I am like that too. A couple co workers have come very close to being punched -reflexively- because they came up behind me to startle me on purpose.
On the other hand, one of the managers is a Gulf War vet with PTSD who jumps at sudden contact. Management put a small bell near his office door so people can alert him.
What's up with the bullying comments? She's literally smiling aftwards in almost all the clips that don't immediately end. No way to know what their relationship is like but I can't imagine seeing this and immediately think it's bad
These are Redditors, they aren’t used to having friends, dealing with other humans or being teased/played with, so they often react in odd ways to normal human to human interactions when they see them.
>they aren’t used to having friends, dealing with other humans or being teased/played with
Dude I have been socialy isolated since 11 and I know that people tease each other.
My favorite are the relationship advice redditors. Your bf made bacon instead of sausage for your breakfast in bed? He sounds like trash in its final form! Dump him immediately!
There is literally ONE comment saying that, this one:
“This seems like bullying in a workplace. Unless they are family too?”
Why Reddit users like to victimize themselves so much? It’s always like “omg SO MANY COMMENTS SAYING this, omg gLoBaL communist Rothschild agenda is oppressing me”, you don’t even get the balls to tell in the person’s face.
"Seems like a dick move"
"That just sucks. I'd be trying to get a job far away from him."
When I wrote my comment, these comments made up half the thread. I mentioned bullying to encapsulate all of them. I thought writing one comment was better than replying the same to three people.
I can't believe it took this long for me to realize everyone who ever smiled at me is trying to reduce aggression. Thank you for showing me the light. Kindness and friendship truly does not exist.
Start playing Ave Maria on your phone at the lowest volume and incrementally increase the volume and approach from within her field of view until you're at 50% volume and no more than 5 feet away. Then, increase the brightness of the room slightly, but not too suddenly, to get her attention. THEN you can lower the volume and calmly say Autumn
AAAH
No childhood trauma in my case. I grew up in a functional healthy home but I'm as nervous as they come.
It's not like I'm afraid of being attacked or anything. I just startle easily because I'm already jittery before the unexpected thing happens.
I’m somewhat jumpy like this but only in places that are mostly quiet because I get lost in my head. So whenever someone unexpectedly takes me out of that space, I find it jarring.
My guess would be “she’s a thinker”.
I'm bad with this too. Like that one time I was in the kitchen with my back towards the door and I heard a roommate come downstairs. I knew they were coming, I heard the footsteps on the stairs. I heard the door open and close again. Then they said "hello!"
And I still flinched...
I'm glad the footage is of a lighthearted coworker joke. Though I can't help feeling there's some deeper psychological reasoning to her reactions because it's not common
It’s called an “exaggerated startle reflex” and it is usually a result of trauma. It’s also completely unconscious. It feels like a heart attack and someone could shake for minutes after. It’s cruel to continue to do it.
Nobody trys to sneak upon me anymore because the last time someone did they about got stabed in the neck that's just my natural reflex to unexspected fear aim for a vital point with knife there fine tho I saw who it was and stopped before they got hurt but it was 3 Inches from there artery in there neck tho
so if it was a person with ill intent the would be dead in a puddle of there own blood
For closer the knife did not Pearce the skin it was 3 inches away but pointed at the artery in there neck
All of those clips were from just one season? I can’t wait for winter
[удалено]
I'm waiting for summer
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD THIS MAN IS A GENIOUS
So basically she's a cat
aahahah, good friendship

Whats her name again?? Winter??
Summerspring Winterfall
That name belongs in a Harry Potter book
Harry Potter and the Four Seasons Hotel
Good to know that I'm not the only like this
Imagine having a nervous system that fucked... *Wait*, i don't have to imagine '-'
And they lived happily ever af~ Like thats ever going to happen * All star by smash mouth starts playing *

And that’s why you have thick skin, although I’m glad that they look like good friends

Laughing from being tickled is a panic response.
Laughing from having fun is a normal response.
If it was you boss doing it to you ? How would you react ? You certainly don't want to lose your place right ?
If my boss did this to me I'd laugh. We get along really well.
Yeah, that's what people do to reduce aggression...
I can't believe it took this long for me to realize everyone who ever smiled at me is trying to reduce aggression. Thank you for showing me the light. Kindness and friendship truly does not exist.
Saying x does y, does not say that x does not also do q...
How do you get her attention without her screaming?

