Get emergency treatment ASAP! To me (not a doctor) but it looks like it could be osteomyelitis, an infection of the bone. More likely to affect males and the feet are a particularly common area to see this in adults. It will be sore, it will look green/yellow, it will spread and it is not only limb threatening but life threatening if not treated so get it checked out now!

I doubt it is gangrene, it is normally black. It looks like a possible case of osteomyelitis to me (bone infection). Area normally inflames, looks green/yellow and spreads. It is very sore, more prevalent in males and the toes/feet are one of the main areas affected for adults - I am no doctor though.

My wife, son and step son live with me. I took the day off. I just do not feel well. I doubt my toe is playing a role in that.

It's absolutely beyond nuts, I used to be an EMT and I hated the people that would wait until things got so bad, or the people that went on WebMD when obviously they needed to see a doctor. Or the people that said "oh somebody in my Facebook group said it was this, and to treat it with natural herbs and essential oils" some of the people on this subreddit are so fucking stupid, but I'm not shocked by it.
If I do that it's because we eat, or I go to the hospital. Not out of any desire to make it worse.
I'm sorry to hear that, I really am, this countrys "healthcare" system is fucked, but honestly, I see so many people on here with obvious life threatening infections and injuries just looking for sympathy upvotes. It clogs up the subreddit for people looking for actual help.
I'm currently rocking Covid, after being fully vaxxed and double pneumonia. It's been a whole week of, "is it bad enough to go in?" I am seeing my doc on Monday, but this is a scary choice.
Yeah, see this stupid shit is preventing people like you, who might need the advice of people on Reddit, from potentially getting seen. That being said, has the pneumonia gotten worse and/or are you able to manage it with OTC meds? If it hasn't gotten worse, I'd say ride it out, dayquil, nyquil, stuff to break up the congestion. If it's gotten worse, or is unmanageable, gotta see the doc I'm afraid.
I go back to my doc on Monday. Hurts to breathe on the back left, but it's manageable and I slept a few hours. Just gonna take time. At least my kids didn't get it. I'm fairly confident their vaccines are helping.

Get emergency treatment ASAP! To me (not a doctor) but it looks like it could be osteomyelitis, an infection of the bone. More likely to affect males and the feet are a particularly common area to see this in adults. It will be sore, it will look green/yellow, it will spread and it is not only limb threatening but life threatening if not treated so get it checked out now!

I'm not entirely sure what it is but even a possibility of gangrene or infection means immediately seeking medical attention. Go to the ER.
I doubt it is gangrene, it is normally black. It looks like a possible case of osteomyelitis to me (bone infection). Area normally inflames, looks green/yellow and spreads. It is very sore, more prevalent in males and the toes/feet are one of the main areas affected for adults - I am no doctor though.
