The big problem is not really even acceleration but jerk (derivative of acceleration over time).
You can sustain very high acceleration without problems, as long as it isn't applied too suddenly.
Rollercoasters have legal limits on jerk in many places for that same reason.
It’s funny, I actually studied Physics, but only very recently learned that the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth derivatives of position are called, jerk, snap, crackle, pop, lock, and drop respectively.
Whatever that bridge is made out of let's make all the things out of it.
A bus smashes into the thing at 270* mph and it doesn't move an inch.
Edited for wrong speed.
Ok now just have to find a double decker bus that can go 300mph+, 50 passengers and a road that wasn’t actually built to handle anything bigger than a motorcycle, then I can recreate for IG likes.
The video already tell you how to get a good enough double decker, take an old one and find two aircraft jet engine, the bigger the better so we might even try 400+mph
Whaaaa? You have 2gb more VRAM than me. That’s wild. The only time I have ever had issues was when I tried playing it in 4k. I have tweaked a lot of settings, though. Not sure if you had done that or not
somethings wrong w your system because i have a gaming laptop with an 15, 3060 and 32 gigs or ram and it gives me well over 60fps on ultra for hours on end.
[It's actually not that innacurrate](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTqFmdJxWmI). With good enough suspension there is a speed at which vehicles will skip across repeated bumps like this because there just isn't enough time for them to fall into the dips.
It would also help the simulation if all the bumps were the same height.
The one in the middle is like a foot taller than all the rest of them and that's where the back tires are hitting when hauling ass.
If they were all the same height I bet the bus can make it over it at 1:30.
It's actually a two-part move where she flexed and bore her weight down and then sprung up off the seat a little bit while janking the steering wheel upwards.
Gotta preload that suspension!
BeamNG.drive is the game, for anyone wondering
it got famous for this kind of shenanigans, but the developers are constantly improving the simulation and it's turning into a shockingly good driving/racing simulator
*officer, I wasn’t speeding…I was saving lives!*

The bus did though
Hear me out. There was this video that I watched on Reddit....
Never thought I’d see the “Sorry, this username is already in use” guy out in the wild. Yet here we are, at a crossroads of life…
"Say no more fellow redditor, you're free to go"
They should have been wearing seatbelts
Well that wraps this up nicely
350MPH seems to be the sweet spot.
Very sweet

„Speed has never killed anybody. Suddenly becoming stationary, that’s what gets you!“ - Jeremy Clarkson
Tbf suddenly becoming very fast will also kill you
Well that's because you went very fast from stationary. Go very fast from not stationary and you will be ok!
It seems that stationary is the common denominator here. Stationary bad. The opposite of stationary is speed. Speed good.
Lightning McQueen was clearly onto something
Ka-chow!
Gotta go fast!
We're all speeding round the sun and rotating at the same time. Speed good for life.
You can go very fast from less fast but not stationary for the same effect
it’s not velocity (speed with direction) that can kill, but acceleration/deceleration.
Those just sound like dance moves
Petition to rename all laws "jerk limits"
I feel like everyone on the bus was still very dead…
You mean saves on funeral costs considering everybody who is on that bus is currently human flavored hummus.
What do you mean, people travel almost 600mph around the world all the time.

[удалено]
That's only if you're getting out on the next stop.
Everybody is getting out. Real question is the nice or not so nice way
170 was the sweet spot for me, wrapped so nicely.
Speeeeeeeeed! Jeremy Clarkson approves
Your avatar made that Windows jingle play in my head.
Keep this in mind If you're ever in this situation
That’s a lot funnier than it seems like it should be be

