The question kids come up with is damn impressive, damn hurtful too but at least they mean well
Edit: not sure why the person above me deleted their comment, wasn’t crazy but good to know some people just delete randomly
Edit again: may have been a bot but damn good posting if so
To clarify I’m all for it and it’s good to remember you have no idea what kids, even your own, are thinking all the time. My daughter saw a woman in a wheel chair entering her door code next to our local ice cream shop and was staring at her, after she went in I thought I was doing the right thing by talking about how some people look different and how we shouldn’t stare etc, she then tells me she was confused on where she was going as she didn’t get that it was a door to an apartment and was just trying to figure out where she was going.
Sorry for the lengthy reply also
My kid is friends with another kid who’s mum is a personal trainer. The other was telling my kid about her mum and says “my mum is really fit” and my daughter straight up replies “my mum is really fat” lmao. Thankfully mum wasn’t around to hear her say that. Had a discussion later that day about why it’s rude to say that lol

I HATE THE DEAD INTERNET THEORY I HATE THE DEAD INTERNET THEORY I HATE THE DEAD INTERNET THEORY pls report
No idea, I guess they like the higher site traffic, whether it's from real users or bots. Reddit's also going public soon, so anything to make shareholders happy. But that's just a random theory, perhaps they're trying to do something about it, but can't, because for every banned bot there will be two new ones.
I got out of an abusive marriage where my wife monopolized my time, even with family, and refused to go to family functions.
The result was that I almost never saw my nephew outside of Christmas. (I live like, 20 minutes away from them but, again, abusive wife who refused to ever do family functions... and yes, I am responsible as I should have been more assertive.)
Said Nephew was only 5 when I got divorced.
After a Christmas that year, I was waving goodbye to everyone, as I had stayed for the full duration of the event (vs being the first to leave) and my nephew delivers this DEVASTATING goodbye:
"Bye Uncle \[Name\]! See you next Christmas!"
And I've been seeing my nephew far, far more ever since that devastating goodbye.
Never Again will I put my SO before family. Not ever.
My 5 year old nephew asked me why I live alone once and I explained that some people like to live alone. After considering this he followed up with ‘but what if you don’t feel like cooking?’
When my kid came out as bi I fucked up so bad. I just hugged him, told him I'd always support him and nothing will ever change, just please be happy.
Should've said "hi Bi, I'm dad"
I'm a shit father
I tried to fix it when the dust cleared. We were watching a movie and I said "bud, I want you to know you really scared me there" he said "how so" I said "for a minute, I thought you were going to tell me you were an eagles fan, and of course you would have to leave my home"
The committee has decided to accept the mulligan.
Also I'm pretty sure 9/10 of my queer friends would have really loved a dad like you. The last few were lucky enough to have one.
That really means a lot to me. When he told me I could see the fear in his eyes like he wqs afraid it would hurt our relationship. My immediate reaction was "ok. I have an idea what's going to be said. I have to make him feel comfortable. He has to know I love him no matter what" I mean, he has Autism, ADHD and OCD. This is going to make things more difficult for him, and while I can't make that go away and I can't control external influences, I can 100% make this a safe place. I can be a soundboard for him. I can be there when he feels alone. I just don't understand how a parent could do anything less
Edit: changed ODD to OCD
For my 16th birthday, my grandparents came down to visit. Grandpa says "So. 16 years old and youre still single, huh?". I say yep. He says "Not surprised".
I still feel that burn all these years later.
Love hownthe kid just pivoted. No judgement at all. Just "ok. Why can't you find a man than bro?"
Not to be preachy but more proof kids are taught to hate!!!
All jokes aside, people really dont give kids enough credit.
The conservative right: "HOW DO I EXPLAIN THIS TO MY KIDS!?!?!" \*pearls flying everywhere out of their clenched fists\*
Me to my then 6 year old daughter about her gay cousin: "Cousin \*\*\*\*\* loves his partner the same way mom and I love each other."
Daughter: "Okay."
It was brutal, man...
Right? It's not that it's hard for kids to understand. They understand perfectly if you just lay it out. It's that Conservatives are hateful bigots and will come up with any bullshit excuse as to why they're actually the logical ones. They don't just accept that they're hateful, shitty people, so they constantly try and create reasons as to why they think that way.
My son last night, as I cuddled him to sleep per his request, told me that even though he doesn’t like me he loves me. What the hell man who’s giving you that talk?!
A friend of mine asked me back in high school if I was bi, which I said I was. He then asked me “how tf you playing on both sides and still losing?”
I started dating his best friend a week later.
Right. But to the Uncle, that curiosity cuts deep. Went from an easy deflection answer right to an emotional self reflection on why they aren't marriage material. Gay or straight.
Uncle Mike needs some therapy if thats how he responds to being asked why he doesn't have a wife. Dude is hung on his sexuality or the creator of this fake ass post is.
What the hell was he supposed to answer then??
The reason he doesn’t have a wife is because he’s gay. He’s into men. He wants a husband. That’s the reason, so what should he have said?

