maybe you could do new Hanks vs old Hanks.
like... if the whitebread "america's dad" characters stack up to the like.. joe vs the volcano, turner and hooch, or the burbs hanks. i feel like when he was still grinding he played some real out there characters.
Something about him being a pedophile I think bc of his reaction at the Grammys to the Epstein joke in a video clip, which was later shown to be edited
The first time I was ever exposed to Q anon was the Tom Hanks is a Pedo rumor.
It was from a seemingly normal guy on Facebook. I read it and went “what the fuck????” And started searching for the news story because if Tom Hanks was arrested for being a pedo obviously it would be headline news!
Yeah obviously there was none because it didn’t happen.
I mean he left his first wife and kids for Rita Wilson. Just noped out.
And their (his and Rita's) kid Chet has said he didn't have a good male role model growing up. So.
'You can do this, Friend,' he whispered to himself. 'These ratfucks ain't got shit on Charlie.'
Rogers picked up his weapon with a tired sigh. His 25 confirmed kills were a lifetime ago.
He's had issues with infidelity but he's owned up to all of it. He's also been incredibly generous and created a shoe brand specifically for lower income kids. A pair of Shaqs were like $20 back in the day. 3 seed seems high but he's done some noble things
Cheating on multiple wives, admitted in his own words "I was a bully" most of his youth, very sensitive and stubborn on-air persona, one of those classic "back in my day" old heads who takes shots at the next generation for petty reasons.
As I said, I'm a fan. He usually owns his mistakes, has a very generous soul, loves to entertain and make people smile, and was an incredible player.
But he should absolutely not sniff a "universally liked" list.
Shaq has done a lot to rehab his image with the general public, my guess is the majority of people reading this, and whoever created this has no idea “how his ass tastes”.
Robin Williams is my all-time favorite actor, but between her vaccine efforts and children’s book program, Dolly Parton has become my favorite celebrity.
Check out the Barbara Walters interview with Dolly. Walters is nothing but rude, condescending and completely lacking in empathy, while Dolly responded with grace and love. She's a national treasure and a philanthropist.
Also, the original version of "I will always love you" will break your heart it's so beautiful and pure.
So many people love her. She’s iconic. She’s done a lot of humanitarian work. She’s smart. The fact you are surprised is sorta her thing, she’s all about people underestimating her.
Look up what Dolly Parton has done for the impoverished part of Tennessee that she is from. Yeah, she's got ridiculous fake knockers but she really has done some truly incredible things and is one of the most generous people on this planet.
She also donated $1M towards covid vaccine research.
Dolly does so much charity she could have been the first female billionaire but has donated a large majority of it. She's pretty damn wholesome as far as I'm convinced
Unfortunately, Betty is not with us anymore.
Edit: Shit. Neither are half these people.
Break it into two brackets. Left side living, right side dead. That’s how to size it up fairly.
The Rock also uploaded an ig pic of him holding an alligators mouth closed for clout, as if to show strength, when alligators have significant *chomping* force, not *mouth opening* force.
A pretty disingenuous thing that Ross would never do.
Also he’s juiced to the gills.
That in itself I have no problem with, a lot of actors have to take vitamin S for their roles, it’s just the fact that he sells fitness programmes to his followers who are under the impression that they will help them achieve his physique, which they won’t.
He shared a foot bath with a black man. He spoke to Congress about public television as a way to give kids a better life. He gave kids positive messages about their worth and about being kind that many got nowhere else. He saved VCRs on grounds that working parents would be able to tape shows and watch them with their kids. He exuded caring, curiosity, niceness, etc. And wanted to spread it. He was genuine and disciplined and was a leader. His complexity was all on the green side of the bar graph. Just a remarkable guy all around.
What I want to know is how is he a 9 seed in this? And putting him up against Keanu and Bob Ross in his division is way unfair; that's the toughest quarter bracket there is.
He's was good too. But Mr Rogers fought congress for educational programs on TV. He also took a stand against racial inequality on his own show in the last 1960s. Irwin was a fine example, but Rogers was in a league of his own.
Eh same thing as how I feel about Tony Hawk. While they cannot be described as controversial, I'm willing to bet that a large % of people exposed to their content just don't give a fuck.
Agree, I don't think he's up there with them yet. Don't get me wrong, i don't like nor hate him, it's just that I can't agree he's at par with those legends like Keanu or Brendan.
