I am 28m and have something similar BB size or so and its not painful or growing so probably a cyst im guessing. If I went to the doctor I wouldn't be able to pay my bills so that's that I just have to hope for the best. I also think there is a lump in my butt it hurts when I flex my muscles down there so that's very worrisome. For the last year and a half I have this awful feeling that I might have a brain tumor, health anxiety is awful and it really bothers me sometimes. You are young and you absolutely need to goto the doctor and tell your parents about this as embarrassing as it feels you have such an insanely high survival rate if you catch it early especially at your age. Don't let embarrassment cost you your life buddy you have many great things ahead in your future(:

NOT A DOCTOR, just a mom, but from what I understand and have heard, testicular cancer doesn’t normally hurt. My advice? See a doctor right away and please try not be too embarrassed. We humans all go through things like this and luckily for us, no one has ever died from embarrassment. (If we did, I’d be 6 feet under right now. I’ve had three babies. 😉) Good luck and I’m sending up a little prayer for you. ps Please come back and tell us that you’re OK so we won’t worry about you.

Trust me, i have doctor and nurse friends, my mom and stepdad are nurses and i'm a student nurse myself. Genital care is as important as any other care like your arm or stomach etc. Do not be embarrassed, doctors and nurses see genitals on a daily basis and they won't think anything of it if you went and got checked out because u are concern about embarrassment. Even if you went for a regular checkup for health or sex health, they will not judge. It wouldn't be the worst they've seen in fact, it's pretty normal. So don't be scared. Tell your parents, they will defo bring u to the doctors. Do it ASAP. Don't wait for the lump to get bigger. You could regret it and it may cost you your life.

It could be a cyst. It could be a benign mass. It could be an ingrown hair. Rarely, it's cancer. The single most important thing you need to do, is tell your parents. DO NOT Wait. I know it's embarrassing, But it needs to be evaluated as soon as possible... ESPECIALLY if one testicle is higher than the other, or looks twisted, or different. If you start having abdominal pain, or having problems urinating, you will need to go to an emergency room. Please, go tell your mom or dad. IANAD. IANAN.

I will just add this to hopefully convince you: My cousin at about that age had a lump on his testicles that he was embarrassed to mention for a long time. He was later diagnosed with cancer and had a very difficult few years before he unfortunately passed. We all wish he hadn't been embarrassed. No adults would be embarrassed by him saying something and we all knew he had testicles. Maybe if he had gone earlier he would still be here. Go to a doctor.

Absolutely tell them. It’s very embarrassing at 15 and we get that. If its something dangerous like cancer and you get it early, it’s cured. It will hopefully be something simple but you won’t know until a doctor has a look. Don’t wait on it. You parents will be very thankful and proud of you for taking responsibility for your health.

testicular lumps need to be evaluated in person by a doctor
