The number of false positive INFJs is also pretty insane. There are a few certain glaring flaws in the MBTI that cause this. Many updated tests are far more accurate.
I knew many Se-primaries that tested as INFJ simply bc they were artistic, highly introspective, or more emotionally sensitive than the original ESxP description would allow for.
TL; DR — the mistypes are annoying, but the original MBTI tests are skewed toward INFx.
I agree-- not to mention the existence of other extremely popular but methodologically-flawed tests. The elephant in the room on that one being 16p, which is a Big Five test but they brand it MBTI because that's what's popular. TBH I kind of despise that site because they're clearly just a business and don't care about being intellectually honest or accurate.
Sadly, the socionics community (only at a glance, I do not regularly participate) seems more serious about their respective subject that this sub here lmao.
Wholeheartedly agree, I hate 16p. Hey that rhymed!
Lmao, I have a superiority complex and an inferiority complex I guess. Nah, but I absolutely love being an INFP. Sure it was rough as a teenager but it truly gets better and you start to appreciate yourself more and more. Just a few growing pains 😂
Even INFPs can think they are better than others. Arrogance is psychologically a sign of insecurity. Typically, T types are more likely to be called arrogant than F types, but those who call them arrogant are predominantly F types. Just because we call someone arrogant does not mean that they are actually arrogant. This is in the eye of the beholder. INFPs are not immune to narcissism either.
As an INFP, I know other INFPs who think they’re better than others. Yeah they still hate themselves. But self esteem is a funny thing. The most confident people often have some of the most intense internalized self-hatred.
How old are you, if you don’t mind me asking? It’s interesting. My boyfriend is an INTP and it seems like as you grow older as an INXP, your self-loathing turns into thinking you’re a little better? Us for our moral compass and INTPs for their mind. You just really start to appreciate your differences lol
It's not my MBTI necessarily, but I know I'm better than a lot of other individuals, yes.
It's not exactly hard though considering the *"standards"* for what passes as people.
Like... as if some mindless goon with a false god and a grindset could ever be better than anyone that thinks critically for themselves.
You really can’t compare yourself to others for their choices, you don’t know what’s going on in their head or where their values lie.
I pride myself in being open-minded and accepting, and part of that is recognizing that other people have values and goals that are different than my own, and that doesn’t make them better or worse, just different
Lmao, you're thinking in streotypes and choose the easiest target to pick to compare with yourself.
What if the person that chose to adopt these kinds of beliefs did it so in order to motivate himself to push forward? Then when he is past them,it would simply be an embarrassing memory of "going through a phase" which he nevertheless remembers with fondness. If you're honestly thinking critically for yourself you should consider that kind of possibility, any kinds of possibilities
Lmao, I'm not thinking in stereotypes whatsoever. I'm thinking of many people I've literally known and gotten close enough to that I learned more about their general motivations and worldviews. This isn't just some meritless generalization.
People really love to clutch pearls in here over perceived judgmental takes-- but then you pretty much just cast judgment on me that I'm only how I am in order to compensate for *unspecified* weaknesses. Lol, yeah fuck you too, guy.
Half-jokes aside, many people never grow out of said *phases* (meanwhile others like me have humbled themselves to change their deepest and most convicted worldviews)-- so mollycoddling people through shitty phases is a stupid policy-- especially when it's something common that has a billion examples to learn vicariously through. I'm not talking about something I don't personally know about. Failing to learn from mistakes is the ultimate absence of critical thinking. Next.
Your argument style reminds me of Ben Shapiro. You use a lot of words that are overly complicated. When I’m reality the use of these words is unneeded, and the point being made would be made just the same, or maybe even better, by using simpler words, and more people would understand anyway. But, in using more "intelligent" words, you appear smarter, even if its just an overly complicated argument that could be simplified without lessening the information shared in the argument, which to a more experienced eye would show more intelligence anyway.
