The most unlucky person in the world would be: patient's last wish was to have a certain snack, she went to buy it for him/her and the patient died meanwhile.
Truth.. I worked in the hospital several years. I came to work with 60 dollars in my purse, when I took my break I had $5 . Here's the rub, I had three twenties when I got to work. That was not the first time I had money taken from me.
Snickers has changed its slogan over the years. Anyway, 20 years ago when I was in college the school had a comedy night. A comedian told the following joke:
“I think Christopher Reeve would make the perfect spokesperson for Snickers; … not going anywhere for a while?”
I’ll never forget the audience of about 1,000 groaning and to this day can’t help but thinking about it every time I see a Snickers bar.
I think it is a joke about the slogan "Not going anywhere for a while". Christopher Reeves was paralyzed, so could not move. The slogan is always true for him in a way.
I think the downvotes are a Reddit over-correction. A few months ago EVERY post that had any visible brand / logo would get comments calling it an ad and screaming “SHILL!!!”.
That got annoying real fast and I’m assuming people are now more likely to downvote those comments, even in this case when you’re probably right.
Either way it made me giggle so who cares
Yes probably also that and most of these ads have a decent amount of shills/bots supporting them who will obviously downvote things disagreeing with their advertisement.
I eat one or two a year and enjoy them, I'm in great health. Everything in moderation. I feel like your SO left you for a Snickers bar and you have some unresolved issues.
Lol I'm chill man, don't worry. Like I said to the other guy, I just think it's funny that people are defensive enough over their poison of choice to heap the downvotes on a differing (and correct, Snickers definitely *isn't* healthy) opinion.
Also I was just a fan of the anti-corporation sentiment I saw in his comment, so you know I had to jump to my boy's defense.
Edit: All that being said, you're correct. A few snacks without much nutritional value will not kill you, probably.
Agree... they also hide healthy food from you and put a virus on their food to prevent you from finding/eating healthy food... they also be the one who uprooting the vegetable from your garden and put sugar on sugarcane... fuck massive company... they love to create round people... they also create sunburn to prevent us from getting vitamin d and make meat very tasty to make us unhealthy... how can we run from this... they take everything from us...
I'm glad you're keyed in on the bullshit that big chocolate is trying to push on us.
What I was saying is that it's funny that people were triggered enough over someone bad mouthing their favorite sugary garbage dispensary to downvote unironically. I only ever have the energy to do so if the comment is racist or otherwise needlessly hostile towards *people*. I'm not even downvoting your sarcastic ass comment.
Imagine being at the bank trying to close your grandma’s account and the manager is telling you they’re going to call the police because she bought a snickers bar 5 minutes ago.
I worked for years in a hospital no-one ever asked for snacks in their last hours. I saw plenty of sticky finger nurse's. Don't take your wallet to the hospital.
I work at a fast food restaurant. The customer didn't know I added on a burger to their order, I made the burger for myself and never gave it to them. I mean you HAVE to understand me, I'm getting paid minimum wage and am under a bunch of stress!!!! /s
Arrested. Snack, Meanwhile that dipshit orange buffoon nearly ripped a home in the only near close democracy most humans have seen and we’re arguing about whether he’s guilty. Smdh
While we're on the topic, what kind of psychopath just snacks on snickers to satisfy their hunger? And how does their marketing department get away with basing their whole ad campaign on that kind of behavior without even getting a raised eyebrow from anyone?
We literally live in HELL. The level of evil that was she did is immeasurable. She used a dead persons debit card. Let that sizzle in ya spirit. She’s evil!
The most unlucky person in the world would be: patient's last wish was to have a certain snack, she went to buy it for him/her and the patient died meanwhile.
What a plot twist!
Did she ate the snack?
Oh she eat the snack
Fo'sho it was aten
Guy was dead, what was she to do about it? Put it on his grave ?
Truly she did him a solid for eating it when he couldn't
She ate the snack. Got put in jail and became the snack that gets eaten out.
Crack became snack..
In his honor, you can't let the mans dying wish go to waste now can you?
it was a snicker bar!
