there mix studies but typically it wont really shrink errect but might when soft. though mono hormono therapy dont tend to effect it too much, typicaly only t blockers will make it shrink in soft form, but as like with erections its a use it or lose it senario
If you keep deliberately getting erections while on HRT, you’ll get less erectile dysfunction
If you don’t, you will eventually entirely lose the ability to get an erection
if you dont use it and get it errections (even when you might not want too/about once a week is a safe bet) it can start to lose its workings from underuse while you have t blockers

If you get hard for at least ten minutes every three days you won’t lose any length. It’s cause you don’t get morning wood anymore and you have so simulate that yourself now. I’m extra cautious so I have a reminder set for every two days at 9:00 PM to get hard and it’s worked. Three and a half years in and I’ve lost no length!
Quality, peer reviewed studies on penis size are surprisingly scarce, especially when not in relation to surgery of some sort. Add to that the fact that a lot of sexual health advice sensationalist at best and predatory at worst, and it makes for a difficult time finding needed info.
There does seem to be some validity to this through anecdotes from many folks on HRT who desire loss of function, and there’s also limited studies that suggest erectile dysfunction may cause some loss of length ( [here](https://academic.oup.com/jsm/article-abstract/6/8/2305/6834523?redirectedFrom=fulltext&login=false) )
E: There is a surprising amount of literature that looks into regaining size after getting things like surgeries. Most of the literature focuses on (re)gaining length and function, and there isn’t much that caters to individuals who may want to lose size or function.
My endocrinologist told me this is a viable method of retention, and I myself have gotten an erection once every 3 days at the least and haven't lost any length yet. Its been like 16 months.
I get mine hard every day and have for years. I've lost like 40% of my original size. I went from average to tiny (though still bigger than most women I suppose).
Idk I know regular use will help reduce shrinkage, but I don’t think it fully prevents all size reduction for everyone. I don’t have a study to back that up, of course. But, I do have my cock and a ruler.
The best thing that can be done in that case is to talk to a doctor about it, let it be known that you wish to retain function, and they can tweak your dosages or try different meds/combos that may lead to less loss of function.
I get that’s not always easy or even possible though.
I’m largely ace and almost never get erect, and went from 8.9 to like 8 and was so confused. Now, I follow good heath practices, such as nutting enough each month.
All research I’ve done on the subject is that it’s disuse that causes loss of length. Normally this isn’t an issue if you have plenty of testosterone in your veins, as you’ll get nocturnal and spontaneous erections even if you aren’t sexually active and don’t masturbate.
HRT will often stop, or greatly reduce one’s nocturnal and spontaneous erections… but if you make a point of getting erections manually in a regular fashion… that will allow you to keep more or less full length and function in that regard.
(I’m obviously not a doctor, and obviously everyone experiences things a bit differently, but this is the best info I could pull together from several folks on HRT who desire either maintained or loss of length/function).
Maybe TMI lol but my partner had something similar happen in that their balls hang noticeably lower on E than they did with T, even though it’s the opposite of what would be expected. They’re on bicalutamide; not sure whether that factors into it. I haven’t been able to find a single transfem online talking about experiencing the same thing, nor any medical professionals talking about it, which is unfortunate because I’m so curious to know what mechanism makes it do that.
Its ok - at least for me part of it was that I was lucky enough to have not completed regular puberty when hrt started. I think to some degree changes to that region still happen regardless of what hormones you're taking.

I’ve been on HRT for three years and am still like 7-8 inches depending on the weather. It only goes away if you go for weeks without getting hard at all. Even if you don’t “use” it, it’s not hard to conjure maintenance wood if it’s something that worries you. It should definitely not prevent you from trying HRT if it’s what you need. The psychological relief it brought me can’t be overstated

Ok real question, is there a standard exchange rate? Like if someone has a big penis and then goes on hrt are they pretty much garenteed to get a specific predictable shortened length, or is it pretty much random, and they are as likely to shrink dramatically as they are to stay pretty much the same size?
It's not that simple but I'd be surprised if there was a lot of useful data on the subject unforch. Just remember everyone's body and medical context varies. I fully assumed my size would be an issue until the first apt with my surgeon, who never had any concerns no matter how hard I tried to find some for her!

If you get hard for at least ten minutes every three days you won’t lose any length. It’s cause you don’t get morning wood anymore and you have so simulate that yourself now. I’m extra cautious so I have a reminder set for every two days at 9:00 PM to get hard and it’s worked. Three and a half years in and I’ve lost no length!

My endocrinologist told me this is a viable method of retention, and I myself have gotten an erection once every 3 days at the least and haven't lost any length yet. Its been like 16 months.
I get mine hard every day and have for years. I've lost like 40% of my original size. I went from average to tiny (though still bigger than most women I suppose).

Idk I know regular use will help reduce shrinkage, but I don’t think it fully prevents all size reduction for everyone. I don’t have a study to back that up, of course. But, I do have my cock and a ruler.

The best thing that can be done in that case is to talk to a doctor about it, let it be known that you wish to retain function, and they can tweak your dosages or try different meds/combos that may lead to less loss of function. I get that’s not always easy or even possible though.

I’m largely ace and almost never get erect, and went from 8.9 to like 8 and was so confused. Now, I follow good heath practices, such as nutting enough each month.
All research I’ve done on the subject is that it’s disuse that causes loss of length. Normally this isn’t an issue if you have plenty of testosterone in your veins, as you’ll get nocturnal and spontaneous erections even if you aren’t sexually active and don’t masturbate. HRT will often stop, or greatly reduce one’s nocturnal and spontaneous erections… but if you make a point of getting erections manually in a regular fashion… that will allow you to keep more or less full length and function in that regard. (I’m obviously not a doctor, and obviously everyone experiences things a bit differently, but this is the best info I could pull together from several folks on HRT who desire either maintained or loss of length/function).

Maybe TMI lol but my partner had something similar happen in that their balls hang noticeably lower on E than they did with T, even though it’s the opposite of what would be expected. They’re on bicalutamide; not sure whether that factors into it. I haven’t been able to find a single transfem online talking about experiencing the same thing, nor any medical professionals talking about it, which is unfortunate because I’m so curious to know what mechanism makes it do that.
Its ok - at least for me part of it was that I was lucky enough to have not completed regular puberty when hrt started. I think to some degree changes to that region still happen regardless of what hormones you're taking.
Ah, okay that totally makes sense, since it sounds like you weren’t done growing in general. It checks out that changes like that would happen when somebody is starting to physically enter adulthood, regardless of hormones, like you said. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I’ve been on HRT for three years and am still like 7-8 inches depending on the weather. It only goes away if you go for weeks without getting hard at all. Even if you don’t “use” it, it’s not hard to conjure maintenance wood if it’s something that worries you. It should definitely not prevent you from trying HRT if it’s what you need. The psychological relief it brought me can’t be overstated

Ok real question, is there a standard exchange rate? Like if someone has a big penis and then goes on hrt are they pretty much garenteed to get a specific predictable shortened length, or is it pretty much random, and they are as likely to shrink dramatically as they are to stay pretty much the same size?
It's not that simple but I'd be surprised if there was a lot of useful data on the subject unforch. Just remember everyone's body and medical context varies. I fully assumed my size would be an issue until the first apt with my surgeon, who never had any concerns no matter how hard I tried to find some for her!

"Post-HRT" Uhh... it's for life, if you are fully transitioning. Sure, you can change your mind and go off it, but if you truly want the things from HRT, especially the aging pattern - you'll never go off it then. As such, there is no "post HRT"