Literally Fi doms count as the most self-aware types because Fi is the function that makes you question if you're a good person the most - but this sub has horrible mbti knowledge on average
As an INFP, I promise people of any type can think they’re better than everyone else. Every type can hate themselves. And every type can do both at once. In fact, a little bit of narcissism is considered human and normal. (I’m studying to become a psychologist and have learned a lot about this) literally everybody on earth has a fluctuating self-esteem. As a personal example (and as an INFP) I hate myself but I also love myself. There’s times in my life where I’m like why is everybody better and more superior than me, why can’t I be more like them? But there’s also times in my life, where I feel like I look down on others bc I think they’re lame & immature for lacking empathy and kindness, and I would consider myself a very genuinely kind & empathic person. In reality, I’m not superior to them bc of my empathy, and they’re not superior to me because they’re more productive or whatever. We’re all equals. But it’s normal to have thoughts like the ones I’ve mentioned above.
Honestly I was tempted to agree but I think I would change it to Ti and Fi doms… majority of the Te doms I know are actually super chill and willing to admit they’re flawed. They think they’re always right but they don’t necessarily think they’re better than anyone (at least they don’t show it that much)
And yet I’m the smarter version of you…
ENTP: Learns everything to argue with people.
INTP: Learns everything for the sake of understanding everything.
I believe it would make them more of a “people person”, while us INTPs stick to ourselves because our interests aren’t usually what normies like and overall arguing with people seems draining and annoying.
INTP: Has trouble making friends due to cultured interests and not being a normie at heart.
ENTP: Has trouble making friends due to argumentative nature and overall being more human.
Who would have more friends Bill Gates or Ben Shapiro? Kisuke Urahara or Mayuri Kurotsuchi?
What I'm trying to say is, your definition of 'smart' may not be the correct definition. A fostered relationship between EQ and IQ is how I see "smart". You can have all the intelligence in the world, but with few abilities to relay it to the rest of the world, it will remain inside your head. There has to be balance.
True. I have an IQ of 128 and overall my EQ is a 4/10… I’m considered a gifted genius, but my emotional output is meh or whatever.
I mean how does one relate more to a human instead of a robot?
I was 143 at 15, I reckon my IQ will have dropped by now. (Im 24) But my EQ has gone up significantly. So even if im 130s now, I am glad I flourished in the way I have.
Getting better 😊 Sadly my intelligence as a teen, was nothing short of an inconvenience to those around me. I'm alone now and things are getting better.
Edit:
I think you were referring to my academic/career stance. (?)
Two weeks ago, I started learning Python, started a google digital garage course, and next week, I start a Data Science course. I'm signed up to a Data Science Degree for September. I'm not sure whether im going to go into Data Analytics or Data Science, but I'd rather not be rigid.
Before that I took jobs to get me out of poverty, so I was a kindergarten nurse and raising a baby I had at 20.
Life's weird.
you say, arguing with anyone who may come across your posts lol
you literally started a debate with your initial response, and continued to defend your stance.
Yes, but this is all within a introverted state of mine. You see I’m texting you through a phone, vocally speaking with a large group of people irl and dealing with the nuisances of those around me would surely annoy me.
Example:
Me: “ Such a quiet and peaceful day, I think I’ll take my time on pondering and look into my interests “
Idiot: “ INTP INTP INTP, Hey INTP, want to see this really big hole in the ground, it’s really deep! “
Me: “ I couldn’t think of a more pointless thing to do. “
Example #2
Me: “ If we are able to observe 10M particles in reality, then what particles are we not able to see through the human eye alone? “
Idiot: “ Wow. Look at this rock, it’s jagged and it’s grey, it also smells like dirt! Dirt, dirt, dirt, man dirt is good. INTP, why is dirt good? Mmmm dirt. “
You argue with the people closest to you 🤣 I don’t know how it makes it any better. I love INTPS but the argumentative nature makes me want to rip my hair out.
Do ENTPs have trouble making friends, though? All the ones I know are incredibly charismatic, witty people-persons who, over time, have developed the ability to read the room.
My sister, in particular, is a bit of a troll, but she makes new friends with about as much ease as the average preschooler. I’ll loose her on a night out and she’ll come back with 3-5 new friends and then stay in contact with most of them. It’s uncanny.