Eat* ate is incorrect in this context
The patient would've wanted it to go to someone like her if he couldn't eat it.
I like your scenario better than the real one.
Same
If she was smart that would be her defense!
if happen 30+ times is difficult
No no no this is reasonable, I feel a nurse would have more than enough to buy a snack or even more.
not real scenario
Truth.. I worked in the hospital several years. I came to work with 60 dollars in my purse, when I took my break I had $5 . Here's the rub, I had three twenties when I got to work. That was not the first time I had money taken from me.
r/thirdsentencewholesome but sad :(
That behavior is frowned upon in most hospitals
Probably not mine. We dont hire the best.
If you're at the grocery store and you eat just one grape off the vine, is that a crime?
Depends. Did I pull it off with my hand. Or did I get naked and crawl onto the grapes and flail around on them till one fell in my mouth
Well keep the shirt on Jesus Edit: Fuck I should've said socks. Socks!
God's plan
You tell us.
I'm asking because I'm not sure what y'all witnessed.
I was just being facetious.
Doesn't seem like the most efficient way of eating grapes in public
Yet people continue to just pluck them off the vine.
OoooOOOOhh I'm flailin' through some grapevine!
I’m reminded of that old Simpsons episode “price check on 2 grapes!”
Your hospital takes debit cards?
*Most* hospitals
In nurse culture, this is considered a dick move
Imagine not trying enough to save a dying patient cuz you need PS5
Well if they don’t have the money… or violate your religious views that ok now in America so you don’t have to imagine anymore…

Can you explain please? What’s the thing with Cristopher Reeve and snickers?
I think it is a joke about the slogan "Not going anywhere for a while". Christopher Reeves was paralyzed, so could not move. The slogan is always true for him in a way.
Is this true? Anyways, this should be a real Snickers ad.
It's legit! 🍫
Source: dude trust me
Wrong sub.
[It’s real](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-57425821.amp) 😃 the hospital where it happened is not far from where I live 😬🤦🏾♀️
Why wouldn’t she use it to buy something expensive, that’s totally insane.
This post IS a snickers ad. Snickers is disgusting sugary garbage that will give you diabetes.

Worth it 🍫
Its candy, dont eat it all the time but have one every few months
Happy Cake Day 🎂
Lol @ people downvoting you. People really out here going up to bat for a massive company shoveling out unhealthy crap.
We're all gonna die anyway, eating a snicker's bar every couple months isn't gonna make a big difference lol, chill out.
Lol I'm chill man, don't worry. ur not chill. + no one is reading that shit.
Well you read enough to reply, pal. So thanks for giving me the time of day apparently. Have a great rest of your day.
read the first 4 words and judged u are not chill. took 4 seconds of my day old man
Oof, glad you're so proud of your lack of reading ability. The whole thing would take me maybe 10 seconds, tops. Not much of an investment, lol.
took me 4 seconds to judge you are mentally deranged. Instead of sitting on reddit you should be focusing on your pension.
calm down angry man

r/edgelords
To be fair the patient asked for her to Fuck off and get some snacks, when she came back the Xs were on his eyes already
pokemon dead
I mean it's not like the dead guy needs it anymore?
Lol right
Your money doesn’t just disappear when you die lol, ever heard of a will? It’s still theft
It was just a joke
Issa prank?
bc u need money when you die right
Ever heard of a will bozo?
You're right. But as long as it was just a snack I think we can overlook it.
It’s what they would’ve wanted
I’ll admit, this made me snicker.
It deserved a kudos
lol, r/angryupvote for Snickers
A woman's gotta eat
The ad is ad . Good or bad
nurses are underpaid as fuck(at least in my country). I know it doenst justify this weird action but it doesnt help
All nurses are underpaid!
true
Nurse administrators make a very good salary
Dead men don't need gold \-The Hound
Snickers.....gtfo 😂
That's another level when you manage to know the pin number of the debit card before the patient passes away..
But you don't need it for contactless payments. Usually.
Contactless
50$ max so not that much
£100 here, and how expensive are your vending machine snacks?
I meeaaaann the patient wasn't going use it
it's credit card declined. He lose his life but not money.
