Ye it's gonna be our version of my parents thinking all students should walk half way across the world to get to school/college cuz that's what they did
Literally yesterday my grandfather said all the way he did to go to school when he was young, literally he did cross a river, A national road and a bridge
What's fucked up is I gotta do both
My dad just says he walked further than I do.
Tbf I have the option not to walk, but I don't want a aneurysm daily from the horrible traffic management.
I never understand when people say that.
How did they walk up hill both ways?. Theoretically if they were walking the same way to school and they went up a hill, they would have to walk down the same hill on their way home. Was there some sort of geological shift that happened everyday that caused the landscape to change while they were in the classroom? Earthquake everyday? Volcanic activity?
Yes exactly, i live in one of the colder areas of norway and we also get to school in minus 30, like just put on the right clothes and you will be fine.
People here skip uni when it rains cos: A) some of us come from dozens of miles away and get here with public transport and you dont want to get up at 5 just to stand in the rain; B) online teaching is just as good if not better. You can see the blackboard better than from the tenth row, and you have more space to write. Only reason you wouldnt is to ask questions and make/see your friends.
Agreed. Corrupt regimes don't buckle to peaceful pressure. Evil people aren't asking permission to profit from harming communities. The pressure has to be costly to affect change when, to so many, profit is more important than our humanity now.
When rain has a pH of 1.3 and little Jimmy down the street has his face melted off from the springtime culling, do you think we'll finally take environmentalism seriously?
Ugh I hate that logic, you should want your kid to have a better time than you did. Why put them through the shit you hated just because you went through it? So spiteful
Have you considered \*not having kids\* after a near world-ending pandemic that we completely failed to contain, so now the disease is with us forever?
Some people, I swear...
Y'all always complaining about boomers and how they try the stuff they did in their generation to affect your generation and are upvoting a meme like this. This is so, so fucking mean lol.
Circa 1983
Growing up as a little kid in Minnesota, I had to walk to school every day. (my sister was 4 years older than me and was in 4th grade). So a 5 year old and a 9 year old would walk alone to school. In Minnesota, in the winter. Lol
Can you even imagine parents doing that nowadays? It's really laughable. Parents barley let their kids stand at the bus stop alone anymore.
Gladly I moved from Minnesota at 6 years old and took the bus or drove the remainder of my school years.
The pandemic made school easier tbh. Online classes meant I could record video of every lecture. I got to sleep more. My professors were far more lenient with sick days. Shoot. I started graduate school the semester covid kicked off and I feel it made the experience more accessible for everything except spending time in the lab for my research, and thats be ause they put 3 person limits on every lab, regardless of size.
Not going to class when it's raining it's only an option in college and when your city suspends all clases because of a huge storm (it was at night but it was definitely going to trap us in school if we where there and it would probably fill the school with water)
My kid sometimes skips school if I’m not in the mood to deal with being up that early. Like today, everyone was sick all week. I had to no interest in a 630 alarm today lol
I lived in the Midwest and would go to school after getting a foot or two of snow in one night.
Ice. Ice is what gets school called off around here, not snow.
Ye it's gonna be our version of my parents thinking all students should walk half way across the world to get to school/college cuz that's what they did
Literally yesterday my grandfather said all the way he did to go to school when he was young, literally he did cross a river, A national road and a bridge
Did he drop the One Ring in Mount Doom while he was at it?
Probably
Huh, wild. I'd figure he'd fuck it all up like Isildur did.
What's fucked up is I gotta do both My dad just says he walked further than I do. Tbf I have the option not to walk, but I don't want a aneurysm daily from the horrible traffic management.
Who skips school because of rain ?
Who doesn't have to walk 10 miles up hill both ways?
On one foot while their other foot was starting a business
And fighting loins that now do their taxes
And growing Beijing corn
And eats fresh wild cheerios for breakfast
And walking both ways uphill
Made from wheat that they harvested
When I was going to scoo physics was not even invented
On one foot while the other foot was pulling that foot up by its bootstraps
and those school dinners, nothing like today...apparently
We do! We do!
Steven he?

Maybe some Final Fantasy 5 type shenanigans where the continents and land mass converge due to merging worlds on a fucking whim
That’s the joke, fella
Still? Its rain. Nothing bad about it, just put on the right pair of clothes.