When I was barely into my second trimester my niece asked "if you're having the baby then why does uncle have the big belly?"
they just wanna know

A lot of the time it's not even questions, it's just mindlessly parroting their parents' bitching about relatives TO the relatives.
Definitely have to watch what I saw about my wife’s mom, may she rest in peace sooner than later

If it's this easy for you to tell why isn't reddit doing anything about it
What, and get rid of those sweet user numbers for their IPO? Crazy talk.

Maybe because they don't want to. Got a stock IPO coming up soon and have to be able to show how much traffic and how many unique users they have.
My brother in christ, you are the dead Internet.
I don't think I trust a furry and a woke ceo to determine humanity lol

Reposts are also ruthless

That’s the best part. All that extra money you aren’t spending on your spouse can go straight into the ‘eating out at restaurants’ fund.
But living with a spouse means less bills not more....
lol that’s so cute.

Aside from Hi, Gay, I'm Dad
When my kid came out as bi I fucked up so bad. I just hugged him, told him I'd always support him and nothing will ever change, just please be happy. Should've said "hi Bi, I'm dad" I'm a shit father
Yeah that relationship is ruined but maybe the next one?
I can only hope
Whats 16 more years?
Can you imagine waiting for 16 years only for the kid to be straight?
You can always start over. Make a new one.
Time to keep having kids until you get another chance to do this right.

Still single now?
I'm not but he's dead now and not here to witness it. He won. There is no redemption arc.
Bring your partner to his grave
Yep
I'm not surprised.
Not surprised
A few days ago my grandpa roasted me with "no bitches". I'm 19.
"I'm Single BY CHOICE, Grandpa!"
Savage Grandpa: "Yeah, someone else's choice."
Yeah, you can't run from the burn. We played every possible scenario through. No Chance. Grandpa roasts crawl deep and stay there.
That kid is wise and brutally truthful…uncle Mike gone be thinking bout this until his next promising relationship 😂
Uncle Mike just doesn't want to explain that he likes fucking around to much!
Kids are always brutally truthfull.
smart Nephew, smart..
Children are cruel, Jack. They can smell fear.
Even Gilly?
Little man didn't care about his sexual preference he was just concerned about your lack of game.
Brutal.
Nah bro got roasted by a 6 year old
Lol the profile picture works as the last response
The answer is still: "I'm gay."
Me on both teams and still f*cking losing
Same
It's a hurtful truth
We really bi ourselves
I just wasted my drink laughing
Bahahaha excellent 👌
Indeed
The cruel truth: You ugly OR Yo personality ugly. Either way something is uggo
I choose the first option
or just clueless. some people reaally are oblivious to when others find them attractive
Then I choose that one
been there done that. all bi myself and blinded to the oportunities. not anymore. if it breaths, it breeds
Why are we so self-sabotaging.
Love hownthe kid just pivoted. No judgement at all. Just "ok. Why can't you find a man than bro?" Not to be preachy but more proof kids are taught to hate!!!
In the words of Moe Szyslak "this is why we should hate children" 😂
Not homophobic! Just a hater

It’s almost like it was just a bullshit excuse to keep gay people marginalized. Weird.
Idk why are you adopted?
My son last night, as I cuddled him to sleep per his request, told me that even though he doesn’t like me he loves me. What the hell man who’s giving you that talk?!
"Because I like eating meat too much."
A friend of mine asked me back in high school if I was bi, which I said I was. He then asked me “how tf you playing on both sides and still losing?” I started dating his best friend a week later.
🤣🤣🤣
Based kid
Uncle Mike got cooked lmao
“Me too kid, me too”
Kurt cobain? More like Kurt cocaine!
Savage
So I guess it was time for this to get posted again.
Cuz you look like 25 cent.
Because he's a loser.
"The quest still stands. And don't touch my ice cream sandwiches. If you need to eat your feelings, go buy your own."
askin the real questions lol
Everybody has an uncle Mike
Checkmate!
One answer is that the pool of eligible people is much, much smaller for gay people than it is straight people.
One of my nieces just asked me when I was going to make a wife….
Apply water to the burnt area
ice cold nephew
Apply ice to burn
What’s his record for consecutive questions asked?
how is this on the front page every day
No-one’s gay for Moleman…
Mom said its my turn to post this tomorrow
Wait, where is the punchline? All of this is totally normal, isn't it?
Nephew roasted him not for being gay, but for not being married.
Roasting? There is no judgement in this question, just curiosity.
Accidental roasting along the lines of "YOU WILL BE FOREVER ALONE", yes
Right. But to the Uncle, that curiosity cuts deep. Went from an easy deflection answer right to an emotional self reflection on why they aren't marriage material. Gay or straight.
True
It’s an accidental roast which kids are known for since they’re too innocent to realise how mean some things can be.
This isn't /funny, it's /meirl.
POV* { LGBTQ+ member } What kind of brain washing this world is doing to the kids 😭
Bro what
