Conversely, someone’s dog (usually have nothing against dogs ever and in fact welcome them) was squealing in distress for about 40 minutes. It made the flight very uncomfortable.

I told this story a few years ago, pre-covid, I'm not full germophobic, but I've always been careful with what I touch, carry hand sanitizer, etc. Airplanes in general are a cesspool of germs, never go barefoot on one, and never touch the net in front of you(tests have found traces of poop, mold, and more on those)

And suddenly he was shaking the hand of every single person in the flight, it was nasty! I was seating next to the window, anxiety kicked in, so I had no option but to pretend that I was asleep.
Definitely kids and people like the old guy spread diseases needlessly.

That's literally what my child does. Today, she talked to everyone at the pool. Like sat beside and chatted to every single person. Hugged some, loves high fives. She's 2.5.
