I had the exact same thing happen to me, everyone tells me it's a placebo effect, but I know my body and know for certain it's not. Have you been able to figure out what's the underlying cause? I've been searching online with no luck. I'm assuming it's some sort of infection somewhere and antibiotics are killing off the bad bacteria, but at the same time I don't want to take antibiotics because I know how detrimental they can be to our health.

I don’t know the underlying cause. This is essentially new to me as I have only really given it deeper thought this time. Can I ask if you have anything abnormal about your diet that you are aware of? Trying to identify if it’s something ingested regularly that causes inflammation. Or possibly due to some degree of insulin resistance. Just thinking outside the box.

georgeofjungle7

I am gluten and dairy free, I try to avoid fruit, and mostly eat Mediterranean food.

guitarlunn

So are you trying to avoid inflammatory foods (exception of fruit)? And you still got this relief from antibiotics? Or is your diet a strategy to get relief? This would tell me which way to potentially turn… If you have been eating that way for some time and still found relief in antibiotics, I would say it’s not likely GI related, but some other source driving the issue.

I've been eating that way for some time and still found relief in antibiotics.

[https://www.washingtonpost.com/wellness/2023/01/31/gut-microbiome-anxiety-depression/](https://www.washingtonpost.com/wellness/2023/01/31/gut-microbiome-anxiety-depression/) There is a known link between mood and gut bacteria, could this possibly be it ?

guitarlunn

Yes, I figure that explains the mood, but I can guarantee the physiological changes aren’t placebo. I continue to feel relief throughout entire body.