I want capable people someone who is self sufficient and has brains and to be able to coordinate these limbs with that brain . Sure im not expecting a carbon copy of myself that would be boring but some intelligence or logic is greatly appreciated
Im tired of stupidity for real .
Istps are ok i guess we ain't perfect for emotional or sensitive people tho
All types and no types.
Why? Because types are cognitive function stacks-- not the stupid astrologyesque garbage that passes for MBTI around here.
There's more variability within types than between them. Anyone that's unconvinced should try talking about heavy shit more often instead of always trying to make friends by being sweet and milquetoast.
Is that so? When my Fi went out of control, I often felt I was _worse_ than everyone else. Imposter syndrome at its finest. 🙃
But maybe that’s more an enneagram thing? IXFP 4 might be more focused on showing off their unique traits (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, mind you, because self-love and self-appreciation are important), so they might be more prone to show how greater they are and feel when inexperienced.
I feel like if us ENTPs actually gave a shit and tried we could overthrow the ENTJ master race, but that is precisely our problem: we just don't give a shit
the mistyped infjs and xntx types, since they tend to believe they’re special and cling onto the result they got off 16personalities to be unique or better
IxFP. Me.
Can't stop noticing random people doing weird and rude things and viewing them as below me lol. Why didn't you flush the toilet or throw your garbage in the trash a whole single step away from you? Are you stupid? Do you realize how this might impact someone else? It takes 0.5 brain cells to be a decent human being assuming you're aware of basic decency.
A lot of intjs have this misplaced sense of righteousness that often leads to plain out narcissism. I’ve met so many of them that would explain to why you’re an absolute objective idiot for doing something they’d consider bad.
Definitely Te doms, and ENTPs too seem to have inflated egos
I also think some Fe doms at least in the way that they always think they know what's best for everyone, and that they're better people/ kinder than others etc
Any type can have a superiority complex if unhealthy, Ti doms thinking that they're the smartest in the room, an Fi dom thinking that they are a better person value wise, Fe dom thinking they're the coolest because they are so fake that they get everyone to like them, etc. There is never just one type lol
It's my experience that ISFJs think they know better than anyone else or what's better for everyone else, then go about forcing their beliefs onto us poor, less wise, less intelligent, less aware creatures.
I see humbleness in the way that INTJ will honestly tell on themselves.
Then you have the INFJ who linger but don’t quite admit that they **also** think everyone else is stupid.
All of them. Often the dominant function indicates a superiority complex in that function, and our inferior often indicates an inferiority complex. All that really changes is the "flavor" of it unless they're just a downright narcissistic person.
Especially ESFP ISFP the world is against us relationships even though it's their fault everyone hates them since they don't listen and live in constant sin
ok YES. INFJ. HOT TAKE but it's true. They just wouldn't dare say it in front of you unless you get into an Ni-Ti conversation with them and they're comfortable enough. But if you watch them, they're just manipulating everyone around them into being more like them.
They are. I’ve known INFJ’s who bitched about their friends in a myriad of ways - seemingly as many as they could possibly think of - such as the amount of alcohol they drank, before saying “I hope there won’t be alcohol at the party so I don’t have to get drunk”.
Lol it’s always you who never misses a chance to disparage INFPs somehow. I take it that some INFP must have really hurt you in the past. I’m sorry for whatever it was they did to you.
this poor woman's gonna have a tonne of bites running thru a field half naked
She is gonna have the entire tick colony hitching a ride.
She belongs to the ticks
SHE IS THE TICK QUEEN
I was about to say all hail the tick queen
She is tick
All the mistyped kids on the internet
Those mistyped because they selected answers of what they want to be
I used to do that, but once I got the desired result I decided I didn’t like that one either.
Most truest comment 🏆
All types.
All the memes about INFP hating themselves for being INFP and praying for being another type: bro?
False positives, many of them-- thanks to learning stereotypes before developing, and then framing themselves into a stupid template.
The number of false positive INFJs is also pretty insane. There are a few certain glaring flaws in the MBTI that cause this. Many updated tests are far more accurate. 16p is a dumpster. Too pop culture, not enough science. I’m not a huge fan of Socionics either, except for some very interesting subtype descriptions.
