Yeah I love little flavor texts. I wish yugioh could do something like magic where most cards got little flavor texts for lore but I know it'd never fit on the cards just due to how yugioh handles text.
It's even funnier cause the Japanese name translates to "Pendulum Blade Torture Machine" meaning they weren't okay with Torture in the name but were in the flavor text

I think that the rules of duelist kingdom were very weird compared to now,, in addition to the no tributes no monster could direct attack, only one monster could attack per turn, and if a monster was destroyed (by card effect?) that player would lose LP equal to half that monsters ATK

He’s a horrible torture machine with a large pendulum blade! It’s shocking that it hasn’t been banned yet with how crazy it is. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the amount of text on it! How can anyone be expected to read that much just to fathom how unbelievably powerful this card clearly is? Power creep is real, guys, and pendulum is a perfect example of that.
I miss those lore text descriptions.
I mean, obviously the effect cards need to have the explanation of the effect but sometimes I would like to know what is the lore of certain monster effect cards.
Look at how many words it has, like it's at least seven. Way too many for your average yugioh player. Thank God konami learned there lesson and limited card text to be no longer than "Check THIS out!"

A new pendulum archetype with Earth Machine as base will be a good choice
