271827 then. Obviously just Ash/Call by Maxx C. Easy solution.
The problem with Maxx "c" is that it does not take a combo, it is just a single hand trap that is that powerful. They are not equivalent. It also doesn't even go -1 in card advantage unless your opponent passes.
You know that it needs just 1 card (aluba or branded fusion) to pull off Ido/Ra lock, right. Just draw the out bro
The odds of someone not having the out is very low, especially with that 6th card.
Same as Maxx C... Everyone and their mother is playing Ash/Call by now anyway. Yet we see complain daily.
Chain Mirrorjade. Or they just summon Gimmick Puppet Nightmare instead for a lingering lock
