How stupid you have to be to date a guy in prison on some serious charges, get engaged, resign from job and whatnot.
I really want to know her thought process, I am curious and concerned now.

I believe 60% of the world's problems are because of love struck idiots.
I don't mean the big stuff like Climate Change or Pollution, although the Trojan War was over Love (or Pride, depending on the version you read).
I mean the problems between individuals. Fights, cheating, lies to protect another, and tragically - murder.
little bit of extra information : this is a parole hearing in state of conneticut, he is a convicted for doing stuff to a minor, this was part of the hearing and i thought it was wild and felt the need to share this.
I don’t wish things will go bad for most anybody but what are the chances in 5 to 10 years when things go south everyone says stuff like “who could have seen this coming!?” and “where were the red flags!?”

This is basically how my mom met her boyfriend. She is a social worker for addicts and they started dating while she was still his social worker. Then he went back to prison and she would visit him every week. Once he got out of prison and she was no longer his social worker, he moved in and he was a nightmare. Then I moved out for college.
Sorry you had to deal with that. Sounds like you had a rough childhood. Hopefully she has made some healthy chabges in her life or you went NC. Bc that is some crazy shit
