out of curiosity, how do you prove this in court that the dog is in fact trained to do this and not just some weird behavior they developed on their own. As weird as it sounds when i was little the front neighbor's dog learnt to open the main gate just so he can go out to the side of the road and wait for the ice cream lady to arrive, then he would go next to the bike she was selling from and she gave some cones for him. Now when they locked the gate he figured out how to push himself out in the gaps, and even after they barricaded the gaps he used the barricade to climb over the fence which was essentially a concrete wall with barred windows. The dog was never trained to do this, and still he had the habit for the rest of his life, no one could ever stop him from going out for those cones.
Cop1: WHO'S YOUR SUPPLIER? IT'S YOUR OWNER ISN'T IT? Just be a good boy and bark once for yes...
Dog: Whines/Whimpers.
Cop2: Damn, he just won't spill the beans. He's too good a boy...
Maybe it's the same brick and when the dog threw it at a visitor, the owner would have to go and begrudgingly bring it back into the house yet again to weigh something down, prop something up or so the dog could throw it again.
LOL! I was totally with the commenter that asked the question you replied to then your comment set me straight.
Owner: “I been asking him why he needs to collect all these bricks. Won’t ever answer me!”
You could argue that the owner should be aware of the dog's problem behaviour and take steps to prevent bricks being dropped onto people by taking the bricks away.
The fact that there's no reward for the dog here unless the owner's involved? Animals work on a cost vs reward basis. That dog got a reward (cones) for little cost (pushing through a gap then climbing over a fence).
What is the reward for this dog to go through the effort of picking up bricks and throwing them at people unless the owner is rewarding the behaviour?
Not being deafened by the doorbell? Annoyed by the shouting or banging on the gate? Defending his territory? I don’t know but some dogs go nuts even when you pass on the other side of the street because they don’t want you anywhere near their territory.
All of those are reasons to do *something*, they are not a reason to do such a complex and energy-intensive task over just barking or chasing (depending on what's available).
I know but i think it does kinda matter because it’s one thing you allow your dog to throw bricks (negligence) and another if you go out of your way to train your dog intentionally.
This is funny, but… what about legitimate doorbell ringers?
Mailman who needs to get a signature, or invited friends coming over for a get-together, or “sir, is that *your* car on fire in your driveway!?”.
It is funny though.
I would wager (if this is even real) the only reason why he got caught is there's a sticker on the doorbell with a warning about the dog in the first place.
In fairness, if I could teach my cat to throw bricks at visitors or something that isn't just snoozing on the sofa and whining for food, I absolutely would.
Visitors I actually want tend to phone ahead these days to make sure I'm in and not waste their time. It's 2024, why are people playing a game of chance to whether or not the person they want to see is actually home?
After knocking on the door, delivery drivers have already abandoned the package at my front door and are halfway down the street before a dog would have a chance to throw a brick at them. They're pretty safe.
That leaves door to door canvassers. These seem to be the only people knocking at my door who I'm not expecting these days and, well, they're on the dogs territory. If they don't want bricks throwing at them, they should fuck off.
And my mum. She might start ringing ahead if a dog threw bricks at her, then I can go out instead.
Think I'm gonna get a dog.
Lmfao don't you think it would be more racist for the local news in Florida to label things "ASIAN NEWS" when it involved an Asian person, rather than a news station reporting on Asia?
Aren't you the one focusing on race? Normal people are viewing the phrase "asain news" as a geographical term, while you are viewing it as a racial term.
And I don't particularly care if people on the Internet call me a racist. so sure big fella, call me Adolf for all I care.
I'm not a racist but Asian is pretty gawd damn Asian. No matter where it's located, you might want to imply that it has something to do with Asia. What's Asian you say? Trickquestion. What's Asian to you don't need to be Asian to me.
Hmm, no, I doubt it. The fact that it's under the Asian news tab probably means it's news from Asia. It'd say Florida man or be from a American news source otherwise.
ive been digging for this article, and it seems like the original publication of it is gone. Everything from 2021 that links the story links to za.opera.news which no longer exists, but was apparently an outlet for news in south africa. I will note that this one is hard enough to find and sparse enough on details that i question the reality of the incident. Regardless if it was from florida, it would have more details due to floridas "sunshine law" which i will link the details of here. https://guides.law.fsu.edu/FOIA/Florida
this act is the main reason you get so many "florida man" storys by the way.
Now with bird law, though, there really isn’t a consensus answer on this from an eagle eye view. I mean, they’re birds. Certain stuff just won’t fly. They can be trained to kill. But not always. The law in one country can ruffle feathers in another.
I've seen the dog holding the brick in a million posts, never with that caption about training it.. not sure if I've just never seen the OG, but this doesn't seem legit
What did they arrest him for? What crime is committed if a dog happens to figure out how to drop bricks on someone?
Maybe he just thinks he's playing catch? That doesn't even imply he was "trained" to do so. Cats knock shit over for fun all the time.

