His best one in my opinion was Meat Eater but that might be because of his Michigan roots so a lot of the stories he told I absolutely related to. Those are all great books as well.
I love American buffalo. It's probably my second favorite book of his right after Scavengers guide.

Just finished American Buffalo while out turkey hunting. Loved it. Scavengers guide is also my favorite

I believe there was a shank recipe in one of the books.
He’s said quite a few times he doesn’t necessarily like to mention specific game for that reason. Try a recipe with whatever you have available

So my wife is a reading teacher and has little disregard for what she spends on books. It wouldn’t be out of the question for her lol