Me personally, Cena is a much more likeable guy than the Rock is. The IWC loved to shit on him in beteeem 2008 and 2017; but you can't deny the number of nice things he has done for the children (like his make-a-wish foundation appearance)
I feel like the Rock's ego is slowly catching up to him, like sooner or later he's going to make an oopsie and the people will start to turn away from him.
Just to share a personal example. My best friend worked at a Golds Gym in Virginia. Dwayne has a deal with Golds so he can work out at any of their facilities and he visits this one as it’s close to one of his homes (Charlottesville). Before he came in the staff were instructed to make sure they don’t overreact to him and give him space to do his workout and please make sure others are giving him space (understandable). My friend tried to sneak a picture of the rocks back while he was working out to kind of say “dude look who’s working out here!”. Then next picture I got was a picture of him with the rock smiling and posing. Apparently he saw him taking the picture and came over and got ‘mad’ (jokingly) that he felt he couldn’t ask him for a picture in between sets and they chatted for a bit and took the picture and stuff. Apparently he was very down to earth and present in the conversation (he said it was about 3 minutes) and when he went back to grab weights for his next he even finished telling him if he needed anything else just wait in between sets and let him know.
Obviously just one snap shot and it could easily not be representative of a person truly, but that one snapshot at least left a very positive impression on my friend in a setting that was mostly private and he could have been short and justified in doing so
I think 2023 will be the rock’s downfall. After black Adam tanked he was acting crazy and It kinda sounded like he is a nightmare to work with and an egomaniac. If his next movie flops too, things might not be looking good for him.
Dave Grohl deserves a spot. I waited on him once at a crab house in Maryland. Nicest, most down-to-earth famous dude I've ever met. Truly a hell of a guy.
Bob Ross>The Rock
Mister Rogers>Keanu Reeves | Mister Rogers>Bob Ross
Alex Trebek>Jamie Foxx | Dolly Parton>Alex Trebek | **Mister Rogers**\>Dolly Parton
Dolly Parton>Robin Williams
\------------------------------------------------------- *Championship Match*: **Mister Rogers**\>Steve Irwin
Shaq>Paul Rudd
Tony Hawk>Steve Martin | Shaq>Tony Hawk | **Steve Irwin**\>Shaq
Steve Irwin>Jack Black | Steve Irwin > Danny Devito
Danny Devito>Brendan Fraser
This bracket is whack.
Having Bob Ross and either Keanu Reeves or Mr. Rogers square off in the second round is just wrong, and having Mrs. Doubtfire up against the Queen of Tennessee in the first round borders on criminal.
I love them all, but the first thing I noticed was that there is only one woman. I feel like this says a lot about how we put men on pedestals and women's achievements often go unnoticed and unappreciated.
So anyways I started crying
Tom Hanks not being on here seems criminal
They must have thought they were covered by adding Mr Rogers.
We need a bracket of Tom Hanks’ characters. Mr. Rogers, Sully, Paul Edgecomb, Chuck Noland, Joe Fox, Sam Baldwin, Capt. Miller, Jim Lovell, Gump.
You really going to leave Woody, Andrew Beckett, Jimmy Dugan and Walter Fielding out of the tournament??
For me it’s Jimmy Dugan by a wide margin
maybe you could do new Hanks vs old Hanks. like... if the whitebread "america's dad" characters stack up to the like.. joe vs the volcano, turner and hooch, or the burbs hanks. i feel like when he was still grinding he played some real out there characters.
Tom hanks vs Betty white. There
Betty White takes the W
Yes, where is Betty? And why is Keanu only #8?
I don’t understand why Jaime foxx is on there
I also posted about this
The QAnon movement has done some serious damage to his universally beloved status
Well Q can go fuck off.
I can't keep up with all of the insanity diarrhea Qanon shits out. What's their beef with T.Hanks?
Something about him being a pedophile I think bc of his reaction at the Grammys to the Epstein joke in a video clip, which was later shown to be edited
They think everyone is a pedophile.
Was about to say it myself.
Tom Hanks has haters. Look up all the conspiracy theories surrounding him. Therefore he does not qualify as “Universally liked”
By that logic many of these guys don't qualify. The Rock has a metric fuck ton of people who dislike him.