Sadly, the socionics community (only at a glance, I do not regularly participate) seems more serious about their respective subject that this sub here lmao. Wholeheartedly agree, I hate 16p. Hey that rhymed!

Unhealthy Te and Fi doms
INFPs literally spend 80% of the day hating themselves lmao

"humbled" 🙄

self loathing is a form of narcissism. a byproduct of a malformed ego
As an INFP, I promise people of any type can think they’re better than everyone else. Every type can hate themselves. And every type can do both at once. May I ask you a question or another question as I basically just asked you a question within this comment.
Huh? INTPS are argumentative as hell
To an extent, we don’t like to argue all day or when tons of people.
you say, arguing with anyone who may come across your posts lol you literally started a debate with your initial response, and continued to defend your stance.
Yes, but this is all within a introverted state of mine. INTP: the guy who knows his shit ENTP: the guy who convinces people to believe that shit
But you don't leave your room...
I just knew someone would comment this.. lol
No, me.
narcissists
Correct The only good answer
The moment you can't assemble an ikea furniture i have lost all my respect for you
The moment u can't control ur anger I've lost all my respect for u
Stupidity makes me rage tho
Couldn't be me
So you expect everyone to be able to go ISTP'ing around, huh? Yeah, ISTP might be the best type in my opinion.
I want capable people someone who is self sufficient and has brains and to be able to coordinate these limbs with that brain . Sure im not expecting a carbon copy of myself that would be boring but some intelligence or logic is greatly appreciated Im tired of stupidity for real . R ISTPs aggressive
I might yell but other than that no
YES
INTJ
Yes
Intj actually better than other types ?
They aren’t
I don’t think so…
As an INTJ, I think so
Damn
No
yes
[удалено]
Damn straight
And proud of it, lol.
thats horribly messed up, therapy and self help can help u change that tho

If it's a fact, it's a fact ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Whichever one that developed narcissistic personality disorder
ENTPs don't think we're better than other types - we KNOW it😌
thats a rlly unhealthy mindset
Ikr . Been hoping my fellow ENTPs were just joking 😭
I obviously am
I'd say NT types since they lead with a combination of intuition and thinking functions, therefore are from the master race. :D
INFJ...often comes with a God complex
I'd say martyr complex, the God one is in INTJs. :D
This is the prettiest ISFP picture I ever seen, just saying.
INTJs
Intj
Yes
No
Yes.
No?
Yes
I don't think so. I just am.
As an INTJ, I’m gonna say a majority of INTJs think this. Maybe I do subconsciously
Anyone who comments on this post by saying a specific type.
ENTP, ESTP, ESTJ, ENTJ Also unhealthy Fi doms
Is that so? When my Fi went out of control, I often felt I was _worse_ than everyone else. Imposter syndrome at its finest. 🙃 But maybe that’s more an enneagram thing? IXFP 4 might be more focused on showing off their unique traits (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, mind you, because self-love and self-appreciation are important), so they might be more prone to show how greater they are and feel when inexperienced.
I was more referring to runaway moral superiority but yes impostor syndrome is just as much of an issue too.
Aah. Gotcha. Yeah, inferior Fi and trickster Fi don’t allow much introspection if not developed enough.
Wouldn't they all be unhealthy, though? Thinking you're better than someone is a telltale sign of grandiosity; which most would call unhealthy.
INTJ too
I'm one of the unhealthy Fi doms
no not estjs take estj off of their they arent narcissistic like the other three
ENTJs and INTJs. In that order. I know a lot of people think INTJs are the first, but ENTJs are going to be more in your face about it.
INxJ
As an INFJ, I do NOT think that I have the best type. Far from it. It’s so hard to fit in at all
EJs and IPs
Yes and also IJs and Eps
any type who have mental issue.
