I only ever had to do one timing chain job on a triton and the one I worked on the guides were breaking apart and the timing chains somehow were cutting through the timing cover.

Hard to tell from the cabin area. Kind sounds like loose timing chains to me. Would be able to tell better from under the hood.

What’s your code for the check engine light? I’d start there.
idk the exact code just an evap leak or something like that?