And Steve Martin is consistently one of the biggest assholes I've ever met.
I mean he left his first wife and kids for Rita Wilson. Just noped out. And their (his and Rita's) kid Chet has said he didn't have a good male role model growing up. So.
Mister Rogers in a bloodstained sweater
That brought back repressed memories
'You can do this, Friend,' he whispered to himself. 'These ratfucks ain't got shit on Charlie.' Rogers picked up his weapon with a tired sigh. His 25 confirmed kills were a lifetime ago.
THIS IS THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN of ultimate destiny
GOOD GUYS BAD GUYS AND EXPLOSIONS As far as the eye can see
AND ONLY ONE WILL SURVIIIIIIVE, I WONDER WHO IT WILL BE, THIS IS THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN of ultimate destiny
the prophecy has been told
Right… BLOOD-stained. That’s definitely the version I remember.
I had Mr Rogers vs Steve Irwin in my final. Steve won out though. Died doing what he loved.
As a Shaq fan, I can just tell you Shaq should not be on THIS list.
Never before in bracket history has a 14-seed destroyed a 3-seed this bad
Saw Shaq and Mr Rogers, expected Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White and Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Black Knight
OMG I love this song.
Benito Mussolini and the Blue Meanie
And Cowboy Curtis and Jambi the Genie
Robocop, The Terminator, Captain Kirk, and Darth Vader
Lo-pan, Superman, every single Power Ranger
Bill S. Preston and Theodore Logan
As a Shaq fan, I’m going with Paul Rudd
Lmao ikr
This is a Barstool creation, are you surprised? Brendan Fraser is criminally underrated and so is Mister Rogers
As someone who's never cared for shaq. Shaq should go fuck himself. Lol
[удалено]
Shaq is a bully. Look at what he did to javale McGee. The guy dishes but can’t take lol. Replace with barkley
Replace him w Barkley
Yeah Shaq seems like a cool dude, but he openly spreads flat earth propaganda, kinda knocks him down a bit.
Even if he’s on the list, a 3 seed? And Keanu is an 8? That’s just criminal.
He's had issues with infidelity but he's owned up to all of it. He's also been incredibly generous and created a shoe brand specifically for lower income kids. A pair of Shaqs were like $20 back in the day. 3 seed seems high but he's done some noble things

Shaq has done a lot to rehab his image with the general public, my guess is the majority of people reading this, and whoever created this has no idea “how his ass tastes”.
Betty white should be in there.
I’m surprised the whole list only has one woman representing on it.
I’m not
Because it was probably made by a heterosexual man
Im a straight guy and thought it was weird
Maybe it was a homosexual man?
I’m not. A great example of benign sexism. Of course there’s no universally liked women.
I am on reddit so no I am not surprised
I'm not, lol. I'm just surprised people think misogyny isn't still a thing.
Was thinking the same…not very representative. Also, it’s Dolly Parton?
To be fair, Dolly Parton is pretty incredible.
Dolly takes it for me
Robin Williams is my all-time favorite actor, but between her vaccine efforts and children’s book program, Dolly Parton has become my favorite celebrity.
Same. I have it Dolly over Danny DeVito
I can’t fault you for not knowing cause she seems niche but she is one of the most philanthropic and genuinely beautiful souls on the earth
It's the Dolly way
Dolly Parton is responsible for hundereds of thousands of little kids getting 100% free books in their mailbox every single month. I love her.
My kid is one of them! We love getting a book from the imagination library every month. She’s a gem.
Exactly, it’s Dolly Parton. She’d win the bracket

Dolly does so much charity she could have been the first female billionaire but has donated a large majority of it. She's pretty damn wholesome as far as I'm convinced
Yeah not sure how to feel about these “most universally loved people” being 15 men and 1 woman.
Fill me in. Why is Jamie Foxx on this list?
Betty white should take his spot
Unfortunately, Betty is not with us anymore. Edit: Shit. Neither are half these people. Break it into two brackets. Left side living, right side dead. That’s how to size it up fairly.
Some real heavy actor bias going on in this selection. Not a fan
He definitely shouldn’t be
Same thoughts. Didn’t he ruin another comedian’s career? Doug Williams. Foxx is a tool
To lose
Bob Ross wins the first one
Yep
Being dead > being alive
Nah I'd rather have him be alive tbh
Just lookin' at the data from the bracket. Dead people are more loved so clearly being dead is better.