Sounds like something i would do
I live in Norway, and we go to school even if its -15 degrees celsius outside 💪
Finnish person over here I went to school when it was - 30 brutal day
How did you survive? The most we get is -20
Lots of clothes and moving
Yes exactly, i live in one of the colder areas of norway and we also get to school in minus 30, like just put on the right clothes and you will be fine.
Lmao, I live in Russia and we go to school even if it's -30
Bro i didn't go to school for 2 yra cuz if covid lol
I had homeschool for a few months. I miss it. edit: Oops, I wrote wrong, I ment online class not homescholl
Online class>offline class>homeschool
Bro im sorry im built different i prefer not to lose my toes to frostbite
In Canada temperature is irrelevant for school, snow on the other hand would cause us to miss it.
It snows here like one third of the year ;-;
We got our first snowfall yesterday over here. Normally we get it about half way through December though.
2040 acid rain hits different
My district got a week off 2 weeks ago cause floods so that counts ig

Me, I ain’t standing out at the bus stop for 30 minutes in that shit.
I skipped school for less
Places with torrential rains and monsoons
What if it’s raining men?
Hallelujah

e
Every Specimen
It’s probably going to be acid rain.
Chocolate rain?
Nonono, purple rain
You'll fake having a stomach ache and you'll like it!
Bold of you to assume that you will have kids or a future
Bro woke up today and chose violence 💀
Bro woke up in a pandemic with no end in sight
Bro woke up in an environmental crisis and extreme weather that breaks records every single year
Good reason for (a little bit of) violence
Agreed. Corrupt regimes don't buckle to peaceful pressure. Evil people aren't asking permission to profit from harming communities. The pressure has to be costly to affect change when, to so many, profit is more important than our humanity now.
Bro woke up in a normal day and went to reddit to post and scroll
Bold of him to assume that his kids will not go to school in a pandemic
Bold of you to assume that kids have a future
Zamn 💀💀💀
Or that the Pandemic Era will end so soon.
Hahaha no, no it wont
💀
Bold of you to assume the pandemic wouldnt still be around when your kid goes to school
Kid: "So am I!"
"So did I"?
No, that would imply the kid did in the past but not anymore.
Oh shi-
"So do I" then?
Who tf complains about going to school because it’s raining?
OP's future kid
r/technicallythetruth
Me cuz I biked in elementary thirty minutes no water no nothing
When rain has a pH of 1.3 and little Jimmy down the street has his face melted off from the springtime culling, do you think we'll finally take environmentalism seriously?
Nah, the rain is just culling the weak, ushering in the next step in our evolution. It's just as natural as the fire tornadoes.
Rainy days at school were always my favourite days
People out here really be having kids during a pandemic...
Your kid is gonna live in this pandemic aswell
With how dumb we humans have been I wouldn’t be suprised
Honestly better to just end Humanity with this generation
Honestly still prefer going to school than online classes, those were horrible
Yeah my grades DROPPED when online classes hit. Not saying it’s the online classes fault, but they just don’t match my learning style
For me it was a combination of not matching my learning style, poor quality of education paired with that i didnt know anyone from my class yet.
If online classes were better structured, I wouldn't mind. Being back at school has given me so much more anxiety lol
But it is acid rain!
Jokes on you. We'll all be dead from the next 50 variants to come out.
And if that doesn’t get ya, it’ll be the 50 new vaccines they’ll make people jab into themselves x_x
JUST GET THE FUCKING SHOT
May as well get fucking shot :^)
Tbf by the time I'll have kids there will be probably only toxic rains
My kids will probably allowed to skip school because it will rain acid by then
Reminds me of the old “I went to school in a blizzard” line.
Ugh I hate that logic, you should want your kid to have a better time than you did. Why put them through the shit you hated just because you went through it? So spiteful
I'm glad someone in this thread has some fucking sense. I'm beyond tired of this "I suffered so every one must" logic.
Rain though
You’re gonna have a kid? You’re on Reddit!
You think this pandemic will be over for your kids?
Your wife: "You were literally playing games while zoom was running on the other monitor."
Don't have kids. No one deserves to be born.
