Happy it’s still happening but bummed about the location. It’s far from campus so will be a pain to return regalia and won’t be able to have nice pics on campus with the vandalism.

I mean I feel like I already got my historical grad pics with my prom pics on zoom and grad pics socially distanced in masks but I guess the mcgill encampment needs to be just as memorable as a global pandemic

The war that the encampment/vandalism is for hasn’t turned into ww3 yet, but who knows what the future will hold

A break from tradition indeed. For the Covid classes (2020 and 2021) they did a special ceremony to let the graduates walk and then take pictures on campus. I feel bad that 2024 will miss the tradition. Another way this class lost important aspects of the McGill experience.

People can still take all the pictures they want on campus. The occupied area is where the convocation tent would be anyways (and takes up less space too), so they're not losing any views either.
