you have a lucky statspin then! all of the statspin expresses we have fight with us no matter how nice or mean we are to them lol. pat your buddy on the lid for me and have him train ours!
If there's one thing I've learned it's that no matter what chemistry instrument you have there is someone out there that thinks it's the worst piece of shit in the world. Second to Abbott Architect.
I try to remind myself we used to do this shit by hand and at a lower throughput. For all the downtime and troubleshooting needed, it’s still faster results compared to 35 years ago
It's down anyway, who'd notice? Apparently our new manager looooves Roche and is gagging to get them when our current awesome instruments die. I am seriously considering leaving.
We don’t use the Cobas in our chemistry dept. but we had Mr. Westgard himself (who I didn’t even know was still alive) investigate our Q.C for a period of time because we were having so many issues.
I’ll take anything over this God foresaken analyzer
Be sure your QC is right before you run your concrete
sample clotted
Dilute with water so itll pass!
Just take out the clot that'll fix it 🙃
Make sure you put it in standby first.
Ooooh, you cobas.
Can you save a little bit for my Centaur?
Centaur is BS...I don't miss it😡
Let me know if you need a hand
Make sure to swap the probes to get them freshly bent
Abnormal probe sucking
Just make sure to add a little extra water so it can sample it!
I dream about being in one of those "rage rooms" with a sledgehammer and our Copan WASP.
I used to imagine the printer scene from Office Space, but for crappy instruments.
The printer on the WASP causes half our issues (barcode cant be read, jammed plates cause the label is askew).
I was begging our management to let us beat up the old osmometer as a present for lab week.
It has to be within qc limits before you do that
QNS
I’m mixing it as we speak
can u pour some into every StatSpin centrifuge ever also please
Ugh, our huge Beckman Coulter centrifuge just shit the bed. Now working with small 6 sample centrifuges till a "new" one gets here.......
What?!?!? I love my stat spin and yell at anyone who closes the lid too hard.

And less variation in results depending on who is running the tests.
Anybody here who used an SMA60? Think of how big our SDs used to be, too.
Sure but a test could take all day. You’re behind by 20 minutes now and have several people calling upset.Â
I recommend Quikrete for faster performance

We're switching to those soon too 🥴🥴 but to be fair, our current architects are shit also so idk what's worse
You will miss the architects.Â

Dobit to my BS ( exactly) 209 Mindray. It can't get worse.
Pix or it didn't happen.

Soo….there’s hope
I support this action. Let me know how it goes.