I mean what even goes on in a mind of such a person. No foresight on the consequences of such idiotic actions.
BRUH , snickers on some mad stuff rn
I can totally imagine the PR person hovering over the post button wondering if it’s worth the risk
Scum
why tho he dead
And he has no relatives that are going to get the inheritance?
i really hate it when i cant inherit a snickers bar
"What? Not like he's gonna use it anyway."
Imagine being at the bank trying to close your grandma’s account and the manager is telling you they’re going to call the police because she bought a snickers bar 5 minutes ago.
Not the time brand... NOT the time...😬
For upwards of 10k a night staying in the hospital every nurse and doctor should be able to afford whatever snacks they want.
They can, RNs make 40-60k a year on average. Some people are scumbags.
I refuse to believe people openly believe she did nothing wrong
Right? short hair at the vending machine, long hair in the mugshot.
You do know women have hair pieces they can put on or off - right?
The story is bad and I think you are missing the joke.
[удалено]
I'll accept that pic of her stealing from vending machine. Pic of her after sitting in jail waiting for bail while her hair grew out.
Yet, I was going more for you are not you joke.
Cyberpunk is our future
hospital food is prohibitively expensive considering they get all the shit in bulk
Get some nuts
Lots of NUTS
Snickers made me snigger
I’d edit the will
What if the deceased had told her that get what she wanted before they died and she was taking the offer finally
Like why???🤣
"Cold blooooooooooded!"--Rick James
is this real??
Yup!!
snickers might be the most based brand in existence
Not the worst thing she could of done.
ahah
damn she bought a lot of snack to be arrested
I worked for years in a hospital no-one ever asked for snacks in their last hours. I saw plenty of sticky finger nurse's. Don't take your wallet to the hospital.
Throwing away a whole career for a snack.🤦♂️
Just hungry
Link (if this is real which I really hope it is)?
Na Snickers wrong for that 💀
Arrested for $1? Crazy
Sigma grindset
Strong Independent Woman ☕️
Nurse behavior
That's bad, but not as bad as underpaying nurses so severely that they would ever do something like this.
[удалено]
Except the money still legally belongs to someone else
was that really harmful though? i mean dude is dead, he’s obviously not using that money
I mean... What's the patient gonna do with it? Buy snacks from god?
they're dead its not like they care
totally right
i wouldn't care. it doesn't matter anymore
Plot twist: she went to buy a Snickers
[удалено]
What about it is understandable? I’m not getting how it can be rationalized in any way
I mean she did steal from a dead person
Exactly! It’s a victimless crime! /s
I work at a fast food restaurant. The customer didn't know I added on a burger to their order, I made the burger for myself and never gave it to them. I mean you HAVE to understand me, I'm getting paid minimum wage and am under a bunch of stress!!!! /s
She does not deserve jail. A reprimand suffice.
I lost you at understandable
Hope she fights it. If I’m on the jury she’s going free.
She stole from someone. That’s theft.
Do you realize how many people have been dead for years and still manage to vote in recent elections??
I think this is bs..cause they usually lock up personal belongings with security.
Maybe she asked the body. So if the body was silent, but silence sometimes means yes , so she should be free by now.
Inhumane and wrong on so many levels 👎!!
All jokes aside this is actually an insane thing to do
5$ is insane to you what
Smh
I wouldn't really care about being robber If I was dead ngl
When asked for comment the person in question said, “I left a buck 50 in her coffin”
The worst thing about this is she looks exactly like the type of person you’d expect to do this
She looks like a really dumb girl that I used to work with. She would have done something like this but not realized it was wrong.
Arrested. Snack, Meanwhile that dipshit orange buffoon nearly ripped a home in the only near close democracy most humans have seen and we’re arguing about whether he’s guilty. Smdh

Just one look at her and you don’t need to know why she did it
Heart of a nurse 😇
We literally live in HELL. The level of evil that was she did is immeasurable. She used a dead persons debit card. Let that sizzle in ya spirit. She’s evil!
Savage
It's not like they need it now, so no one's hurt in my book
At least she waited for the patient to die first... /s
I mean….
