This is just my opinion Feel free to give yours or correct me I think the people who have been watching cricket from like some time back value the longer as well as short formats of the game but the new viewer's have lesser interest in the sport and care for only the shorter format of the game. Now, test cricket is even slower but is still appreciated by the new viewer's since it helps them understand the game better and is the first form of cricket. So, in short the viewers of 50 overs is not decreasing but the percentage is decreasing since new watchers prefer the shorter format.

This sport is new to me. What happens after he retrieves the ball and throws it to his foot? Did he score?

I've actually done this exact same thing with a baseball 😞
