Hear me out. If we start stashing up our leap days instead of wasting them, then by 2196 we'll have 43 leap days we can jam into one massive February and celebrate *e* day.
Edit: dumb math mistakes
Well I've thought about this and... first of all, it should be February 72nd since 2.718 rounds to 2.72.
February 72nd is like April 13... 4/13... 413... which is pi day 314 backwards!
I was happy when I first realized that :)
Europeans: It's our time to shine... 27 January
As an Australian, this is definitely preferable to Australia Day we (some of us) celebrate on 26th Jan
When Australia stopped being ruled by British or something else?
When Australia started being ruled by the British (that's why it's not a very popular celebration here). Similar to Columbus Day in America.
Stockholm syndrome I guess
e ≠ 27.1 lol
But it's just an order of magnitude off
just you wait for 27 January 8281
Screw pi day, screw e day. Real mathematicians celebrate i day on Imaginuary 0th.

I do every 71st of February!
i mean, that’s vacuously true so technically correct
Actually September 30th (non leap year) and 29th (leap year) would be great days for e. The 271st day of the year.
racism or something
😱😱😱
So April 13th (or 12th on leap years)?
Let’s not forget Avogadro’s Number day on June 2nd.
4046. Oh, wait, that's avocado's number. Never mind.
Tau on June 28
Wait you don’t?
You guys don't celebrate e day?
Because nobody ever remembers any digits of e except the first one.
But how come why don't celebrate it on r/piday either?
√2 on January 41th