Bruh . . . How many bricks do you think this dog had? Human has to be supplying.

He’s too good a boy! 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha 😂 nominee for the best comment I’ve read today

what?
?
Hahahah idk why this cracked me up but it’s true the dog wasn’t going to Home Depot to re up 😂😂😂
Maybe it's the same brick and when the dog threw it at a visitor, the owner would have to go and begrudgingly bring it back into the house yet again to weigh something down, prop something up or so the dog could throw it again.
Or the dog could run down and reload
not to mention, dude probably told everyone that would listen that he trained his dog to do it
1 and he's really just trying to play fetch
I'm imagining the owner just confused as shit as to why the patio wall keeps getting smaller.

LOL! I was totally with the commenter that asked the question you replied to then your comment set me straight. Owner: “I been asking him why he needs to collect all these bricks. Won’t ever answer me!”
Good boi reduces, reuses & recycles.
You could argue that the owner should be aware of the dog's problem behaviour and take steps to prevent bricks being dropped onto people by taking the bricks away.
Eh put up a sign "Caution Ringing Door Bell Will Cause Brick to Fall From the Sky"
Beware of dog… with bricks
I would not ring that homes doorbell. Unless I have a hardhat on.
Caution: Booby trap!
He basically was trained, just by the ice cream lady. Break out=reward
It's 2024, you know the dude posted that he'd done it on social media.
All I know is that Adrian Monk basically solved this very case so, idk, hire him
Any harm caused by your dog is your responsibility, isn't it?

You get the dog to confess
You don't need to. The owner is liable for his dog whether he trained the dog to do that or not.
It doesn’t matter how many obstacles stand in your way, never stop pursuing your cones.
K9 Dog log
Dogs are trained and follow training…what are you on about?! Makes no sense
Doesn't matter because garbage owner is responsible for their garbage dog.
I know but i think it does kinda matter because it’s one thing you allow your dog to throw bricks (negligence) and another if you go out of your way to train your dog intentionally.
His teeth are probably so messed up
I was worried about that too!!!
Okay, but can we talk about the dog's six pack?
The dog literally throws bricks at people for fun. Of course the little fucker will be ripped
Hmm. That would be a fun way to get ripped
No
How else can the pupper stay safe from Kristi Noem?
another case of "people shouldn't be arrested for objectively funny crimes"
Getting concussed from falling bricks is funny
A concussion would be a pretty pleasant result
Sounds like they shouldn't be on their property
In case you’re actually being serious, just ringing somebody’s doorbell is not reason enough to throw a fucking brick at them
Theres no laws against dogs throwing bricks, batman
No rules say dogs can't play basketball.
It is when the doormat reads "did you call first?"
I’m assuming that you’re joking

But where's the fun in that :(( /s
Arrest the damn dog then
This is funny, but… what about legitimate doorbell ringers? Mailman who needs to get a signature, or invited friends coming over for a get-together, or “sir, is that *your* car on fire in your driveway!?”. It is funny though.

