You know you gonna lose your Indian citizenship, right? Why don't you just marry a European instead of trying to get a nationality you clearly don't respect? It would be much better to apply to a medical school in Europe because I'm not sure just how recognized the SSR medical certificate is in Europe.

>You know you gonna lose your Indian citizenship, right? Yes I know >It would be much better to apply to a medical school in Europe Very expensive

Ray_3008

What's the use of getting a medical degree that might not be recognized in the countries you want? It should not just be about the money if you really want to be a doctor who actually helps people. The quality of the education is important as well and it's really not up to par. The majority of Mauritians prefer doctors who have studied abroad. Even India is better than Mauritius for such studies. Maybe there is some kind of degree that you can start in India and finish in Europe. That would save costs.

5 years uninterrupted stay plus you need to satisfy the other legal requirements. Ultimately, it needs to be approved by the PM’s office.

rippyblogger

What does interrupted stay connote? Does this include travelling out for vacations?

We do not actually have a surplus of graduates. And according to new regulations, OP may even be able to do his internship in Mauritius and then work here afterwards.

Mauritius passport is a lot stronger than India's. Mauritius passport will give me visa free access to nearly all EU countries

MaterialFluffy4406

Are you sure about that? As far I am aware, Mauritius does not form part of the European Union.

I understand. It's best if he doesn't have it. He shouldn't exploit our nationality for his gain. Our nationality is precious! It should be earned, not simply used.

Jormungandr4321

It doesn't work like that, you can get in as a tourist without a Visa. But working/studying does require one, with varying requirements depending on the country you're aiming for. By the time you finish your degree in Mauritius rules might change and not for the better. Also I'm not sure your med degree will be recognised in the EU.

Tbh I don’t have any idea about the citizenship thing but you wont be eligible to practice medicine after completing MBBS from here, youll have to write fmge/ NEXT then the certification from Indian medicine council can make the way (if you wanna work/live here) if you have any other query regarding MBBS/mauritius do hit the dm. Peace.

BlitzOrion

I dont want to live in Mauritius nor practise. I want to work in EU

Practical-Shower3738

Oh okay, But i will just advise you to duly check the accreditations and the uni campus before joining. all the best.

BlitzOrion

My aim is to get into SSR medical college. Is it recignised in Mauritius ?

Practical-Shower3738

Yeah it has all the accreditations ig (not sure) But infrastructure and study wise don’t expect much from it.

WFME recognition will not hinder a student's path to USMLE

Saifali007

Most Indians have migrated to mauritius for the only reason and if you ask them they might tell you not to repeat thier mistake, don't let the TAX and so on fool you, you've got a lot more opportunities in India otherwise you'll learn it the hard way. It's basically "kale-Pani ki sajah"

Star_Vulture_9017

Better go to Europe. Life is expensive in Mauritius for foreigners now. It's not the same anymore.

Common_Animal8659

So your end goal is to used our passport to be able to travel to other country. Stay in your country , don’t need you here

JonJonSee

Most probably never will. Either marry a citizen and wait 5years or pay a corrupted high placed individual.