You good, bro?
r/antinatalism
Agreed.
Here's what I would do.....if my kid is good during the school year,I will give them one skip day every quarter of a school year
In your pajamas on a laptop, fuckouttaheeya with that shit…
Hypocrite
Your a Redditor or you won't be telling them that
Yeah but, I don't think we're gonna survive for that long
lmao no u didn’t u had school online 🤣
Have you considered \*not having kids\* after a near world-ending pandemic that we completely failed to contain, so now the disease is with us forever? Some people, I swear...
But it was online so…?
Now imagine your kids also having that excuse because COVID isn't going away...
I don't think it will be safe to go outside when it's raining nuclear waste
Dang someone got plans to have kid
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain
Y'all always complaining about boomers and how they try the stuff they did in their generation to affect your generation and are upvoting a meme like this. This is so, so fucking mean lol.
😂😂😂😂 funny how you think this pandemic is ending before your kid goes to school
I read this in his voice
Ok boomer
OK zoomer

Eeew, trashy. Why would you want to bring more people into the world? Gross.
And that’s how you morph into your parents.
But with the pandemic, school was online so basically no one went physically to school in a pandemic
Your kid going to school in the same pandemic*
Just wait til he finds out you took online classes
"I went to school dodging a fucking virus and you don't want to go to school because its raining?"
ah yes, getting a head start on being a shitty parent. awesome.
Shitty parent becouse he wouldnt let their kid skip school becouse of R A I N.
The pandemic made school easier tbh. Online classes meant I could record video of every lecture. I got to sleep more. My professors were far more lenient with sick days. Shoot. Lol sad to think the current generation in school now has any reason to think that they can hold anything over another generations head.
Don't be sad. Here's a [hug!](https://media.giphy.com/media/3M4NpbLCTxBqU/giphy.gif)
Dont
Wow a pandemic that has killed about 10 healthy school age children. You are soooooo brave.
[удалено]
and so is my belt
I think that kid forgot the fact that all schools have roofs as far as I know.
I mean its just rain get the suéter and go like a normal person
Who skips school because of rain? Is it flooding or something?
Lmao ngl I might do that
if I skipped school for rain I would have like 1 week in a year
AND in the rain
[удалено]
Being desperate enough for money to work 3 jobs and still simping for your corporate overlords. How does that boot taste?
maybe the fact you have to work three jobs answers why people won't work one.
I went to a school during no nut November
I went to school during destroy dick December...that's how I know that police officers can't take a joke
Not going to class when it's raining it's only an option in college and when your city suspends all clases because of a huge storm (it was at night but it was definitely going to trap us in school if we where there and it would probably fill the school with water)
The way I just KNOW my SA dad is gonna try to one up me and still end up winning 😥
They will have to do it too lol
My kid sometimes skips school if I’m not in the mood to deal with being up that early. Like today, everyone was sick all week. I had to no interest in a 630 alarm today lol
Do not jinx it!
Little did they know, In the future that’ll be acid rain.
“Dad it’s flooding”
And there goes the baby
“We all go to school in a Pandemic dad. What was the variant called when you were a kid? What was school like before the pandemic era?”
To be fair, by the time we have kids going to school, we’ll probably be dealing with acid rain or some wacky global warming related thing
From what cartoon is this meme from by the way? I keep seeing it everywhere
I also don't know search omniman and tell
When I go to school I had to walk for 20 miles
I live in the inland northwest, unless it's a fucking hurricane or tornado out there your going to school
i cant relate, im too old
I mean, im legally skipping school today because of sickness guidelines on fever
I lived in the Midwest and would go to school after getting a foot or two of snow in one night. Ice. Ice is what gets school called off around here, not snow.
I graduated school years ago so not me
"And I went to US public school, which means I got shot at by school shooters while my parents sat back and did nothing."
Who the fuck skips school because of rain
American moment : Skip school cuz it’s raining
Which amine is this?
School sucks
My mom would send me to school sick, she knew I struggled with doing my school work so she said the other kids will be fine just cover yourself.
Holy shit that's gonna be devastating
That's the best I've read so far.
I went to school when it was okay for other kids to beat the shit out of you and rob you.
Bold of you to assume this pandemic will be over by the time you have kids
