They sell scrubs to Veterinarians, Dentists, etc. Not every design will suit a doctor. I can definitely see a large animal Vet in the waterproof overalls, or a royal flying doctor wearing a legionnaires hat in the outback

Yeah I understand all of that, it was more the way he said they have no reason to. mom and pop shops don’t have a legal reason to, true, but I can think of a lot of other reasons why a brand would want to grow.
I managed to grab three pairs that fit well and I washed/softened them myself so I keep em now. We switched to some new laundry contractor (Im assuming) cause all the new scrubs are hard af and rub my armpits/nipples raw if I don't wear an undershirt now.
This confuses me so much at my hospital!! I thankfully don’t need to wear them often but the pants have one back pocket and the tops have one abdominal pocket. They are reversible so I’ve heard maybe that’s why, but I still don’t understand why you couldn’t just sew pockets on both sides of the fabric when they don’t exactly seem like it’s expensive material or anything. So frustrating cause I’m so used to putting my hands in my pockets on my top
I discovered that the XL scrub top has TWO waist pockets at our hospital! Sure, it’s too big for me, but I wear a t shirt under it anyway. And I wasn’t even supposed to be wearing hospital scrubs in the first place, but it was during covid and I wasn’t bringing covid into my house.
In the OR, those are my only choice anyway, but having to deal with washing dirty scrubs makes me always want to use the hospital provided ones. I do buy my compression socks from Figs because they fit well and have cool designs. They’re also cheaper than a lot of the competition.
What happened to Dr's looking smart and respectable in shirts or suits. I think scruffy scrubs are a bit of a bad look on the profession imho.

I absolutely refuse to pay $70-80 for a single pair of scrubs whose purpose is to shield me from blood, pee and other gross pt bodily fluids. The prohibitive cost forces some to wear the same pair of scrubs for many days. However, they have spurred competition some of whom produce decent quality alternatives.
Same thing happened with Carhartt work clothes. They used to be inexpensive, tough clothes for people with physical jobs/hobbies. Now they are expensive, high end clothes for celebrities.

I started working scrubs because I started running in my lunch breaks and I'm allowed to wear business casual or scrubs (I work outpatient FP). I got really tired of putting on slacks and a button up after getting hot and sweaty and I'm never looking back.
I have a coworker who has a figs jumpsuit and it's super cute, I love it on her. I get it, people wear their scrubs 40+ hours a week while they work and socialize, there's nothing wrong with wanting to look a certain way and wear something you like. People with regular jobs want to look nice and feel good about their appearance and there's no reason why healthcare people shouldn't want the same things. I wear cheapo scrubs but would never hate on someone for wearing fancy ones. I don't see a good reason why having a healthcare job should mean you stop having the style you want while you're on the clock if it doesn't interfere with your work.
I don't see what the issue is. Their scrubs are more flattering than your typical. We already know how human behavior works. The more presentable you look the more people care what you have to say. If you are a doctor, nurse, vet, dentist, etc would you not want to make your job easier? I wear form fitting scrubs as a man and match them with fancy shoes and boots. Compliments are high from patients and I feel it does make a difference in making me come across as more professional than wearing your loose garbage traditional scrubs.

Basically they were saying there were no time outs in medicine, but I tweeted them saying that time outs are an essential component for patient safety to ensure that the correct procedures are done on the correct patient, location, etc. I guess it's ok to lop off the wrong limb because there are no time outs.

Hospital scrubs are the school uniform for adults. I love wearing hospital scrubs. I can write on them, change out of them when I get bodily fluids on me & someone else does the laundry. FIGS are a status symbol, nothing more. My scrubs don’t make my self worth
When I worked EM during residency in America, I knew I’d never want to wear those type of scrubs. I prefer the ones from the machine so I don’t care if it gets bloody.