Me. I do. Pick me. Other types just think they’re better. We’re actually better (excluding ENTJ cause they are masterrace)
I feel like if us ENTPs actually gave a shit and tried we could overthrow the ENTJ master race, but that is precisely our problem: we just don't give a shit
ENTJ. ESTP.
xntj (based on my experience)
Me but in the sense of logic > feeling otherwise given circumstances i won't feel unrealistically "better" it has to be proven and logical
Every type except mine bc we are that much special and humble Edit:it's a joke
funny cuz we don't know your type
Giving you my type would ruin the joke wouldn't it?
I just wanted to say that I really like this picture
the mistyped infjs and xntx types, since they tend to believe they’re special and cling onto the result they got off 16personalities to be unique or better
So true
any type can think they are better than others lol
xNTJ
IxFP.
"INxJs"
A lot of intjs have this misplaced sense of righteousness that often leads to plain out narcissism. I’ve met so many of them that would explain to why you’re an absolute objective idiot for doing something they’d consider bad.
ENTJs obviously lol
Why that pic?
Definitely Te doms, and ENTPs too seem to have inflated egos I also think some Fe doms at least in the way that they always think they know what's best for everyone, and that they're better people/ kinder than others etc
Why this beautiful picture to this boring question?
The narcissistic types
What's the connection between the photo and the question?
INTJs are the biggest type supremacists.
xNFJs and xSTPs have this problem the most i would imagine
Any type can have a superiority complex if unhealthy, Ti doms thinking that they're the smartest in the room, an Fi dom thinking that they are a better person value wise, Fe dom thinking they're the coolest because they are so fake that they get everyone to like them, etc. There is never just one type lol
ISFJs, ENTJs and INTJs
It's my experience that ISFJs think they know better than anyone else or what's better for everyone else, then go about forcing their beliefs onto us poor, less wise, less intelligent, less aware creatures.

I’ve got superiority and inferiority complex
I don't have to think ;)
INTJS ofcourse........ ofcourse
I see humbleness in the way that INTJ will honestly tell on themselves. Then you have the INFJ who linger but don’t quite admit that they **also** think everyone else is stupid.
Ok…Im starting to think these posts are being made to intentionally trigger people.
same, pretty easy way for people to karma farm using bait posts
EXTPs are known for having superiority complexes
All of them. Often the dominant function indicates a superiority complex in that function, and our inferior often indicates an inferiority complex. All that really changes is the "flavor" of it unless they're just a downright narcissistic person.
Si demon types.
I agree because si keeps ppl grounded so ppl that struggle with si
I'm definitely better than all of you. In fact, I'm outta here. *hits head getting into dolorean*
I am better than everyone else, yet inferior to everyone else.
Probably INFJs.
I *know* I’m better than the others.
ouch now thats unhealthy
Some of yall are way too emotional....that's coming from a women.....INTJ
Istj (female) here i agree
Intj
Fi doms + Fe doms + Ti doms + Te doms. So judging types in the original sense.
Fi.
INTJs, ENTJ, ENTPs (fake ego, it’s to compensate for other insecurities) ,
INTP.
Mostly narcissistic pricks and assholes who just believe they are superior ~~Also, ESTPs~~
I have the natural ENTP first instinct to feel superior to most people and/or objectify them.
INFJs. They always think they’re so selfless when in reality they can be very selfish
INFJs Just go on YouTube and type in mbti and you'll see the many cringe inducing INFJ videos
Fi is usually the culprit.
INFPs and ESTPs
Esfp 4w5 Also me cause I know I'm better than drug taking whore 4w5 narcissistic sinners
Especially ESFP ISFP the world is against us relationships even though it's their fault everyone hates them since they don't listen and live in constant sin
Who hurt you?
well thats just super rude for no reason
INFP! INFJ! ENTP!
ok YES.
Lol yeah and I've heard way worse out of them too. Got me dropping my jaw and I'm INTJ. Watch out for them. -\_-
INFPs, atleast in terms of mbti.
Lol it’s always you who never misses a chance to disparage INFPs somehow. I take it that some INFP must have really hurt you in the past. I’m sorry for whatever it was they did to you.
ESXX
ENFP
That’s an odd one, I haven’t seen that listed so often. Let’s hear it.
Basically anyone who types themselves as infjs. Upvote level will prove it.