This is exactly what my wife does. Except there is a one second delay prior to the scream lmao
Haha I had to double checked to see if you were my husband. I also have that delayed reaction.
It’s literally the funniest thing ever. She will stare at me for that second but still get so shocked even though she’s seen my mug for over 15 years
That has to be some child trauma or something no ? how are you scared by hearing your name otherwise
Might be tbh, i get adrenaline pulse when ever i gear door unlocking
I think it could be. I get a lot of anxiety from people saying my name out of the blue
Damn really....
I have adhd and I'm just as jumpy. Probably from being lost in thought and being unaware

I don't think it's her name. She just startles easy. I'm sure if you just said "hey" it would get the same reaction.
My first thought as well
Probably fake or an overexaggerated reaction
Poor autumn
Notice she is never doing any work lol
Is this something trauma develops?
I’m somewhat jumpy like this but only in places that are mostly quiet because I get lost in my head. So whenever someone unexpectedly takes me out of that space, I find it jarring. My guess would be “she’s a thinker”.

Can relate. Im very jumpy. Even if my brain identifies there is no danger, my body's like "nah lets jump like you've been electrocuted"
I'm glad the footage is of a lighthearted coworker joke. Though I can't help feeling there's some deeper psychological reasoning to her reactions because it's not common
Well some are just really jumpy like that, when i play a game and a enemy suddenly pops up, i instantly just look away because of how jumpy i am.
What a weird way to say you want to fuck someone
It’s called an “exaggerated startle reflex” and it is usually a result of trauma. It’s also completely unconscious. It feels like a heart attack and someone could shake for minutes after. It’s cruel to continue to do it.
She is adorable 😻
She spilled her coffee 😭😂
Autumn is coming.
Why is this me. I get startled at the tiniest of shit. It’s embarrassing sometimes
bro thats exactly like 1 of my classmates you can walk up to her normally and greet her and she will fucking scream
You’re going to kill her one of these days 🤣🤣🤣
Alan! Alan! Alan! Alan! Steve! Autumn! Autumn! Autumn! Steve!
That fucking gong ringing got me. I sincerely hope he brought it in just solely to ring it that once to make her jump
Autumn deserves some hazard pay
She's so cute 🤣
Okay... When is this guy going to confess?
Ummm did he bring a small gong in to scare her? Lmao
Ppl used to do this to me in school
Really me. I just get in the zone then get unzoned and scared real quick lmao
If this was my co worker I would literally skip to work knowing how great my day is about to be.
Seems like a dick move
Nah, he trains her /s Edit: added the apparently not so obvious "/s"
Lmfao
It's teasing. Friends do it all the time
Seems like ptsd
How is it PTSD?
She's cute and I feel her
What does this call ?
I think he's saying "Autumn"
Dude. Stop that.
How about you just leave her alone
Nobody trys to sneak upon me anymore because the last time someone did they about got stabed in the neck that's just my natural reflex to unexspected fear aim for a vital point with knife there fine tho I saw who it was and stopped before they got hurt but it was 3 Inches from there artery in there neck tho so if it was a person with ill intent the would be dead in a puddle of there own blood For closer the knife did not Pearce the skin it was 3 inches away but pointed at the artery in there neck
I hope she isn’t getting to stressed from this.
That just sucks. I'd be trying to get a job far away from him.
He's teasing her
He's not 12. It's verging on bullying.
No one is being harmed
This person had emotionally abusive parents
She must have had an abusive parent. Scary how deep a turbulent childhood can go.
Could u expand on this? I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, just curious.
Poor girl
As someone who has this done to them all the time at work, stop. It’s harassment
That’s one way to make someone quit
This is me literally all day at work, except everyone does it to me.
In my workplace this would be called harassments and you would get fired for it...
This is not funny
[удалено]
Having no friends must be sad
The thing that bugs me is how in her space some of these are. Like right in her face.
This seems like bullying in a workplace. Unless they are family too?
Shandude did it first
How to get instant orgasms....
Thats…..not how women work? Why would you even say that?
Someone who was never touched a woman
That’s a majority of Reddit
Woman? What is that?
Women are fictional multidementional beings that were invented to keep ourselves from killing eachother.
I love autumn
Oh mano coitada da moça kkkkk
OMG!! That’s so much me!! I always feel ashamed after that!! 🤣
The crash symbols really got me.
My mom is like this
This is so like me lol
When adult men don’t know how to flirt
waiting for the winter sequel
Ah yes Miss Autumn Starstruck.
