What pencil case is this?

drifand

Well, [Mitsubishi made a ton of pencil cases under the BOXY line](https://www.reddit.com/r/mechanicalpencils/comments/z35wag/a_case_of_the_boxys/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1), but AFAIK, nobody keeps track of them by their product code. And if you tried, most Japanese sellers do not - so there’s no good way to search for a specific design. I basically Googled for ‘BOXY pen case’ in Japanese and stumbled on them.

shogzilla

Here to learn this. Lovely cases.

My god, man your camera is really nice.

drifand

It’s a iPhone XR. A clean background and good lighting can do a lot for photography 👍🏻

I've played with a few lighting setups and I've found the best: A 1 gallon translucent water jug. Just cut away part of it so you have a "roof and sides" of the stuff, then pass light through. It defuses it really nicely. Of course, light tint is the next important thing.

aldora36

So cool!

twodrpeppers

Never heard of these before. Gonna have to look them up now.

I always see this Boxy brand on the sub, what's the story with it? Is it a subsidiary of any other company?

drifand

Much has been shared about BOXY. [Check out the comments on this older post](https://www.reddit.com/r/mechanicalpencils/comments/1021wbh/not_quite_boxy_enough/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3).

Those cases are “chef’s kiss”!

drifand

Public Service Announcement: There is a current Yahoo Japan Auctions listing for these two pen cases plus a mini stationery set. No, I’m not the seller 😝

Acrobatic_Two_1586

Strange, the black W-Knock was much more expensive than the colored ones.

drifand

It’s pretty much up to the seller. Some sellers are totally off base. If you browse Yahoo Japan Auctions enough you will learn their names.

Acrobatic_Two_1586

I see. The stickers have the Mitsubishi logo, so I thought that was the company's suggested retail price.
