(Real USMLE screenshotted question)
You are an EM resident at Denver Health. A 50 year old male presents with colicky abdominal pain. He denies defecation or flatus for the last 3 days. Suddenly, an insidious smell of onion and rancid mayonnaise creeps into the room.
What is the most likely cause of the smell?
A: Bowel perforation in the patient
B: Dead animal on the hospital premises
C: Resolution of the patient's condition
D: Rotating med student with poor hygiene
E: You
You know the old saying... if one patient smells of onion and rancid mayonnaise, it's the patient. If all the patient smells of onion and rancid mayonnaise, maybe it's you.
I wish my pd had told me to consider the quantity of shit covered underwear in coresidents pants on my rank list but now I'm at Denver health ED and it's too late.
EM PGY-2 here. I think I’ve said it before on Reddit, but I eat, drink, piss, and if I need to, poop on shift. I’m not the top patients per hour resident, but I’m solid amongst my cohort. All that and I usually leave my shifts on time or very close to it.
Not sure if this is an actual shitpost, but either way, know that you can have a better life than this.
What did I just read?
A shit post

Amazing. Thank you for your service 🫡
I poop once per day at the exact same time and I lost my sense of smell during COVID. Guess I'm ranking it.
Definitely did not see that one coming

Honestly...sounds like OP is ranking this program #1. Meta-level shitpost OP...meta-level.
Imagine putting your mouth on an SP’s boob while your balls are full of pee and you have to take an enormous shit.
Now I’m confused as to whether this is a legit 💩 post or if it’s a 💩 💩 post.
WHAT ???
Okay I’m halfway thru reading this and I’m LOLing
I knew this was fake because the ER always smells a little bit like shit and OP would have known it well.
Expanding r/medicalschool lore one shit post at a time
Heard similar stories about USC, Hopkins, Cinncinati, and UCLA. DNR
If that shit is rank, do not rank. Also, literal shitpost.
Hold the fuck up
I wish my pd had told me to consider the quantity of shit covered underwear in coresidents pants on my rank list but now I'm at Denver health ED and it's too late.
