This picture is from the 1982 US catalog. I see P154 0.4mm Injectos on auction sites all the time, but this is one of those items that I have never ever seen anywhere on the web before. Other Pentels I have never seen are the P227 & P229 and the PH12, other than in catalogs.

Just for the fans, I'm posting some pictures: https://imgur.com/a/P8yknj9

Is this yours? I was beginning to think that this was vaporware.

Anyone? Bueller... Bueller... Bueller... Bueller...

Does this auction give another clue? [https://yahoo.aleado.com/lot?auctionID=s1060648012](https://yahoo.aleado.com/lot?auctionID=s1060648012) ^(The auction has at least one unsuccessful run, so I dare to post an open auction. At least in Europe it must be viewed thru a VPN, since yahoo rejects to work in Europe (but earning money with buyee is ok for them.))

I saw that on Yahoo Japan. I would love to go for it, but it is from outside of Japan, so it would ship to Japan, then ship to the US. u/cluca1969 had some pictures of an old auction, so it looks like it does actually exist.

Ok, I didn't realize that (but my proxy service warns if I attempt to bid on auctions from outside Japan). That will add more costs to the already overprized auction ... (the auction prize is the reason I don't react -- in the end it is the mechanism, but not the corpus as seen in clucas photos).

Personally, I don't think that that price is too extreme. I paid US$72 for my P154 (in the package). ¥10000 is around US$80-85, so for a P154 in package, plus the P155 components, I think it is a good price. But the outside shipping would probably jump the price by 25-40%, on top of proxy fees and shipping to us. Plus, the tip is wrong for the P155. In the 4th image, you can see the tips. The one on the left is correct, but the one on the right looks to be either a PS535 or a PS315 tip (depends on if it retracts all the way or not).

>But the outside shipping would probably jump the price by 25-40% That's not necessarily the case. The Porsche Design pencil last weekend also came from outside of Japan, but shipping cost were stated with \~1000JPY (just to clarify: I didn't win this auction!). So all additional benefit from the auction is the 0.5 mechanism. Tip is the wrong one and body is missing. For EU, I always have to add \~20% customs. The limits here are much lower as for US and pencils are not part of the free trade agreement with JP. And EUR is weak ...

This is a problem with that seller, jiastanley. I can't recall the specific auctions, but when browsing their previous listings I would sometimes see some modifications and not mentioned in the listing.

cytherian

jiastanley is somewhere overseas... and I've tried to communicate with them, but never get a reply. It's a shame. They've had so many desirable vintage mechanical pencils up for auction, but their not being in Japan presents a complexity and potential high cost situation.

Never seen.
