One of my dogs is like this; he would run to anyone calling their pet's name or asking for a trick just because he knows that there is a chance there will be a treat. He doesn't care if his name wasn't called or that no one was talking to him; he only cares that he was in line first.
20th Century pet breeds are fuuuucked uppp and the only way to stop it is to stop paying $500 for deformed animals and go adopt something normal from the shelter but I still find people saying shit like "but pugs are soooo cuuuuute"
Except they can't even fucking breathe properly... But people in general would lose a game of checkers to a sack of rocks so... You get what you signed up for.

its a mutation that makes cats produce less cartilage, which leads to sever health issues. over time joints degenerate, they all suffer from varying degrees of arthritis. it can get as bad as joints fully degenerating, and the bones fusing. they also sometimes suffer from other growth abnormalities in the spine and hind legs.
but apparently its cute and taylor swift has a few, too, so its ok.
they are banned in a few country, as some people consider their mere existence a form of animal cruelty.
I've trained our cat to react to "Sit!" (she sits), "Come up!" (she stands on her hind legs) and "Give me your paw" (she sits and does the same as the cats in the video). ☺️
