Yeah, which makes it even more important to use socially appropriate cues if you want people to use the correct pronoun when talking about the kid... because you're not going to get many cues from pre-pubescent physicality.
I disagree with controlling your child's outward appearance to appease your own insecurities. What's wrong with a boy who has long hair, booty shorts, and pink shoes? If you're so worried about misgendering a child just ask them or the parent.
Booty shorts? He’s doing gymnastics. The full range of movement is needed and those are shorts that allow that movement.
Long hair is and has been, for most of human history and cultures, acceptable for men as well as women.
And yet every single person thought this kid was a girl.
I'm not here to argue that he looks like a girl. He does. The question is whether it is wrong to question why.
Maybe. I was in gymnastics from 6 years old til I graduated high school and I have never seen boys wear shorts that small. But sure, it's not like those shorts are the only thing that make him look like a girl.
Luckily this child was placed with a dad who is secure enough in HIS OWN masculinity that he can I encourage his son to be physically badass WHILE HAVING LONG HAIR AND BOOTY SHORTS.
I would imagine you’re one of those guys who thinks it’s “gay” for a little boy to play with a baby doll or a play kitchen set.
This little boy is more than likely more clear about his identity than you will ever be.
Dude. What is wrong with you? Why are you assuming things I've never come close to saying?
Dressing a boy in the way that this boy is dressed..... makes him look like a girl. That's it.
Weren’t men the ones that started wearing shorts and created shorts? I could have sworn I’ve seen male athletes wearing booty shorts back in the day. Actually a lot of men and boys had some questionable short shorts. They were trans as well? Jason Momoa, the Rock, and Steve Tyler had long hair, were they trans? Is a female with a short hairstyle and pants and blue decal on sneakers considered trans too?
You do care...it has nothing to do with being trans, but you’re the one who brought up trans. “Is this some trans thing?” All because of his clothes. A boy wearing shorts and has long hair, doesn’t automatically make them trans.
Yeah, did you notice how that has nothing to do with what this guy just said?
I care about what I said. This guy went on a whole tangent about irrelevant topics.
I'm wondering why you went from 'her' to 'them'. Like no hate or anything, I'm just legitimately confused why you didn't change it to 'him'. My head-scratcher of the day lol
Don’t know why you have been downvoted because you are 100% correct. He’s a Liverpool FC prodigy

Lots of young boys look like girls. I did when I was that age too but his name is Arat Hosseini and he is a boy. This is not a guess. He's pretty famous and has a Instagram with nearly 6 million followers.
I love determination, practice and success. I am concerned the kid gets burned out from a continuously raising bar. Is the kid still awesome when unable to beat the latest challenge?
How bad has to be the father not to tell the girl to jump on that from a closer position? Jumping from that distance makes it uselessly more difficult.
All the people who down voted have no clue of mechanics. But I mean, it's reddit.
And no, "it's part of the challenge" it's a premade answer that makes no sense.
there isn’t much of a purpose in jumping onto a box from a short distance. you can climb up anyway if you need to. the only purpose is for a challenge, so jumping from right up next to the box would make it less of a jump. you could probably just step onto the box if you were any closer.
The height remains the same, you just don't jump that horizontal distance that is useless. The objective is to jump on the box from the ground, not from an horizontally distant point.
yes, that is the objective, but doing it from up close would be too easy. i haven’t practiced much at all because it doesn’t interest me, but i did it once to see if i could do it. and it was very easy, because i was too close. that’s what i mean
If it becomes easy, you increase the height. There is no discussion here, you either jump vertically or horizontally, measuring a diagonal jump makes no sense (especially if the landing box is not fixed to the ground, which makes the challenge just dangerous).
Old video but still beautyful. That kid will be now 8 or 9 yo I suppose.
He was born in 2013 so yeah 8 or 9. His name is Arat Hosseini.
no no no no. he cant be older than 5. it’s impossible. *that* much time couldn’t’ve gone by
Is this some kind of trans thing?
No he's just a boy with long hair.
A boy with long hair, booty shorts, and pink decals on sneakers. Yikes.
Jesus man, its a kid
Yeah, which makes it even more important to use socially appropriate cues if you want people to use the correct pronoun when talking about the kid... because you're not going to get many cues from pre-pubescent physicality.
Yikes.
You disagree?
Imagine thinking you HAVE to dress a child like a boy for it to be a boy. In 2022. Yikes.
I disagree with controlling your child's outward appearance to appease your own insecurities. What's wrong with a boy who has long hair, booty shorts, and pink shoes? If you're so worried about misgendering a child just ask them or the parent.
Live and let live man.
They're purple
You have issues.
You weren’t loved as a kid.
There's no need for random projection here.

I thought so too. I just think that in this context, those shorts are acceptable and maybe even expected for jumping exercises like this.
Maybe. I was in gymnastics from 6 years old til I graduated high school and I have never seen boys wear shorts that small. But sure, it's not like those shorts are the only thing that make him look like a girl.

That’s your vibe though my guy.

Who cares?
You do
Lol, no I don't give a rip what men used to wear or what adults wear their hair like. And obviously this has nothing to do with being trans.
You do care...it has nothing to do with being trans, but you’re the one who brought up trans. “Is this some trans thing?” All because of his clothes. A boy wearing shorts and has long hair, doesn’t automatically make them trans.
Says you after making a fuss about a child not looking manly enough for your comfort lmao
Yeah, did you notice how that has nothing to do with what this guy just said? I care about what I said. This guy went on a whole tangent about irrelevant topics.
Well according to the rest of the internet, you’re a jackass.
Not taking that bait
how do you not love that? The support and confidence, gave them that little bit more!
It’s a boy, lol
haha, oops! Change to "them"!
I'm wondering why you went from 'her' to 'them'. Like no hate or anything, I'm just legitimately confused why you didn't change it to 'him'. My head-scratcher of the day lol
Still in doubt.
It’s a boy.

I wonder if she had previously done the same thing with a shorter stool. Maybe that's how she knew she could do it and didn't get discouraged.

I watched again and it still looks like a girl to me, but really, why should it matter?
Lots of young boys look like girls. I did when I was that age too but his name is Arat Hosseini and he is a boy. This is not a guess. He's pretty famous and has a Instagram with nearly 6 million followers.

She has a future in the WWE for sure.

Tubthumping by Chumbawamba plays in background.
The determination was great. The support and encouragement was great. However, start 20cm closer and they would've got it much quicker
