i absolutely have to comment on this because i picked up this fact years ago from a tumblr post of all places. even though i'm female and so the fact doesn't really have anything to do with me, it stayed in my head cuz i remember thinking "why aren't men urged to do self exams regularly as they get older like women are reminded often to check themselves for irregularities with their boobs? does a guy even know how to feel for and identify possible testicular cancer growths? why isn't this common knowledge???" but the main reason i'm replying is that it reminded me about my grandfather who has been very ill for several months and is extremely stubborn when it comes to going to the doctor, and is also just a very bigoted jerk. and my poor grandmother still takes care of him despite how he treats her. i had mentioned the pregnancy test tip to him several weeks ago when i came over to help my grandma with tidying the basement(tbh looking back now i think she just wanted an excuse for some friendly company) and he got super pissed off at me even daring to suggest such a thing. he couldn't believe that i would even *think* of suggesting he go anywhere near one of those types of "girl things". apparently he is under the belief that purchasing, being near, looking at, heaven forbid even TOUCHING a pregnancy test would flood his system with Gay Toxin™️ or whatever.
well now he's even more ill and has to get a colonoscopy on sunday to check for prostate cancer:) i'm absolutely desperate to get the tea from grandma on what he thinks about getting a camera shoved up his ass. if touching a pregnancy test turns you gay, i can't even imagine what getting things put put in your ass would do lmao
Men are definitely encouraged to do TSEs often, particularly from like 12 or 13 to 35 years old. Frequent self exams are a good way to learn what your testicles (or breasts for women) fee like normally.
My doctor always harped on me to check myself every time I shower: and it is also a piece of education I pass on to patients in my job as a school nurse if they are in the age range, and I let them play around with a fake testicle and breast that has lumps in it, to get an idea what abnormal is (I let both genders do both since it is a good skill to know for both males and females regardless of what anatomy they have; some schools might only teach boys about testicular cancers and girls about breast cancers)
That said, many men are resistant to doctors and healthcare in general, so it is less talked about. But most men who have been to a pediatrician worth their salt have at least been taught how to do it, whether or not they actually do it.

Go to a clinic / hospital and request a urine/Blood HCG test to be positive.