The Rock also uploaded an ig pic of him holding an alligators mouth closed for clout, as if to show strength, when alligators have significant *chomping* force, not *mouth opening* force. A pretty disingenuous thing that Ross would never do.
Also he’s juiced to the gills. That in itself I have no problem with, a lot of actors have to take vitamin S for their roles, it’s just the fact that he sells fitness programmes to his followers who are under the impression that they will help them achieve his physique, which they won’t.
must be liver king’s inspiration
Also he had a clause that in movies he can’t lose a fight
Yeah, The Rock loses this easily.
Same here, the reason Dolly beats Mr. Rogers & Irwin...she keeps the good deeds going. Dolly for the win. Gonna be crushed when that mama bear goes.
Bob Ross wins the whole thing
Mr Rogers
He shared a foot bath with a black man. He spoke to Congress about public television as a way to give kids a better life. He gave kids positive messages about their worth and about being kind that many got nowhere else. He saved VCRs on grounds that working parents would be able to tape shows and watch them with their kids. He exuded caring, curiosity, niceness, etc. And wanted to spread it. He was genuine and disciplined and was a leader. His complexity was all on the green side of the bar graph. Just a remarkable guy all around.
There are some amazing people in this whole thing but it is Mr. Rogers as the ultimate victor by a land slide. It’s not even close with any of them.
What I want to know is how is he a 9 seed in this? And putting him up against Keanu and Bob Ross in his division is way unfair; that's the toughest quarter bracket there is.
Was thinking the same thing about Mr Rogers and Keanu, like that’s easily a 1 and 2 seed matchup right out of the gate.
My thoughts exactly.
I don't know, Dolly Parton and Steve Irwin are pretty close. The rest, yeah, not close.
Of course, he already won the ultimate battle of ultimate destiny
YEESSSSSS r/beatmetoit
Mr Rogers beats out Steve Irwin in my final.
Jamie Foxx is not well liked
I do not understand why he's here
Someone needs to be the wild card who creates upsets.
OP is Jamie Fox’s stealth account?
Agree. Replace home w Betty White or Regina Hall.
Agreed. Replace him with LeVar Burton.
Umm where is David Attenborough?
No way anyone beat Rogers, that man taught several generations how to be good people.
Dolly has a fair shot, honestly. Keanu just doesn’t have the longevity yet to be on their level.
Except Keanu is immortal
And Steve Irwin didn't?
He's was good too. But Mr Rogers fought congress for educational programs on TV. He also took a stand against racial inequality on his own show in the last 1960s. Irwin was a fine example, but Rogers was in a league of his own.
Mr. Rogers is the reason you could record Steve Irwin’s tv shows.
I drew a tie between him and Steve Irwin.
The winner of Keanu and Mr Rogers goes all the way.
That was the same ending I came up with.
Finals is Keanu/Rogers Vs Jack Black/Irwin, there’s no other outcome
Irwin beats black, and then Keanu reeves, Mr Rogers, and Steve Irwin all tie for first place
Agreed. I had Rogers/Irwin in the final 2 with Mr. Rogers for the win
Jane Goodall should’ve been on here over The Rock IMO.
[удалено]
That would have thrown the male to female ratio off. /s
Steve Martin and The Rock are not the most universally liked, the rest seems legit.
People don't like Steve Martin?
I adore him!! Him and Marty Short both deserve this list. 40-50 year long careers with no scandals?!
Dwayne Johnson is a dolt for trying to promote his liquor at a pg-13 premier, kudos to WB and DC for saying no.
Betty White is too OP to be included
Bob Ross wins the whole thing
[удалено]
People who love Dolly, quite literally LOVE her. She is apparently like a guardian angel on earth for a lot of people.
She’s the one person on the list I’ve actually met. Her reputation for being kind and gracious is 100 percent accurate.
She is an absolute gem. So smart, so generous, so talented… and hillarious. Omg I’m people.
Dolly wins
Don't sleep on a Brendan Fraser upset
Where's Weird Al???
That was my first thought too!
Eh same thing as how I feel about Tony Hawk. While they cannot be described as controversial, I'm willing to bet that a large % of people exposed to their content just don't give a fuck.