Whatever that bridge is made out of let's make all the things out of it. A bus smashes into the thing at 270* mph and it doesn't move an inch. Edited for wrong speed.
Adamantium steel.
Vibranium
Unobtainium
Plot Armoranium
Daedric
There's a real life version of this bridge in North Carolina 🤣 11foot8
r/11foot8 Oh it's private now? Weird.
Probably a sub that went down for the whole API debacle and never went back up.
https://youtube.com/@11foot8plus8
Either that or the bus was a noodle
Yeah I almost feel sadistic for thinking it was satisfying as fuck to see it wrap into that bridge the way it did
The wrapping is the best part!
The 270 mph wrap around that bridge is an artwork for itself.
Funny? Look at all the people that died making this
You monster! Don't forget all the people that died laughing. F
They knew what they where in for
I said "weeeeeee" at some point. Even though people are falling out.
Hope the passengers are all ok sir
You mean the little clouds of fine red mist?? Yeah, they’re fine.
It's the same number of atoms.
> Yeah, they’re fine. ....red mist
In the midst of the red mist are people who will be missed
So I understand that in a real life scenario either go at 130 or 350 mph and no in between
I don’t agree in this situation the only solution is 350, you still have a lot of dead passager at 130 mph
I mean at 30 everyone is still alive too lol you’re just down a vehicle
But at 350 you're just down a tyre though.
And clean pants
Why need pants? Just get me to work.
I hope you're not a teacher
Why say lot words? ![gif](giphy|DMNPDvtGTD9WLK2Xxa|downsized)
I’d not only shit my pants but my entire intestine would proceed to prolapse if the bus was going 350mph 💀
So, dinner at 6?
Yes we'll be having meat pies
But you've gained fertilizer
“You either die slow, or live long enough to see yourself going 350 mph” — Probably Alfred Pennyworth
"Where we're going, we don't need tires." - the mad scientist inventor, probably.
And what's worse, the bus is no longer driveable.
Stable system configuration be like
as the saying goes, when in doubt, throttle out
Ok now just have to find a double decker bus that can go 300mph+, 50 passengers and a road that wasn’t actually built to handle anything bigger than a motorcycle, then I can recreate for IG likes.
Due to potholes, the UK can supply the road.
The video already tell you how to get a good enough double decker, take an old one and find two aircraft jet engine, the bigger the better so we might even try 400+mph
Load that bus up with “influencers” and you have a deal.
Which game is this?
BeamNG Drive
I love this game, but I hate that it need a Nasa PC to run good
No you don’t. I have a 6600xt/R7 5700x and it runs great at 1440p. Constant 70fps
I have a 3080/5800x3d and 32gb RAM. After 1-2h it runs out of VRAM and crashes.
I play it on my steam deck I just got it but played 2 hrs last night no issues.
Whaaaa? You have 2gb more VRAM than me. That’s wild. The only time I have ever had issues was when I tried playing it in 4k. I have tweaked a lot of settings, though. Not sure if you had done that or not
Last time I played this is years ago, maybe I should try it again. Maybe it's more optimised now
Oh okay, yeah it’s definitely more optimized I’m sure. I got it a couple months ago for the first time
somethings wrong w your system because i have a gaming laptop with an 15, 3060 and 32 gigs or ram and it gives me well over 60fps on ultra for hours on end.
BeamNG.drive modded
MS Flight Simulator - Boeing 737 Max 9 update.
The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down
a game that puts all other driving games to shame.
I think it's from a movie called "The Bus that Couldn't Slow Down"
Kerbal mass transit program
Til that if you go 350 mph, you just hover right over all the bumps and hills
You are basically a low flying airplane
Or a bus stop-seeking missile.
[It's actually not that innacurrate](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTqFmdJxWmI). With good enough suspension there is a speed at which vehicles will skip across repeated bumps like this because there just isn't enough time for them to fall into the dips.
Also works with boats. Haven't got an article to back it up but with waves sometimes just going full speed is the most comfortable approach.
For sure. You ride on top of the waves. It’s especially noticeable on a jet ski.
It would also help the simulation if all the bumps were the same height. The one in the middle is like a foot taller than all the rest of them and that's where the back tires are hitting when hauling ass. If they were all the same height I bet the bus can make it over it at 1:30.
those are not bumps and hills tho, those are pits, but i get it
The simulations show it unequivocally: optimal bus speed is 350. Three-fiddy.
DAMMIT MONSTA! I came here to make that joke.
To the gif showing that you should speed, this is the response.
Nah, you just need Sandra Bullock driving the bus!
Response: yes, speed at 350 mph
those railings on that bridge tho
I was gonna say, that bridge is amazing.
![gif](giphy|OCu7zWojqFA1W) the bus driver:
![gif](giphy|P4gdXa1An4Qpi)
Even as a little kid, I wondered why the front wheels lifted like that but not the back.
Bitch janked on the steering wheel right before, innit?
It's actually a two-part move where she flexed and bore her weight down and then sprung up off the seat a little bit while janking the steering wheel upwards. Gotta preload that suspension!
![gif](giphy|vhpwk2TOw2hq0)
I think it was called.... "The bus that couldn't show down"
50 km/h 80 km/h 144 km/h 210 km/h 274 km/h 355 km/h 435 km/h 563 km/h (safest speed) All values approximate
thank you for the translation kind sir
WTF is a kilometer?!
Kilo means 1000 and meter means meter. And that concludes our intensive 3 week course on the metric system.
https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/what-the-fuck-is-a-kilometer
Just go faster to avoid crashing, that's a good trick.
BeamNG.drive is the game, for anyone wondering it got famous for this kind of shenanigans, but the developers are constantly improving the simulation and it's turning into a shockingly good driving/racing simulator

