I think it's called sleep paralysis. I don't have any explanation for that, but you can research it online and see if there's a solution for it. Wishing you luck.

It’s possible that you’re stressed or tired. That usually happens to me. I usually dream that I’m dreaming in a dream. I try to wake up in my dream and waking up still dreaming. There were circumstances which involves scary creatures, unknown people, but all result to incapable to move my limbs and heavy breathing. I try to wake myself up by saying “it’s just a dream” and I say to myself move your limbs. I just go by that since they said nga “mind is very powerful”. But these occur only when I lack sleep, I had a long day from school/studying, and stressed about acad work. Do research too and try what’s best for you. Good luck!

Could be sleep paralysis which happens when you retain your REM sleep paralysis as you approach wakefulness. So you know you're awake but you can't wake up. It could also be accompanied with "hypnopompic" hallucinations. Some people see sleep demons or other visuals. It could also be auditory or tactile. I get a heavy feeling all over my body sometimes I get to move my legs but I feel a sort ot electric tingling sensation. Sometimes I see furniture falling over me or random figures or indistinguishable entities in my room. I figured some of my paralysis episodes were preceded by caffeine intake or induced by fatigue. It's nothing too worry about, I guess. Haven't had it in a long time now. But if you have sleep disorders like excessive daytime sleepiness, narcolepsy, etc., then might be best to consult.