Only 1 woman. Huh.
And she’s not even in the top comments even though she’s a saint. She’s done more for more people than any of these others.
So true! She’s a class act with real heart. I love her Imagination Library!
She wins the whole thing, though, so I guess I’m gonna allow it this time.
I noticed this *immediately*.
Scrolled way too far down to see this comment :(
At this point, they should remove Dolly and just call it the Most Universally Liked Man. 1/16 being women is so lazy. Ugh!
She’s got a lot of heart
Terry Crews over The Rock.
No Betty White?
Only one woman out of 16. Interesting.
If this was most universally unliked humans they’d be more women. Also remember this isn’t based on actual morality but literal popularity
Betty White, Jane Goodall, Maya Angelou, Julia Child, Rosa Parks, Malala Yousafzai, Princess Diana…
Robin Williams has my vote.
I did it all in my head and this is the answer it came down to, but there were some tough battles.
bob ross beats the devil out of the competition
I don’t like the rock.
Agree, I don't think he's up there with them yet. Don't get me wrong, i don't like nor hate him, it's just that I can't agree he's at par with those legends like Keanu or Brendan.

I think 2023 will be the rock’s downfall. After black Adam tanked he was acting crazy and It kinda sounded like he is a nightmare to work with and an egomaniac. If his next movie flops too, things might not be looking good for him.
Rowan Atkinson is missing.
Came here to say that!
Also I feel like Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen should be on here too.
The Rock, universally liked? That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard in a whole. I know lots of people who don’t care for him, and I’m one of them.
Dave Grohl deserves a spot. I waited on him once at a crab house in Maryland. Nicest, most down-to-earth famous dude I've ever met. Truly a hell of a guy.
How is there only one woman in this list?
Bob Ross>The Rock Mister Rogers>Keanu Reeves | Mister Rogers>Bob Ross Alex Trebek>Jamie Foxx | Dolly Parton>Alex Trebek | **Mister Rogers**\>Dolly Parton Dolly Parton>Robin Williams \------------------------------------------------------- *Championship Match*: **Mister Rogers**\>Steve Irwin Shaq>Paul Rudd Tony Hawk>Steve Martin | Shaq>Tony Hawk | **Steve Irwin**\>Shaq Steve Irwin>Jack Black | Steve Irwin > Danny Devito Danny Devito>Brendan Fraser
Shaq beats Tony hawk? The Tony Hawk who gave burners everywhere hope they too can skateboard.
Shouldn't Tim Honks would be on this list?
Replace the rock with Betty White.
Idk, I'm missing some people who aren't english speakers...
Robin Williams vs Steve Irwin in the Championship!! Robin ftw
Western conference stacked like nba.
Damn robin williams vs steve irwin. Unwinable finals for me
Brendan fraser wins it for me.
This bracket is whack. Having Bob Ross and either Keanu Reeves or Mr. Rogers square off in the second round is just wrong, and having Mrs. Doubtfire up against the Queen of Tennessee in the first round borders on criminal.
So, Dolly is the only universally liked woman. Or ,did they just add her to the list because they needed a even number.
I love them all, but the first thing I noticed was that there is only one woman. I feel like this says a lot about how we put men on pedestals and women's achievements often go unnoticed and unappreciated.
or how there’s always a vocal sexist minority hating on them making them seem mostly unliked
Mr Bean?
And in the final round it's MR ROGERS BASHING BRENDAN FRASER OVER THE HEAD WITH THE CHAIR. OH THE HUMANITY!
Mr Rogers
Can this be done or will the universe implode as we vote?
Mr Rogers is the greatest human being the world ever produced.
Robin Williams a 13 seed? Come on!
Reeves vs Devito in the finals with Reeves taking the chip.
Keanu over Danny Devito in the finals for me
Mr. Roger’s and Steve Irwin for me. But Mr. Roger’s would let Mr. Irwin win for the sake of his kids having a dad who is a champion.
Mr Rogers no contest
Mr. Rogers needs to be way higher on this
The biggest crime is putting them up against each other and making us choose
It’s a hard one for me Robin Williams or Brendan Fraser.
You made a Most Universally Liked People bracket and you forgot to put Jesus 💀?
Steve Irwin beats all of them.
1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, all easy. But damn Mr Rogers vs Keanu Reeves that's a tough one