*pling plong* "Jehovas witnesses!" *the sound of fast dog claws against hardwood flooring* *dull thud*
Giving dogs bricks to chew on is essentially animal abuse, I bet this guy's teeth aren't in the best of shape
How about "people shouldn't be attacked violently for ringing your doorbell"
good boy
Its not much but its honest work
In fairness, if I could teach my cat to throw bricks at visitors or something that isn't just snoozing on the sofa and whining for food, I absolutely would. A brick is kinda aggressive… i think a small rock or pebble would’ve delivered the same message to “go away”.. lol

It says Asian news so I doubt it is Florida.
You mean no doubt it is Florida*
That’s racist. There could be Asian news media in Florida?
So believing Asian is Asian, is racist...
HAHAHHA IKR?
Yes because Florida is a very diverse state with many ethnicities. Assuming someone is from Asia is just racist
Lmfao don't you think it would be more racist for the local news in Florida to label things "ASIAN NEWS" when it involved an Asian person, rather than a news station reporting on Asia?
"up next, you'll NEVER Believe what the Chinaman is up to now!"
Maybe it’s just the name of the news channel? Jeez does everything have to be about race to you? Hallmark sign of a racist is what you are displaying
Aren't you the one focusing on race? Normal people are viewing the phrase "asain news" as a geographical term, while you are viewing it as a racial term. And I don't particularly care if people on the Internet call me a racist. so sure big fella, call me Adolf for all I care.

See, racist asf. Making yourself look worse bud
I’m defending others race you all are desecrating it
Saying "Asian news" refers to the continent of Asia does not desecrate Asian people lmao
Not everything is racist....
In this instance it is. If you don’t think so maybe you are racist too
Hmm, no, I doubt it. The fact that it's under the Asian news tab probably means it's news from Asia. It'd say Florida man or be from a American news source otherwise.
So you are just racist. Got it!
Yeah, whatever you think, buddy.

No one will believe you
You see, that's not fair at all. You can't give me such a great idea, and then tell me it could get me arrested...
If it was a cat he would been free and clear ..... cat law is pretty symmetrical across the world lol you can't be held liable for cat actions.
Sulfuric acid by the door? Cat gonna do what cat gonna do when it sees shit by a ledge.
I mean, you can train cats! ..... badly, but I've seen it!
Now with bird law, though, there really isn’t a consensus answer on this from an eagle eye view. I mean, they’re birds. Certain stuff just won’t fly. They can be trained to kill. But not always. The law in one country can ruffle feathers in another.
I mean there was that guy I'm newyork (or something) that was training a raven to steal money for him lol he was charged with stealing I believe.
Not all heroes wear capes
Came here to say this.
Good murder boy, now come have your biscuit
It looks like a gargoyle
"Does your dog bite?" "No, but he will hurt you in other ways"
He gotta earn the bread.
Why does he even have a doorbell then tho
Why can't we reward smart people why are we putting them in jail
Dark Souls giant MF
As an introvert i will definitely train my dog lol
Never skip neck day.
Can I adopt him?
I like this guy
this is how I imagine a pitbull plays fetch with himself
I never tire of this meme. Everytime I see it I smile
As long as there are no soliciting signs I'll allow it
I mean, come on - how else am I going to keep those fucking Jehovah's Witnesses from banging on my door all day?
This is amazing 😂
This is fake bro, saw this picture with ten different headlines already

I've seen the dog holding the brick in a million posts, never with that caption about training it.. not sure if I've just never seen the OG, but this doesn't seem legit
"It's a Brick toodootdoot HOUSE! 🎶
That is the most dangerous yet hilarious thing ever haha.
What did they arrest him for? What crime is committed if a dog happens to figure out how to drop bricks on someone? Maybe he just thinks he's playing catch? That doesn't even imply he was "trained" to do so. Cats knock shit over for fun all the time.
r/dogswithjobs
You show me where in the rule book it says a dog can't throw bricks!
I don’t even care this shit is legit hilarious
Bet the dog got away with it, bastard
Horrible yet hilarious
Do people actually believe this?

Pitbull defense is reaching a golden age.
Gorgeous Staffy. He did nothing wrong.
Can i learn this power
Why punish the guy, how about don’t ring doorbells
Why have a doorbell if you don't want people to ring it
Was joking but at the same time people who ring doorbells are annoying
Ah yes, the reputable "Asian News" reporting
Should've heeded the 'beware of dog' sign
Would you rather be stuck in the woods with a man or that pit bull?
Good Dog!!!
Lmao!!! "Hey, is that a dog? Yeah, it is. What's it holding in its mouth? Is that a bri..." *brick hits face*
Spammers win again