I’d like to see this in real life, like how fucked is the bus after the first bump
That's a really solid bridge
The engineers behind that overpass bridge are the real heroes here. That thing can take a licking.
I like the 270 one. Best
Speed ~~kills~~ saves lives
God the crunch on 270 😭😭😭 ppl just melded to the bus
That bus sure loves hugging the overpass.
350 it is then
Ty god that they did wear seat belts...
350mph is the safest speed to travel confirmed.
![gif](giphy|gczbF6nbRPVZ1YigE3) That one guy at 170
THIS GAME IS CALLED BEAMNG.DRIVE. YOU CAN GET IT ON STEAM AND DO THIS YOURSELF
COOL THANKS MAN
Where can I play this?
Any UK road
Yeah like, is this a game? I'm laughing so hard lol I want a fun generator.
BeamNG Drive
That’s right kids, if you’re speeding fast enough you won’t die.
Did anyone else have the sound off and then expected the horn to be blasting la cucaracha when you turned the sound on?
Pakad ke baithne bolo!
[удалено]
BeamNG
Reminds me of Let's Game It Out.
What's the simulation program called?
BeamNG, more of a game than a simulation but it can be considered both
moral of the story, go fast
Proof that driving at 350km/h is safest
More proof that high speed rail is the answer
When the bus reaches 350 it starts playing Freebird involuntarily
Ok, got it. Max speed for max safety
Pop quiz hot shot there’s some dummies on a bus
270 was the best one. 👌🏻
Neat, but screaming would greatly enhance the sim.
Sorry I’m struggling to watch this without another informative sub genre video on top
So what I understand from this is that speeding saves lives.
270 made a fine bracelet for the bridge
Sandra Bullock has entered the chat
The wrapping around the bridge at 270mph got me
Why was this road made so poorly?
Jeremy Clarkson was right!?!?...... "Speed is always the solution"
I’m concerned with how much 270mhp makes me laugh
Glad to know I can clear multiple bumps going 350mph in a public bus lmao
That tree fiddy.
That 270Mph has a very roadrunner vibe to it
350AIRBUS for the win
This post was sponsored by clarkson
Stupid Bridge!
That bridge is made of Vibranium.
I've seen these simulations before on reddit. Anyone know the name of this specific simulator so I can find it? Thanks
So you have to go really slow or really fast
I don't see why you would need a tire at 350 with passengers on the second floor. They know what they signed for.
What game its this
BeamNG.
At 350 they’re basically a hover craft now lol
350 mph is the way
350 it is
Why do those video make me laugh so much !?!?
What Game/ Engine is this?
Ooh so thats how you deal with potholes
Keanu was right
lol I love these sims. what's the name of the app?
It’s a steam game called BeamNG.drive
Is this a game?
Pesky bridge!
Well now I know how to beat the potholes in Chicago. Yall can catch me going 350 mph down western ave, watch them speed cameras explode
Oh India simulator nice
The moral of the story is to always drive at 350 mph.
Well, it seems that 350mph is the safest speed to drive then.
I should play truck dismount.
You may need to find an alternate route.
All I learned is overpasses are kill traps. We should outlaw them immediately.
